Every now and then I get my hands on one of these Feel Good games that are not necessarily a waste of time, I like games that do not present any challenge to the player as long as there is a good mechanics or story (the two together are better) that leave me hooked all day playing, I asked for several recommendations among my social circle and came to the conversation this game, Dave The Diver, is a small game of those that interest me to play, at first everything seems very simple but as the days go by we notice that there are more good things underneath.
The game features the protagonist Dave, a huge, cuddly man who is enjoying his holiday until he is called by a business friend who explains that there is an opportunity to make lots of greens in a pit that is apparently full of fish from all over the world, so they open a restaurant there and it is Dave who has to dive in every day to get the fresh ingredients for the restaurant, as well as lend support as a waiter.
It's enormously simple at the start, each day we get two chances to dive and catch as many fish as we can before our oxygen tank runs out, in the first few missions we just have to grab some ingredients or harvest some seaweed for the student on duty, but apparently there's a lot more to it all, so far I've only been to the upper part of the sea but I know there's a lot more to it than that.
After each day, at dusk we will have to be in the restaurant to help our cook to manage the customers who arrive, as well as deliver the ingredients we have, here we open the second part of the game and is this tender mini-game where we have to wait tables and be attentive to customers who come to the restaurant, it is not complicated but it requires attention, after that we move to the next day but not before getting a rather strange cinematic.
What I thought was a simple game, apparently it has some tricks up its sleeve, one mechanic that caught my attention is that when we dive we have a knife, I could justify the harpoon because it allows us to catch fish more easily but knife gave me the hint that we will be killing more and more bigger and bigger fish, I think we may even encounter sharks and whales so this has the potential to become a dark story.
Diving into the waters is a very smooth and even relaxing experience, the controls are simple having a couple of tools to perform tasks but I think it highlights the beauty of this 2D world where we can swim freely with bigger and bigger oxygen loads, there are several objectives we have to do each day but rather than a challenge it's just a list of tasks we can perform while swimming.
It's full of good vibes, the characters we meet although they seem to have villain personalities so far have only helped in everything we have to do, even so there are some strange events like an earthquake in the restaurant or a ship being attacked by a huge octopus in one of the cinematics, I'm still experiencing everything but I'm interested in the premise of this game and for the moment I recommend it, if you can get it in a discount much better.

Cada tanto llega a mis manos uno de estos juegos Feel Good que no necesariamente son una perdida de tiempo, me gustan los juegos que no presenten algun reto al jugador siempre y cuando haya una buena mecanica o historia (las dos juntas son mejores) que me deje enganchado todo el dia jugando, pedi varias recomendaciones entre mi circulo social y salio a la conversacion este juego, Dave The Diver, es un juego pequeño de esos que me interesan jugar, al principio todo parece muy sencillo pero con el paso de los dias vamos notando que hay mas buenas cosas debajo.
El juego presenta al protagonista Dave, un hombre enorme y tierno que esta disfrutando de sus vacaciones hasta que lo llama un amigo de negocios que le explica que hay una oportunidad de hacer muchos verdes en una fosa que al parecer esta llena de peces de todas partes del mundo, asi que abren un restaurante ahi y es Dave el que tiene que sumergirse cada dia a sacar los ingredientes frescos para el restaurant, asi como prestar apoyo como mesero.
Es enormemente sencillo al comienzo, cada dia tenemos dos oportunidades de bucear y atrapar todos los peces que podamos antes de que se nos acabe el tanque de oxigeno, en las primeras misiones solo tendremos que agarrar algunos ingredientes o cosechar algunas algas para la estudiante de turno, pero al parecer hay mucho mas detras de todo esto, por ahora solo he estado en la parte alta del mar pero se que hay mucho mas.
Despues de cada dia, al atardecer tendremos que estar en el restaurante para ayudar a nuestro cocinero a gestionar los clientes que llegan, asi como entregarle los ingredientes que tengamos, aqui abrimos la segunda parte del juego y es este tierno minijuego en donde tendremos que atender las mesas y estar atentos de los clientes que llegan al restaurante, no es complicado pero si requiere atencion, des´pues de eso pasamos al siguiente dia no sin antes meternos una cinematica bastante extraña.
Lo que pensaba que era un juego simple, al parecer tiene algunos ases bajo la manga, una mecanica que me llamo la atencion es por que cuando buceamos tenemos un cuchillo, podria justificar el arpon porque nos permite atrapar a los peces mas facilmente pero cuchillo me daba la pista de que vamos a estar matando mas y mas peces cada vez mas grandes, creo que incluso podemos encontrarnos con tiburones y ballenas asi que esto tiene potencial para convertirse en una historia oscura.
Sumergirse en las aguas es una experiencia muy suave y hasta relajante, los controles son sencillos teniendo un par de herramientas para realizar las tareas pero creo que destaca la belleza de este mundo en 2D en el que podemos nadar libremente con cargas de oxigeno mas y mas grandes, hay varios objetivos que tenemos que hacer cada dia pero mas que un reto es solo una lista de tareas que podemos realizar mientras nadamos.
Esta lleno de buenas vibras, los personajes que encontramos aunque parecen tener personalidades de villanos hasta ahora solo han ayudado en todo lo que tenemos hacer, aun asi hay algunos sucesos extraños como un terremoto en el restaurante o un barco siendo atacado por un pulpo enorme en una de las cinematicas, aun estoy experimentando todo pero me interesa la premisa de este juego y por el momento lo recomiendo, si pueden conseguirlo en algun descuento mucho mejor.
