A randomizer is kind of a mod in videogames that randomizes everything: monsters, locations, items, songs, etc; examples of randomizers can be found in Dark Souls which have its own randomizer as well, or even Elden Ring. My first time playing a randomizer run was with The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time a few years ago and it was amazing, it also burned my neurons though. In this run, I only randomized the items which can be found on treasure chests, all of the key items as well excepting those from the Sheikah Tablet and the parasail. I didn´t want everything to be easy so I´m completing it in Master Mode (hard mode basically), I´m completing it with 3 hearts only, I´m just using to shrine orbs to increase my stamina but that´s it, and I´m not using the map, I mean, I only use it when I need to teleport, I won´t upgrade my amors either.
So when you wake up as Link there is like three treasure chests, said treasure chests include hylian clothes for link, this is a randomizer so keep in mind everything inside the treasure chests will be randomizer, for example, instead of getting hylian clothes, I got...Zant´s Helmet (DLC) for no reason which is pretty useful not gonna lie.
I forgot to mention that not only treasure chests are randomizer but the shrines too, I mean, maybe you wouldn´t get an orb to increase your stats, but you can get new clothes, dishes, weapons, I don´t know, whatever the randomizer wants you to get, in this case, the randomizer got me the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 clothes which is ironic because I never got it in the basic game because I´m too lazy for that.
I managed to get in one sanctuary and I was able to complete it without issues, I found a treasure chest which I thought ¨I´m not gonna open, probably nothing important there¨, but I don´t know something in my mind told me that maaaybe I should open it and what a surprise, I got the Master Cycle Zero, in case you don´t know, the said Master Cyzle Zero is a bike which is DLC content I think, you can find it later in the game but I found it sooner than I thought because of the randomizer.
It´s funny because I wasn´t expecting it at all, I wanted the Master Sword to be honest haha, but hey, I won´t complain, it´s pretty useful...until you run out of fuel that is.
As I said before, I´m playing the game without looking at the map that much, only when I´m too lazy to walk and I need to teleport, I was walking through the mountains and you can actually get some treasure chests by climbing them, I stopped getting interesting things from the randomizer, I only got dishes and food which is like filler to me, but in certain moment, some treasure chest got me....Mipha´s Grace, yep, I haven´t been in Zora´s Domain at all, yet I got Mipha´s Grace, thank you Randomizer, it´ll be pretty useful to me because enemies can actually insta kill me with one hit (no kidding).
I actually reached to Rito Village, in said place one of the Divine Beast is located, it´s part of the main story, you get to the Divine Beast in the sky, solve the whole dungeon and beat the boss, I´m detailing all of this because I forgot to take screenshot (bruh) but I did take screenshot of something, once you complete the Divine Beast, you get Revali's Gale, a special skill, but I didn´t get that, I got...well, see it for yourself.
By the way, I forgot to mention that Kologs are randomized as well, I mean, they can give you a Kolog seed but also they can give you a randomized item, it depends of your luck, it´s cool because you get more motivation to find Kologs, it can get pretty tiring to collect them in the base game because all you collect are the seeds which is fine but there is no more to it, I tell you this because one Kolog gave something really nice and useful, which is Urbosa´s Fury, an useful skill you get through the main story.
Ohh, and guess what.
What can I say, the randomizer loves me hahaha, ok that was a joke, don´t take it seriously, but yeah, I got all of the skills you get thorugh the main story, I even got Revali's Gale through a treasure chest, maybe I got a little lucky in this run, again, I forgot to take screenshot about that.
Anyways, I ran out of luck because I looked everywhere for treasure chests and anything I got was dishes, food or useless materials, trust me, I searched for days and I got nothing important, maybe some clothes but that´s it, I was running out of weapons too, let´s say I wasn´t at my best moments.
There is this fella who can actually insta kill me with one hit from its lasers and believe it or not, I can´t beat this thing just because of that, even with better weapons at all, of course I just need to increase my armor stats but my pride won´t let me to.
This is the when the magic happened, so I decided to go to Zora´s Domain because I had the Zora´s clothes already and that way I can complete the Divine Beast, I was running out of weapons to be honest and as I said I wasn´t at my best moments. I was chilling and getting ready for the worst and that´s when I saw a treasure chest and I opened it, I thought it was a material or food but it was actually the MASTER SWORD.
Once I got the Master Sword I went to Zora´s Domain, I did everything I had do in that place and went to the Divine Beast, I completed all of the dungeon which this time I felt a little more interesting by the way, it was my first Divine Beast when I played the game for the first time.
This is it, I haven´t been able to complete the whole game, I thought this was going to be faster but it´s taking me more time that I had planned, it was getting harder but once I got the Master Sword I managed to get some things done, take into account that I´m playint it with three hearts only, Master Mode and everything randomized more or less but next time if I even play this randomizer thing I´ll try to make it even harder, it´s been a fun experience and it led me to play this in another way. There are two Divine Beast left and once I complete them, I´ll go to Hyrule´s Castle and end the game.
All of the screenshots were taken by me
