Outlast: Whistleblower es la expansión del juego Outlast. El DLC fue publicado por Red Barrels Games para PC, vía Steam y PlayStation4 en mayo de 2014 para los Estados Unidos y Europa. El 18 de junio del mismo año, Red Barrels Games decidió sacar el juego para la Xbox One.
el protagonista Waylon Park, encerrado en una sala. Súbitamente, aparecen dos científicos que levantan a Park y lo sujetan a una silla, colocada enfrente de un grupo de televisores. Uno de los científicos le dice que no hace falta que se despierte, pero que al menos abra los ojos; acto seguido le lame la oreja. El científico es interrumpido por sus compañeros, que le avisan que Billy Hope ha progresado dentro del Motor Morfogenético. Éste se marcha de inmediato, y da comienzo el experimento al que se ve sometido Park, donde figuran varios monitores con imágenes del test de Rorschach. Waylon, amarrado al asiento, se ve sometido al proceso.
Dos horas antes. El juego retorna al pasado, más concretamente dos horas antes de los acontecimientos narrados previamente. En esta escena, Park se encuentra escribiendo un correo electrónico que más tarde mandaría a Miles Upshur, donde le pide investigar el Hospital Psiquiátrico de Mount Massive, donde él se encuentra en ese preciso instante. Inmediatamente oye un ruido y se sobresalta; se levanta de la mesa y se encuentra a uno de sus compañeros diciéndole que vaya a ver qué sucede en el Motor Morfogenético
Eddie Gluskin visto a través del monitor del ordenador, después de recorrer todo el laboratorio subterráneo, Park llega hasta su puesto de trabajo y comienza a teclear en el ordenador. Steve, uno de los científicos, comienza a preguntarle si está conforme con la situación, pero Waylon no contesta. Mientras tanto, delante de ellos, uno de los internos es conducido a la fuerza para realizar un experimento. Éste pide piedad y ayuda, sin caso alguno. Consigue escaparse de los guardias y llega hasta el cristal, y lo golpea, pidiéndole al protagonista que no lo permita.
Segundos después, Eddie Gluskin es introducido en la máquina y Park observa como forcejea en el interior, y poco a poco se convierte en un variante. Terminada la faena, Steve le pide que regrese a su oficina. De vuelta en la sala, se ve amedrentado por uno de los principales superiores de la Corporación Murkoff, el señor Blaire. Éste, que se percató del correo electrónico que acababa de mandar Park, ordena a dos guardias que le inmovilicen. Finalmente, Jeremy Blaire se acerca a Waylon y le informa que será sometido para el siguiente experimento con el Motor Morfogenético

Tras sufrir con el experimento, Waylon es soltado. Se examina su ropa, que ha sido cambiada, y mira a su alrededor. Se encuentra en una sala cerrada, rodeado de demás pacientes, mientras en su cabeza se sucedían muchas más imágenes del Test de Rorschach. El paciente de la derecha es inmediatamente asesinado por el Walrider, liberado tras los fallos en el Motor. Park toma la videocámara presente en la sala y es ayudado por uno de los variantes, que le permite salir.

El caos se apodera del hospital donde está encerrado Waylon. Refugiándose dentro de un conducto de ventilación, se encuentra a un guardia de seguridad y a otro compañero hablando sobre cómo conseguir que la Corporación Murkoff vuelva a reorganizar el asilo. Uno de ellos indica que es posible que la radio de banda corta ubicada en la prisión puede servir para mandar una señal de socorro y evitar una masacre dentro del asilo.
Conforme avanza por el edificio, se encuentra a varios científicos y empleados de Murkoff que temen de él, confundiéndolo con un variante
Waylon Park termina en una de las numerosas alas del complejo, donde se encuentra con uno de sus primeros enemigos, el cocinero Frank Manera, el cual está acabando con un interno para posteriormente valerse de su carne para alimentarse.
Tras tomar unas llaves de un guardia de seguridad, Park abre la puerta y llega al crematorio, pero es emboscado por Manera, que lo introducirá en un horno. Waylon logra escaparse a través de una agujero en la pared trasera, y tras evitar otros esporádicos encuentros con el cocinero, llegará hasta el patio exterior, plagado de densa niebla

Llegado al área de recreación se encuentra con Los gemelos. Logra escapar de ellos pero se encuentra con más variantes, por lo que decide ascender hasta lo alto de una de las torres de control. Cuando logra entrar a la torre de la prisión, encuentra la radio pero es golpeado por Jeremy Blaire, que inmediatamente la destruye para evitar la intervención de la policía. Posteriormente intenta ahorcarlo, pero escucha las pisadas de Chris Walker que provoca su huída. Park evita al poderoso variante y abandona la sala
A continuación escucha por megafonía de que el proceso de evacuación de emergencia está en marcha. Durante su camino para salvarse junto al resto del personal de Murkoff, se encuentra con el Padre Martin, escribiendo en la pared con sangre.
Evitando otro encuentro con Walker, llega al tejado y luego baja al suelo del patio interior. Encuentra un grupo de puertas electrificadas que llevan adentro del edificio. Incapaz de acceder, la única forma de avanzar es caminar por un barandal que comunica al exterior. El tramo finaliza, y Waylon se ve obligado a saltar al edificio aledaño, pero solo logra agarrarse a una tabla que se quiebra, haciéndolo caer y atravesando el techo
Buscando la forma de salir, oye la conversación entre dos internos, acerca de atrapar a Park y entregarlo al “novio”. En un punto, un variante llamado Dennis lo ve y lo persigue hasta las escaleras. Finalmente cae en la trampa
y Waylon Park se entrega a sí mismo a las manos de Eddie Gluskin. En la guarida de Gluskin, descubre las atrocidades que realiza con tal de construirse su esposa perfecta, recurriendo a la mutilación para fabricarse su futura mujer. Termina siendo emboscado por Eddie, y prácticamente sin escapatoria, se esconde en una taquilla. Gluskin sabe que se encuentra encerrado en su interior y lo lleva a una sala de operaciones, rociándolo con gas para poder sedarlo.
Eddie Gluskin castrando a un paciente, observado a través de la taquilla por Waylon, pasan 12 horas y Waylon se despierta y ve como dos internos capturados son castrados y luego asesinados. Waylon se duerme otra vez, y al rato se despierta desnudo, solo para darse cuenta que está a punto de perder su entrepierna a manos del variante. Poco antes de que la sierra entre en contacto con su carne, es salvado por un interno que se enzarza en una lucha con Gluskin. Park aprovecha el momento para soltarse y escapar, pero Eddie vuelve y persigue a Park. Su única escapatoria es saltar por una ventana
Waylon tiene que pasar por el pabellón masculino para poder ir al bloque de administración, pero está cerrado con llave así que tiene que buscarla tratando de evitar a Gluskin. Toma la llave pero es sorprendido por Eddie, que le atrapa y le conduce al gimnasio donde están todos los cuerpos colgados de sus víctimas. Intentando colgar a Waylon, una vigas de madera se rompen provocando un cambio de fuerza, empalando a Gluskin en una viga de metal, acabando con su reinado de terror
En el pabellón masculino, Waylon presencia desde una ventana como la capilla del asilo arde tras la auto-inmolación del Padre Martin. Consigue arribar a una sala en donde halla varios soldados de la División Táctica de Murkoff examinando el cadáver del doctor Richard Trager. Park continúa su camino.
Blaire a punto de clavarle el cuchillo a Park, park llega al bloque de administración y se encuentra a un malherido Blaire en el suelo, ofreciéndole un trato a Waylon de que le ayude. Park hace caso omiso de él, y a cambio provoca la ira de Blaire, que se levanta e introduce un puñal en su abdomen
No obstante, antes de poder rematar a Waylon, aparece un Walrider esta vez controlado por Miles, que se interna en su cuerpo acaba con Jeremy Blaire
Waylon accede al exterior del asilo, entra en un coche aparcado en la inmediaciones de la entrada. El coche no arranca, pero gracias a la ayuda del Walrider consigue salir del asilo y hacer lo que Miles Upshur no pudo: contar la verdad al mundo.
En la escena final se ve un portátil con el vídeo a punto de ser cargado. Tras él, a contraluz, figura un hombre que le pregunta si está seguro de lo que va hacer; si lo hace será objetivo de la Corporación Murkoff, y todos sus seres queridos y personas cercanas van a estar en serio peligro. Finalmente le pregunta: "¿Es tan importante para usted dañar a Murkoff?" A lo que Waylon Park responde presionando la tecla para subir la grabación y cerrando el portátil.

Hello very evening today I come to bring you the DLC of the first part of outlast history
Outlast: Whistleblower is the expansion of the game Outlast. The DLC was published by Red Barrels Games for PC, via Steam and PlayStation4 in May 2014 for the United States and Europe. On June 18th of the same year, Red Barrels Games decided to release the game for Xbox One.

One of the scientists tells him that he doesn't have to wake up, but at least open his eyes, and then lick his ear. The scientist is interrupted by his colleagues, who tell him that Billy Hope has progressed within the Morphogenetic Engine. He leaves immediately, and the experiment to which Park is subjected begins, where there are several monitors with images of the Rorschach test. Waylon, tied to the seat, is subjected to the process.
Two hours earlier. The game returns to the past, more specifically two hours before the previously narrated events. In this scene, Park finds himself writing an email that he would later send to Miles Upshur, asking him to investigate Mount Massive Psychiatric Hospital, where he is currently located. Immediately he hears a noise and is startled; he gets up from the table and finds one of his colleagues telling him to go see what's going on in the Morphogenetic Engine
Eddie Gluskin saw through the computer monitor, after going through the entire subway lab, Park arrives at his work station and starts typing on the computer. Steve, one of the scientists, starts asking him if he's happy with the situation, but Waylon doesn't answer. Meanwhile, in front of them, one of the interns is forcibly taken away to perform an experiment. He asks for mercy and help, without any case. He manages to escape from the guards and reaches the glass, and hits it, asking the protagonist not to allow it.
Seconds later, Eddie Gluskin is introduced to the machine and Park watches as he struggles inside, and gradually becomes a variant. When the job is done, Steve asks him to return to his office. Back in the room, he is bullied by one of Murkoff Corporation's major superiors, Mr. Blaire. Mr. Blaire, who noticed the e-mail Park had just sent, orders two guards to immobilize him. Finally, Jeremy Blaire approaches Waylon and informs him that he will be submitted for the next experiment with the Morphogenetic Engine
Andrew, moments before submitting Park to the experiment, after suffering from the experiment, Waylon is released. He examines his clothes, which have been changed, and looks around. He is in a closed room, surrounded by other patients, while many more images of the Rorschach Test were running through his head. The patient on the right is immediately killed by the Walrider, who is released after engine failure. Park takes the video camera present in the room and is helped by one of the variants, which allows him to leave.
The cook, one of the interns, chaos takes over the hospital where Waylon is locked up. Taking refuge inside an air vent, he finds a security guard and another fellow inmate talking about how to get the Murkoff Corporation to reorganize the nursing home. One indicates that the prison's shortwave radio may be able to send a distress signal and prevent a massacre inside the nursing home.
As he walks through the building, he meets several Murkoff scientists and employees who are afraid of him, mistaking him for a
Waylon Park ends up in one of the numerous wings of the complex, where he meets one of his first enemies, the cook Frank Manera, who is finishing off an inmate and then using his meat for food.
After taking a few keys from a security guard, Park opens the door and arrives at the crematorium, but is ambushed by Manera, who will put him in an oven. Waylon manages to escape through a hole in the back wall, and after avoiding other sporadic encounters with the cook, he arrives at the outer courtyard, plagued by dense fog
Blaire destroying the prison radio Arriving at the recreation area he meets The Twins. He manages to escape from them but finds more variations, so he decides to climb to the top of one of the control towers. When he manages to enter the prison tower, he finds the radio but is hit by Jeremy Blaire, who immediately destroys it to avoid the intervention of the police. Later he tries to hang him but hears the footsteps of Chris Walker which provokes his escape. Park avoids the powerful variant and leaves the room
You then hear over the loudspeaker that the emergency evacuation process is underway. On his way to save himself and the rest of Murkoff's staff, he meets Father Martin, writing in blood on the wall.
Avoiding another encounter with Walker, he arrives at the roof and then descends to the floor of the inner courtyard. He finds a group of electrified doors leading into the building. Unable to access, the only way forward is to walk through a railing that connects to the outside. The stretch ends, and Waylon is forced to jump to the neighboring building, but he only manages to grab onto a board that breaks, making him fall and go through the roof
Looking for a way out, she overhears the conversation between two inmates, about catching Park and giving him to the "boyfriend". At one point, a variant named Dennis sees him and chases him up the stairs. He finally falls into the trap
and Waylon Park gives itself into the hands of Eddie Gluskin. In Gluskin's lair, he discovers the atrocities he performs in order to build himself his perfect wife, resorting to mutilation to make himself his future wife. He ends up being ambushed by Eddie, and practically without escape, he hides in a locker. Gluskin knows that he is locked inside and takes him to an operating room, spraying him with gas in order to sedate him.

Waylon falls asleep again, and after a while wakes up naked, only to realize that he is about to lose his crotch to the variant. Shortly before the saw comes into contact with his flesh, he is saved by an inmate who gets into a fight with Gluskin. Park takes advantage of the moment to break free and escape, but Eddie returns and pursues Park. His only escape is to jump out a window
Waylon has to go through the men's ward to get to the administration block, but it's locked so he has to look for it trying to avoid Gluskin. He takes the key but is surprised by Eddie, who catches him and leads him to the gym where all the bodies of his victims are hung. Trying to hang Waylon, a wooden beam breaks, causing a change in strength, impaling Gluskin on a metal beam, ending his reign of terror
In the men's ward, Waylon is present from a window as the chapel of the asylum burns after Father Martin's self-immolation. He manages to arrive at a room where several soldiers from Murkoff's Tactical Division are examining Dr. Richard Trager's body. Park continues on his way.
Blaire about to stick the knife in Park, Park arrives at the administration block and finds a badly injured Blaire on the ground, offering Waylon a deal to help him. Park ignores him, and in return provokes Blaire's anger, who gets up and sticks a dagger in his abdomen
However, before Waylon can be finished off, a Walrider appears, this time controlled by Miles, who goes into his body and finishes off Jeremy Blaire
Waylon accesses the outside of the asylum, enters a car parked in the vicinity of the entrance. The car doesn't start, but thanks to the help of the Walrider he manages to get out of the asylum and do what Miles Upshur couldn't: tell the world the truth.
)In the final scene, you see a laptop with the video about to be uploaded. Behind it, against the light, is a man asking if he is sure of what he is going to do; if he does, he will be a target for the Murkoff Corporation, and all his loved ones and people close to him will be in serious danger. Finally, he asks, "Is it so important for you to harm Murkoff? Waylon Park responds by pressing the upload button and closing the laptop.
