Hello guys hope all of you are doing good.
I bought this game last year with the thought of playing it as it looked like it contained the essence of dark mysteries. I never got the chance. It was only now, after my uni started, I remembered I had a game to finish. Yes, I am the risk taker as I have nothing interesting to do after studies and anime.
How Did I Find It?
I was on a shopping spree last year, in the mid-part of December, when most of the previous year games were on huge discounts. I finally had the money to buy some games for cheap too. Also, I saw a review about the game which said that it wasn’t that good and the discs were being sold off cheaply. I thought, why not I try it. I saw the trailer it provided and saw vampire like creatures and added it to my cart. Little did I know that it was a Jackpot for me!
This had everything that I wanted. You can why below. ⬇️
Before playing it I went over to the controls to familiarise myself. I DID play Mortal Shell and my sense of handling normal control was shaken. I changed some of it to adjust to my play style and moved onto the gameplay. The background music was SICK and I mean in a good way. The somber tone followed by the urgent seeking of safety from a creature really got me in the mood of the game. I remembered that there was gonna be half man half wolves so I really gave me goosebumps. Also, I had used medium difficult, Ik what is in the title, but I had changed the difficulty later on during the initial gun fights as I didn’t feel that challenging.
Off to the start. The guy was tortured day in and day out. To break his spirit. I made some comments in the gameplay too. His body gave up due to the everyday routine. He, apparently, had broken the code of the Order. Until one fateful day, the chain of events had favoured him above the rest. He got free from the men and ran out of the place. I, then thought to myself, this maybe was how torture was done in the time of the world wars, maybe or maybe even worse.
Word travelled fast in the catacombs. He was soon hunted down by those he knew.
The game introduced it’s controls through certain events that I couldn’t catch first. After dying once I could the drift.
The scene where I started to love it again. The retro/ancient England vibe is what I love the most. The historic set up is my favourite field. For those who also love retro England, you have my love. Also, I felt that this scene would look great in a PC. With 4k, 120 fps🤤. One day…
The itself was very dark. One of the things I noticed right off the bat it, I had no shadow. The character named, Galahad, had no shadow of it’s own. Maybe a vampire himself🤪.
This was the scene where I realised that I had to change the difficulty to Hard. Combat was pretty classic. My trigger finger and aim response is good too. I did too later on. Also, another thing I noticed. A great addition to the game I would say, is, the fact that the view in 3rd person is a bit blurred when taking cover. So, if the character sees, we also see in good vision. A bit yet not so much realistic.
The second French person to be described as flirtatious. The first one I found was in the Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the story of Arno Dorian.
Yeah, the underground tunnel was way to dark for me to see. Because, when I played it was morning time and the difference light difference messed with my eyes. I got them all though and didn’t die.
Another SICK animation. The ray gun was a hit for me and the creature. Of course we know that the death ray was made during the time of Tesla. I was really looking for forward to what the game had in store for me.
A classic round table conference. I thought, of course why not. If something went sideways it had to be brought up in a round table. But no… this was not a meeting of the ordinary influential people. It had many know faces from history. Some who even I look up to!!
Here was Darwin. The man himself. With his companions.
I almost couldn’t control myself when I first saw that this has Tesla. I LOVE TESLA. The most efficient man in modern history. I was fascinated by his work, about free electricity for all, his well documented study notebook, and his sleeping habits. His mother and father’s background, I know it. In my teenage years I used to want to be like him. His theories are something to delve into for one’s mind opening experience. This was the moment where I felt that this game was a worthy and good purchase on my end. This was also the moment where I decided to take some time off as my back started to ache, will continue later.
This game basically has all that I want! The retro England, man-wolves, and people of science(Tesla). For those who also love these: this game is for you. Although I would agree, that this game used motion blur which I am not a big fan of. Not used to it but I am sure I would if I put in the hours.
Enjoy the gameplay.
