I unknowingly took a hiatus from gaming and didn't realize it. March has been chock full of tasks for me and at the end of the day, I would just head to bed instead of staying up playing Video Games. My schedule cleared up this week and after making sure everything was complete I finally sat at my computer with the intent to play.
Power node off on top and powered up on bottom. Made in Paint
I forgot how exciting playing Games was! Here is a quick rundown of what is currently filling my time:
Some of my friends have been getting into Hunt: Showdown in the competitive aspect, so I joined them. I wasn't that great at the game but have been improving and leveled a hunter to 40 before deciding the character suffered enough and retired them.
Retiring gives the profile EXP and removes the hunter from the playlist
My gameplay has gotten better and I feel like I know what I am doing, but my current list of hunter levels begs to differ.
Free hunters are always available but they lack gear
I hope to have some beefier levels when the 'Traitor's Moon' event occurs in Hunt: Showdown.
New World had launched only 6 months ago but I have totally neglected it and now that it has a big update incoming I want to get back into it but the only thing is...
I never got to level 60! I stopped playing around level 53 and need to catch up to fully enjoy the upcoming patch. It has been a blast playing it again, though I still think it is an upgraded version of Runescape and while playing I swear there is music playing from Runescape. Maybe it's all in my head but if the boot fits.
I need to readjust my gear and talents because in the zone I should be level appropriate for and completing with ease, I have instead been getting whopped and barely surviving. This doesn't bode well if I am to get those last few levels.
Stacking DEX seemed like a great idea!
I also heard that Monster Hunter Rise is getting its expansion in June and I realized it was time to dust off my hunter skills... And my Switch!
Don't worry! It's all clean.
I favor the Gunlance and when I last played I was fairly sure the gear my hunter had equipped was sufficient and decided to go hunt an Apex Zinogre to start things off.
I feel like Voltaic is over describing a lightning monster.
I fumbled the controls a bit, taking so many hits that should've been avoided and eventually fainting before getting my act together and defeating the Apex monster.
That'll teach you to attack me while I am accidentally sheathing my weapon!
It seems weird that I forgot how much fun it is to play a good Game and the enjoyment felt after playing. Many of the games I started participating in during this 'rediscovery' phase have already, or on the cusp of, receiving big updates and I'll need to hone my skills again to be a competent player.
Thank you for reading my tale of reawakening. I hope everyone keeps their passions ignited for the hobbies they enjoy and continues to improve in the space!
Happy Gaming!
