UltraKill is a very well-made independent game with only one premise: to kill everything that moves in our path through this improvised hell where we are a robot with the sole task of annihilating the demons with all kinds of weapons that we find and in the stylistic ways that let's get
It doesn't waste time with silly introductions but the moment we start the game we jump straight into the action and learn the controls that we will have to master if we We want to get to at least the second level, we start with a gun for the first few hours, but as we go through the bosses we face we collect all kinds of weapons that remind me more of the shooters of those golden years
Doom comes to mind a lot when I play Ultrakill And even its pixelated graphics which we have the option to use throughout the game remind me a lot Not only of this Shooter but of others that came later with the same aesthetic, but far from seeming outdated I think it is a very successful creative decision to fully immerse us in what the creator wants, which is to commemorate this line of games
As for gameplay I can say that this title is frenetic like few others, and that I have only played on medium difficulties but still the basic premise is that we reach a room to which we will have to cleanse all the demons that appear and are eager to finish us off
I want to highlight from the start how frenetic this Shooter is, which from the very beginning makes me realize why players feel so good playing it to the point that it is one of the best rated shooters on the steam platform and that it is also one of the most recommended by word of mouth from players
And the game, even though I am in a fairly advanced area, does not cease to surprise with all the weapons that it integrates and all the gags and references to other historical video games, but This is another case where the title not only remains a referential homage to past games but also explores new things, especially in the matter of gameplay, since each new boss we defeat will unlock some new mechanic that we must again learn and use
And this game extends for quite a while longer than one could imagine coming from a game that is independent and that practically does not have too much budget. So it is a pleasant surprise when I realized that it not only had several levels but that in each one of them and it does not go in some way so that the player feels constantly challenged until the last instances
I've been very happy playing this game and trying out the different difficulties it has, although at the moment I don't dare to put it on the highest difficulties because I've seen some Gameplays where a good part of the players die within 5 seconds of entering the stage, so for the moment I'm happy with the medium difficulty at least until I complete it in its entirety because apparently this game is much longer than I imagined
Which is pretty good because most indie games just focus on bringing some gameplay to light without developing too much but I think UltraKill does it very well by implementing all kinds of levels each with a escalation in terms of bosses and enemies that may appear and we can always give it some more flavor by buying the upgrades that They are in the store
So yeah in the middle of all the gifts they've been giving out this Christmas I think this game has been one of the best times I've had on my Christmas break So I recommend it to you and this will probably be my last post of the year So see you in the next one

La humanidad está muerta y el infierno es el centro de atracción, es una premisa que seguramente habríamos visto un millón de veces en los shooters de los años 90 pero que se repite nuevamente y con mucho estilo en este juego que he estado explorando durante las últimas dos semanas y tengo bastante que decir ahora que gracias a las fiestas lo he podido avanzar bastante
UltraKill es un juego independiente muy bien logrado con solo una premisa la de matar todo lo que se mueva en nuestro paso por este infierno improvisado en donde somos un robot con la única tarea de aniquilar a los demonios con todo tipo de armas que nos encontremos y de las formas estilistas que consigamos
No pierde el tiempo con introducciones tontas sino que en el momento en el que iniciamos el juego saltamos directamente a la acción y a conocer los controles que tendremos que masterizar si queremos llegar aunque sea al segundo nivel, empezamos con una pistola durante las primeras horas aunque con el paso de los jefes que enfrentemos vamos recolectando todo tipo de armas que me hacen recordar más a los shooters de aquellos años dorados
Doom se me viene mucho a la cabeza cuando juego Ultrakill Y es que hasta sus gráficos pixelados el cual tenemos la opción de usarlos a lo largo del juego me recuerdan mucho No solo a este Shooter sino a otros que vinieron más adelante con la misma estética, pero lejos de parecer anticuado me parece que es una decisión creativa muy acertada para meternos de lleno en lo que quiere el creador que es conmemorar a esta línea de juegos
En cuanto a la jugabilidad puedo decir que este título es frenético como pocos, Y eso que solo he jugado en las dificultades medias pero aún así la premisa básica es que llegamos a una habitación a la cual Tendremos que hacerle una limpieza de todos los demonios que aparecen y que están deseosos de acabar con nosotros
Destaco de primeras los frenético que es este Shooter que ya en sus primeros momentos me hacen darme cuenta porque los jugadores se sienten tan bien jugándolo al punto de que es uno de los mejores shooters valorados en la plataforma de steam y que también es uno de los más recomendados por el boca a boca de los jugadores
Y el juego aún incluso yo estando en una zona bastante avanzada no deja de sorprender con todas las armas que Integra y todos los gags y referencias a otros videojuegos históricos, pero Este es otro caso en donde el título no solo se queda en un homenaje referencial hacia juegos pasados sino que también explora nuevas cosas sobre todo en el tema de lo jugable ya que cada nuevo jefe que derrotemos desbloqueará alguna nueva mecánica que deberemos nuevamente aprender y utilizar
Y este juego se extiende por bastante rato más de lo que uno pudiese imaginar viniendo de un juego que es independiente y que prácticamente no cuenta con demasiado presupuesto Así que es una grata sorpresa cuando me di cuenta de que no solo tenía varios niveles sino que en cada uno de ellos y no va de alguna manera para que el jugador se sienta constantemente desafiado hasta las últimas instancias
He estado muy contento jugando este juego y probando las distintas dificultades que tiene aunque Por el momento no me atrevo a ponerlo en las dificultades más altas debido a que he visto algunos Gameplays en donde buena parte de los jugadores mueren a los 5 segundos de entrar al escenario por lo que por el momento me conformo con la dificultad media al menos hasta que lo complete en su totalidad porque al parecer este juego es mucho más extenso de lo que imaginé
Lo cual está bastante bien porque la mayoría de los juegos independientes solo se enfocan en traer a la luz alguna jugabilidad sin desarrollar demasiado pero UltraKill creo que lo hace muy bien implementando todo tipo de niveles cada uno con una escalada en cuanto a jefes y enemigos que nos puedan aparecer además que siempre podremos darle algo más de sabor comprando las mejoras que están en la tienda
Así que sí en medio de todos los regalos que han estado dando en estas Navidades Creo que este juego ha sido de los mejores momentos que he tenido en mi descanso por la Navidad Así que se los recomiendo y probablemente este sea mi último post del año Así que nos vemos en el siguiente
