These games are called "The Nonary Games", it's a three-series of games that will blow your mind. They were developed by Spike Chunsoft studios, which were responsible for Steins;Gate, and the Dangarompa series.
Let's talk a bit about this concept. These games are more like visual novels meeting escape rooms meeting a plot so thick you can't even imagine what is going on here. I'll only talk to you about the first one since the characters and data of the second and the third connect to it, so talking about them would be spoilers.
Estos juegos se llaman "The Nonary Games" y es una serie de tres títulos que te va a volar la cabeza. Fueron desarrollados por Spike Chunsoft, responsables por Steins;Gate y Dangarompa.
Hablemos un poco del concepto. Estos juegos son una mezcla de novelas visuales, salas de escape y un plot tan complejo que no te podés imaginar qué está pasando. Solo hablaré del primero, porque los otros dos son secuelas directas y sería spoilers.
On the first Nonary Game (9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors), you wake up in a room of what it looks like to be a ship. The water is slowly flooding the area and you need to escape.
After opening the door, we'll meet with a very...heterogeneous group of people: A prince-looking guy, a pink-haired girl, a nervous-looking man, a big guy, an exotic dancer, an edgy guy, and an old guy. Eventually, we'll know that Akane, our childhood crush, is also on this ship.
En el primer Nonary Game (9 Horas, 9 Personas, 9 Puertas) te vas a despertar en lo que parece ser un barco. El agua está de a poco inundando tu cuarto y necesitás escapar.
Luego de abrir la puerta, nos encontraremos con un grupo muy...heterogeneo de gente: un tipo que parece un príncipe, una chica de pelo rosa, un tipo nervioso, un tipo grande, una bailarina exótica, un tipo 'edgy' y un señor mas grande. Eventualmente sabremos que Akane, nuestro amor de la infancia, está también en el barco.
Attached to our wrist, there is a bracelet with a number. A strange voice who calls himself "Zero" will tell us that there are nine doors on this ship, and we'll have to reach the ninth door and open it to escape. But, for opening the doors we'll need at least three people, and the sum of those people's bracelets must be 9 (for example, 3 + 4 + 2 can open the ninth door).
Each of the rooms we'll encounter will be filled with puzzles -just like an escape room- and we'll need to solve them to move on. But of course, there's great danger on this task: we only have 9 hours to get to the ninth door, or else the ship will sink. Also, if we disobey any of the rules or try to remove our bracelets by force, we'll die immediately.
En nuestra muñeca habrá un brazalete con un número. Una extraño que se llama a sí mismo "Zero" nos contará que hay nueve puertas en este barco, y que necesitaremos llegar a la novena puerta para escapar. Pero para abrir las puertas necesitaremos al menos tres personas y la suma de los brazaletes de esas personas, tendrá que ser nueve (Por ejemplo, 3+4+2 puede abrir la novena puerta).
Cada habitación que nos encontraremos estará llena de acertijos -como si fuera una sala de escape- y necesitaremos resolverlos para salir. Pero, por supuesto, hay mucho peligro en esta tarea. Tenemos solo nueve horas para abrir la puerta número 9 o el barco se hundirá. También, si desobedecemos alguna de las reglas o tratamos de quitarnos los brazaletes por la fuerza, moriremos inmediatamente.
This game excels at every point. Puzzles are really fun to solve, characters are not mere anime stereotypes, and the plot is deep. Every character has something to add to the story and a background that will help us understand why they are there, to begin with.
You'll have to play through multiple storylines to complete this game, with lots of routes that lead to dead ends but are necessary to get all the information we need to finally be able to escape safe and sound. The great thing is that you can skip the parts you've already played and be able to continue with the story almost immediately. To play the game with all of its endings, you'll need about 24 or 30 hours, depending on how good you are at puzzle solving.
Este juego es excelente en todos sus aspectos. Los acertijos son divertidos de resolver, los personajes son más que estereotipos de anime y el plot es profundo. Cada personaje tiene algo que aportar a la historia y un trasfondo que nos ayudará a entender por qué están ahí, para empezar.
Tendrás que jugar distintas historias para completar este juego, con muchas rutas que llevarán a finales sin salida pero que son necesarios para tener toda la información que necesitás para finalmente escaparte sano y salvo. Lo mejor es que podés pasa las partes que ya jugaste y continuar con el juego de inmediato. Para jugar con todos los endings vas a necesitar más o menos 24 a 30 horas, dependiendo qué tan bueno seas con los puzzles.
"Virtue's Last Reward", the second entry of this series is a direct sequel of the first one, with some changes, to the Nonary Game Rules that make it fun to play and different from the first one. "The Zero Time Dilemma" is the third game, which is considered the "worst" of the series...I simply don't think it's that bad, but you'll need to judge it on your own.
These games were originally made for Nintendo DS but can now be played on almost every platform. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys puzzles and...quantum physics? Yes.
"Virtue's last reward", el segundo juego de la saga es una continuación directa de la primera, con algunos cambios para que el juego sea distinto y más divertido. "The Zero Time Dilemma" es el tercer juego, que es considerado el "peor" de la saga...No creo que sea tan malo, pero vas a tener que juzgarlo por vos mismo.
Estos juegos fueron hechos originalmente para Nintendo DS pero pueden jugarse en casi cualquier plataforma. Se lo recomiendo a todo aquel que disfrute los puzzles ¿y la física cuántica? Sí.
I played and enjoyed Dangarompa series. But this one has a more adult take, and also a plot that's way more difficult to figure out than Dangarompa's. To me, it's an incredible option if you like these kind of games.

Jugué y disfruté los Dangarompa. Pero este tiene una mirada más adulta, y una historia que es más complicada para adivinar que la de DAngarompa. PAra mi, es una opción increíble si te gustan este tipo de juegos. Te veo la próxima!
