After a long wait and hundreds of hours in the sequel playing everything it has to offer in this early access, a new update of the many that we will surely see in the coming months arrives. Being a game that imposes the philosophy of early access and that anyone who can see and can suggest changes in the gameplay, I think these updates are quite important.
Not only are we going to play the content that has already been curated by the players and everyone who has bought the early access copy, but we are also going to have a ton of new content. in an already massive game
For the last content pack we had an extension of the path of the gods to Olympus as well as new blessings and new areas to explore that I still don't know in their entirety, I don't usually read the update reports to keep the surprise about what I'm going to find in this new version of the game
But what has been impossible for me not to spoil has been the addition of an old acquaintance to the roaster of gods, being our friend Ares the new companion of the princess of the underworld as well as a new blessing pack for each of the gods that were already in the game
Also the addition of a new final boss that apparently will be the final boss of the upper part of the game that is focused on the battle of the gods against the forces of time and where we will have to intervene and basically it is a completely new part of the game both with its enemies and with the final bosses that it has
I'm not just talking about enemies and final bosses but also about the whole host of secondary characters that characterize the Hades games and that are spread throughout all the rooms that we go through and that usually have an important role in the story and most likely each of them will have their own character arc that we will have to complete
I was seeing that the final boss of this part of the game apparently does not have a life bar and I am trying not to spoil the whole battle and wait until I have time to sit down and start recording some Hades 2 games to find out for myself as well as the new blessings that the God Ares has, who in the first game was one of my favorites, plus his blessings allowed me to complete the game for the first time in that first installment
In addition to all this that already seems too much even with the game in early access Hades 2 adds another gameplay mechanic to the mix and that is the whole issue regarding the pets, I'll be honest with you, I've been playing early access for over 6 months now and I haven't been able to access the pets at any point, so I'm really excited to see what they actually do, how can we get them?
Apparently they are a companion that we can discover both halfway through the adventure and at the beginning at our base, and I think they help us with combat as well as discovering new items in each of the rooms we pass through, in addition to that apparently they have had a significant change in terms of the collection tools and is that now we will not need to change them but we will take them all to the adventure and we will be able to collect any resource regardless of what tool we have equipped
So that's good! I've never seen developers listening to players and giving the user what they really want to play, all of that without charging more than $20 for a game of more than 100 hours, I think that several of the bloodsuckers that are in the video game industry today could learn a lot from independent games and how they are handled because I've already seen a few that use the early access tool to improve their games significantly
It also seems that they have implemented some significant changes in terms of weapons and the damage they do, I always believed that in the game the witch's staff was perhaps what did the most damage and what allowed the best combination of powers that could be reached, if we got some blessing from Zeus we had the path more than clear or at least it was going to be much easier for us to advance
Well, that's over, they've put a buff on that weapon and now it seems that both the omega attack and the special movements have less damage, we also have to see how the balance of the game changes with the new blessings of Ares that as many already know will also have combinations with those of other gods
Oh, I almost forgot, it also seems that they have greatly expanded what would be the altar of ashes that allows us to modify the benefits that Melinoe has when starting a game, there is already an almost infinite combination of cards that we can use but new effects are always welcome that will surely give much more variety to an already gigantic gameplay
All this that I mentioned seems as if it were a giant update that they do once a year but this has been the work pace of a development team that I think is among the best in the video game industry today, both in performance of their games and in policies to work with them, I can't help but highlight how they respect their workers and their workers deliver by giving these master hours
And this update is another win for Supergiant Games, their search for the perfect sequel I think is one step closer and although they haven't given any relevant news about the final release of the game I have high hopes that by the end of 2025 we will be able to see at least a glimpse of the date or if I am optimistic the full game to buy and have on my shelf

Después de mucho esperar y de ya cientos de horas en la secuela jugando todo lo que tiene para ofrecer en estas anticipador llega una nueva actualización de las muchas que seguramente vamos a ver en los próximos meses, al ser a dedoso juego que impone la filosofía del acceso anticipado y de quemador pueda ver y pueda sugerir cambios en la jugabilidad creo que estas actualizaciones son bastante importantes
No solo vamos a jugar el contenido que ya ha sido curado por los jugadores y todo aquel que haya comprado la copia de acceso anticipado sino que también vamos a tener una tonelada de contenido nuevo en un juego ya de por sí macizo
Para el pack de contenidos pasado tuvimos una ampliación del camino de los dioses hasta el Olimpo así como también nuevas bendiciones y nuevas áreas por explorar que yo aún no conozco en su totalidad, no suelo leerme los reportes de actualizaciones para mantener la sorpresa sobre lo que me voy a encontrar en esta nueva versión del juego
Pero lo que sí me ha sido imposible no spoilearme ha sido la adición de un viejo conocido al roaster de dioses, siendo nuestro amigo Ares el nuevo acompañante de la princesa del inframundo así como un nuevo pack de bendiciones para cada uno de los dioses que ya estaban en el juego
También la adición de un nuevo jefe final que al parecer será el jefe definitivo de la parte superior de de el juego que está enfocado en la batalla de los dioses contra las fuerzas del tiempo y en donde tendremos que intervenir y básicamente es una parte completamente nueva del juego tanto con sus enemigos como con los jefes finales que tiene
No solo hablo de enemigos y jefes finales sino también de todo el cúmulo de personajes secundarios que caracterizan los juegos de Hades y que están repartidos a lo largo de todas las estancias que vamos pasando y que suelen tener un papel importante en la historia y además lo más probable es que cada uno de ellos tenga su propio arco de personaje que tendremos que completar
Estuve viendo que el jefe final de esta parte del juego al parecer no tiene una barra de vida y estoy tratando de no spoilearme toda la batalla y de esperar a que tenga tiempo para sentarme y ponerme a grabar algunas partidas de Hades 2 para descubrirlo por mí mismo así como las nuevas bendiciones que tiene el Dios Ares que en el primer juego era uno de mis favoritos, además de que sus bendiciones me permitieron completar el juego por primera vez en esa primera entrega
Además de todo esto que ya parece demasiado incluso teniendo el juego en un acceso anticipado Hades 2 nos agrega otra mecánica jugable a la mezcla y es todo el tema con respecto a las mascotas, le voy a ser sincero en este jugado por más de 6 meses el acceso anticipado y no he podido en ningún momento acceder a las mascotas por lo que estoy muy emocionado por ver qué es lo que realmente hacen cómo podemos obtenerlas
Al parecer son un acompañante que podemos descubrir tanto a la mitad de la aventura como al comienzo en nuestra base y creo que nos ayudan con el combate así como descubrir nuevos ítems en cada una de las estancias que pasemos, además de que al parecer han tenido un cambio significativo en cuanto a las herramientas de recolección y es que ahora no necesitaremos cambiarlas sino que llevaremos todas a la aventura y podremos recolectar cualquier recurso independientemente de que herramienta tengamos equipada
Así que eso es bueno! Nunca había visto desarrolladores haciéndole caso a los jugadores y dándole al usuario lo que de verdad quiere jugar, todo eso sin cobrar más de $20 por un juego de más de 100 horas, creo que varios de los chupa sangre que están hoy en la industria del videojuego podrían aprender muchísimo de los juegos independientes y de cómo se manejan porque ya he visto unos cuantos que usan la herramienta del acceso anticipado para mejorar sus juegos de forma significativa
También parece ser que han implementado unos cambios significativos en cuanto a las armas y el daño que hacen, siempre creí que en el juego el bastón de la bruja era quizá lo que hacía más daño y lo que permitía la mejor combinación de poderes a la que se podía llegar, si nos salía alguna bendición de Zeus teníamos el recorrido más que despejado o al menos la íbamos a tener mucho más fácil para avanzar
Pues eso se acabó, le han metido un buff a esa arma y ahora al parecer tanto el ataque omega y los movimientos especiales influyen menos daño, también hay que ver cómo cambia el balance del juego con las nuevas bendiciones de Ares que como muchos ya sabrán también tendrán combinaciones con las de otros dioses
Ah, casi lo olvidaba, también al parecer han ampliado mucho lo que sería el altar de ashes que nos permite modificar los beneficios que tiene Melinoe al empezar una partida, ya de por sí hay una combinación casi infinita de cartas que podemos usar pero siempre es bienvenido nuevos efectos que seguramente darán mucha más variedad a un gameplay ya de por sí gigantesco
Todo esto que les mencioné parece como si fuese una actualización gigante que hacen una vez cada año pero este ha sido el ritmo de trabajo de un equipo de desarrollo que creo que está entre los mejores que tiene la industria del videojuego hoy en día, tanto en rendimiento de sus juegos como en políticas para trabajar con ellos, no puedo dejar de resaltar el cómo respetan a sus trabajadores y sus trabajadores cumplen dando estas horas maestras
Y esta actualización es otro win, para Supergiant Games, su búsqueda por la secuela perfecta creo que está un paso más cerca y aunque no han dado noticias relevantes sobre la salida definitiva del juego tengo muchas esperanzas de que para finales de 2025 podamos ver aunque sea un atisbo de la fecha o si soy optimista el juego completo para comprarlo y tenerlo en mi estantería
