When we talk about cooperative games we immediately think of Resident Evil, Bordelands, Portal, Payday or the so iconic Left 4 Dead, and of course there are many more but we always tend to pay more attention to those who are renowned in this world of video games. It is true that being more famous does not mean that they are fun, which they are, but I think there are better ones. As you could see in the title, I will tell you about Diablo III, a game that at first glance would not be to my liking but when I tried it with my friends I completely changed my mind, I will share my experience playing it and how was playing it with friends on the same console.
Diablo III is an action role-playing game developed by Blizzard, a developer that has earned its great credit for games like StarCraft, World of Warcraft and Overwatch, and many other games of yesteryear. Diablo III is the third installment of the Diablo saga and counting on a fourth installment that, honestly, I really want to play it. As I mentioned earlier, Diablo III is the type that I play that I wouldn't normally play on my own, but this time it was an exception because I dared to try it out with some friends, as we were looking for a cooperative game.
As this is the first game that tests the Diablo saga, I am a bit lost in history, while I was playing it I did not understand anything about what was happening beyond the typical thing that is to stop the Devil, to this factor I have to add the point that I was playing with friends on screen split, so to speak, and it was almost impossible to try to understand something with them by my side but I will try to tell you in short the narrative impulse of the game. This installment of Diablo III takes place one after the events in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Devil, Mephisto and Baal have been defeated and with them their soul stones; the archangel Tyrael is forced to destroy the Stone of the World, an artifact whose function was to protect the Sanctuary of Evil, since it had been corrupted by Baal. From there certain events will be triggered that will take place in Diablo III.
In Diablo III we have to select between five different classes to start our adventure, the available classes are: Wizard, Barbarian, Demon Hunter, (an archer in a nutshell) Monk and Witch Doctor. In its Reaper of Souls expansion, we have the inclusion of a sixth character called: Crusader, a kind of holy knight. Each avatar will have a different personality and will have more prominence, otherwise Diablo II (correct me if I'm wrong).
From my experience I can tell you that I tried two classes, the Demon Hunter and the Crusader, I particularly like the Demon Hunter more, as my friends had chosen attack characters, I could not hurt a support one, which after all it was more in line with my style of play.
As we advance in the game we will have different bases to which we can return after finishing each mission, in it we will have vendors who have objects that were useful to us in our first levels at the beginning of the adventure and as we advance they become more and more useless, the only redeemable thing that they could sell us already in the last moments of the game were colors to combine our armor and life flasks, which I consider the most precious item in the game. We also have the presence of a blacksmith who will specialize in the objects that we will use in combat and we will be able to repair our armor.
I do not know what the game is like on pc, since I have not tried it, but I can say that the game controls are well distributed by the controller, we can use our skills in x, triangle, square, circle, R1 and R2; the positions are used in L1, with the right lever we dodge which is a very useful action on some occasions, with the crosshairs we access the map and we have a tele transport that will take us to the base of the area where we are and with the button Select we will open in inventory. And here comes one of the things that I hate the most about the game, the inventory, but not because it is bad, on the contrary, it is well distributed; one part to show the abilities we have equipped and our statistics, another section to see our statistics in more detail, another to see all our abilities, another to increase certain attributes, another to see and pass money to the people with whom we are playing and a kind of bestiary that explains certain things about Diablo's world. What went with the inventory was how annoying it comes back when you play with someone on the same screen, in my case I always had to wait for my friends to finish fixing their inventory so I could do it (on certain occasions I would go ahead and enter first to inventory) and continue playing. This always happened and it was more annoying in the middle of a fight, it stopped the rhythm of the game and some I died because my teammates checked the inventory without prior notice.
The design is fine, it is nothing to write home about. We will explore medium scenarios in search of our objective and in many places we will find small dungeons where we can level up and find objects that benefit us. The soundtrack, in my opinion, went a little unnoticed to the point I hardly heard it but I don't blame the game, taking into account the conditions in which I played it, it is normal that this type of aspect cannot be appreciated.
The difficulty in this game is something serious and to be afraid of, we will have the typical from an easy difficulty to a difficult one, the interesting thing comes next. Depending on the difficulty in which we are playing, so will our level, in more exact words, the more difficult the more experience we will receive when we defeat an enemy, and the change in difficulty is noticeable in this game. In the last difficulties, my companions and I died a lot, I am serious when I say that it is difficult, even a small skeleton can easily kill you with one blow. That is why I say that the potion of life is the most valuable element.
Conclution
Despite my dislike for games of this style, I have to admit that Diablo III managed to change my opinion, it is a fun game with a world that many of you will like. The controls are not complicated, they are well laid out and to some extent it becomes monotonous to press a button to perform a skill. Playing it with friends is a complete disaster, but not in a bad sense of the word, it is very funny. Its expansion, Reaper of Souls, adds a new character and level, so they will have a little more content to enjoy. I highly recommend them and more if you can play it with someone.

Cuando hablamos de juegos cooperativos inmediatamente pensamos en Resident Evil, Bordelands, Portal, Payday o el tan icónico Left 4 Dead, y por supuesto que hay muchos más pero siempre tendemos a prestarle más atención a los que son de renombre este mundillo de los videojuegos. Cierto es que por ser más famosos no significa que sean divertidos, que lo son, pero creo que hay mejores. Como pudieron observar en el título les hablaré sobre Diablo III, un juego que a simple vista no sería de mi gusto pero cuando lo probé con mis amigos cambié totalmente de opinión, les compartiré mi experiencia jugándolo y qué tal fue jugarlo con amigos en una misma consola.
Diablo III es un juego rol de acción desarrollado por Blizzard, desarrolladora que ha obtenido su gran mérito por juegos como StarCraft, World of Warcraft y Overwatch, y muchos otros juegos de antaño. Diablo III es la tercera entrega de la saga Diablo y contando con una cuarta entrega que, la verdad, tengo muchas ganas de jugarla. Como ya les había mencionado anteriormente, Diablo III es el tipo que juego que normalmente no jugaría por mi propia cuenta pero esta vez fue una excepción porque me atrevía probarlo con unos amigos, ya que estábamos en busca de un juego cooperativo.
Como este es el primer juego que prueba de la saga Diablo ando un poco perdido de la historia, mientras que lo estaba jugando no entendía nada de lo que estaba pasando más allá de lo típico que es detener al Diablo, a este factor tengo que sumarle el punto de que estaba jugando con amigos en pantalla divida, por así decirle, y era casi que imposible tratar de entender algo con ellos a mi lado pero intentaré contarles en resumidas cuentas el impulso narrativo del juego. Esta entrega de Diablo III se sitúa unos después de los acontecimientos en Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Diablo, Mefisto y Baal han sido derrotados y con ellos sus piedras del alma; el arcángel Tyrael se ve en la obligación de destruir la Piedra del Mundo, un artefacto que tenía como función proteger al Santuario del Mal, ya que había sido corrompido por Baal. A partir de ahí se desencadenarán ciertos acontecimientos que tendrán lugar en Diablo III.
En Diablo III tenemos para seleccionar entre cinco clases distintas para dar inicio a nuestra aventura, las clases disponibles son: Mago, Bárbaro, Cazador de Demonios**, (un arquero en pocas palabras) Monje y Medico Brujo. En su expansión Reaper of Souls, contamos con la inclusión de un sexto personaje llamado: Cruzado, una especie de caballero sagrado. Cada avatar tendrá una personalidad diferente y tendrá más protagonismo, caso contrario a Diablo II (corríjanme si me equivoco).
Desde mi experiencia les puedo decir que probé dos clases, el Cazador de Demonios y el Cruzado, particularmente me agrado más el Cazador de Demonios, como mis amigos habían escogido personajes de ataque no me venía mal uno de apoyo, que al fin y al cabo se ajustaba más a mi estilo de juego.
Conforme avanzamos en el juego dispondremos de diferentes bases a las cuales podremos regresar después de terminar cada misión, en ella nos contaremos con vendedores que tienen objetos que nos eran útiles en nuestros primeros niveles al comenzar la aventura y conforme avanzamos se van tornando cada vez más inútiles, lo único rescatable que nos podían vender ya en los últimos momentos del juego eran colores para combinar nuestras armaduras y frascos de vida, que considero el ítem más preciado del juego. También tenemos la presencia de un herrero que se especializara en los objetos que utilizaremos en combate y podremos reparar nuestra armadura.
No sé cómo es el juego en pc, ya que no lo he probado, pero sí puedo decir que los controles del juego están bien distribuidos por el mando, nuestras habilidades las podremos usar en x, triangulo, cuadro, circulo, R1 y R2; las posiciones se usan en L1, con la palanca derecha esquivamos que es una acción muy útil en algunas ocasiones, con las crucetas accedemos al mapa y tenemos un tele transporte que nos llevará a la base de la zona en la que estemos y con el botón Select abriremos en inventario. Y aquí viene una de las cosas que más deteste del juego, el inventario pero no porque sea malo, al contrario, está bien distribuido; una parte para mostrar las habilidades que tengamos equipadas y nuestras estadísticas, otra sección para ver más en detalle nuestras estadísticas, otra para ver todas nuestras habilidades, otra para aumentar ciertos atributos, otra para ver y pasar dinero a las personas con la que estemos jugando y una especie de bestiario que te explica ciertas cosas del mundo de Diablo. A lo que iba con el inventario era lo molesto que vuelve cuando juegas con alguien en una misma pantalla, en mi caso siempre tenía que esperar a que mis amigos terminaran de arreglar su inventario para yo poder hacerlo (en cierta ocasiones me adelantaba y entraba primero al inventario) y continuar con el jugando. Esto siempre ocurría y era más molesto en medio de un combate, detenía el ritmo del juego y algunas morí porque mis compañeros revisaban el inventario sin previo aviso.
El diseño está bien, no es nada del otro mundo. Exploraremos escenarios medianos en busca de nuestro objetivo y en muchos lugares encontremos pequeñas mazmorras donde subir de nivel y encontrar objetos que nos beneficien. La banda sonora, en mi opinión, pasó un poco desapercibida al punto casi ni escucharla pero no culpo al juego, teniendo en cuenta las condiciones en la que lo jugué es normal que no logre apreciarse este tipo de aspectos.
La dificultad en este juego es algo serio y de que tener miedo, contaremos con lo típico de una dificultad fácil a una difícil, lo interesante viene a continuación. Dependiendo de la dificultad en la que estemos jugando también lo hará nuestro nivel, en palabras más exactas, mientras más difícil más experiencia recibiremos cuando derrotemos a un enemigo, y el cambio de dificultad sí que se nota en este juego. En las últimas dificultades mis compañeros y yo moríamos mucho, hablo en serio cuando digo que es difícil, hasta un esqueleto pequeño te puedo matar fácil de un golpe. Por eso digo que la poción de vida es el ítem más valioso.
Conclusión
A pesar de mi disgusto por juegos de este estilo, tengo que reconocer que Diablo III logró cambiar mi opinión, es un juego divertido con un mundo que les gustará a muchos de ustedes. Los controles no son complicados están bien distribuidos y hasta cierto punto se vuelve monótono el accionar un botón para hacer una habilidad. Jugarlo con amigos es un completo desastre, pero no en el mal sentido de la palabra, es muy chistoso. Su expansión, Reaper of Souls, añade un nuevo personaje y nivel, por lo que tendrán un poco más de contenido para disfrutar. Se los recomiendo muchísimo y más si pueden jugarlo con alguien.
