After what seemed like an eternity it seems that Nintendo Switch 2 is real and confirmed, all after weeks of rumors and practically the entire console having already been leaked by developers and distributors but let's put that aside and get to the point that interests us.
What is it without Nintendo needed this new console and if it does well by releasing it, I can already tell you that it is a very simple answer or at least that is what I think, Nintendo may be weird at times and especially when it comes to its games but when it comes to its consoles we could say that they are almost always innovating and releasing something that the player should like
Let's not look at the Wii U or the GameCube for a moment lol
If it ain't broke don't fix it and you could say that it is this philosophy that they have followed to advance a console like the one we saw, you can hardly notice the extra implements and it seems that we are only buying an improved version of the original switch, which does not bother me at all the least
Nintendo has always been characterized by being a company that above all things innovates in its products, by God they have been innovating for 30 years since they had control of the market and then when they lost it to Sony and Micro
Now they tend to measure their movements much more being the smallest of the three big ones in the industry and many times we can wait many years to know what their next moves are in terms of hardware
But the console that is coming has me excited in many ways because we are not only talking about a great leap in terms of the hardware that they are going to use and that developers will be able to have on hand to develop their games but we are also talking about several improvements that may be minimal but for players surely when they grab the controller they will be more than great
Like the improvement of the controls to avoid what is known as drift, which is a very common problem in the joystick levers of the original switch, as well as a much larger screen with a higher resolution and larger controls in general for us who are not children and want to continue playing games nintendo
This console comes at a very interesting time in the market because when Nintendo released the first switch the portable market was not as saturated as we have it today, when we have the steam deck as well as other consoles that took the concept of the switch and put in much more power and also much more compatibility with games such as those of PC
Still, I think Nintendo is Nintendo and no one can argue that what they do even with limited hardware can be very surprising, but let's take a look at the most recent titles that the big n has released like Tears of the Kingdom that exploited the full potential of a console that has less hardware power than a PlayStation 4
So let me get excited about this new console that promises to be a One of the big surprises of 2025 and even though there are no announced or rumored games yet, I think the launch roster for this console will be more than epic, just like the original Nintendo Switch was

Después de lo que parecía una eternidad parece que nintendo switch 2 es real y está confirmado, todo después de semanas de rumores y que prácticamente toda la consola ya haya sido filtrada por los desarrolladores y distribuidores pero pongamos eso a un lado y vayamos al punto que nos interesa.
Qué es sin nintendo necesitaba esta nueva consola y si hace bien sacándola, ya les adelanto que es una respuesta muy sencilla o al menos eso creo, nintendo podrá ser rara en algunas ocasiones y sobre todo cuando se trata de sus juegos pero a la hora de sus consolas podríamos decir que casi siempre están innovando y sacando algo que al jugador le debería gustar
No miremos a wii u o a la GameCube por un momento lol
Si no está roto no lo arregles y se podría decir que es esta filosofía la que han seguido para adelantar una consola como la que vimos, casi no se le notan los implementos extra y parece que solo estamos comprando una versión mejorada de la switch original, cosa que no me molesta en lo más mínimo
Nintendo siempre se ha caracterizado por ser una compañía que por sobre todas las cosas innova en sus productos, por Dios han estado innovando a lo largo de 30 años desde que tuvieron control del mercado y luego cuando lo perdieron a manos de Sony y Micro
Ahora tienden a medir mucho más sus movimientos al ser el menor de los tres grandes que hay en la industria y muchas veces podemos esperar muchos años en saber cuáles son sus próximos movimientos en cuanto a hardware
Pero la consola que viene en camino me tiene emocionado de muchas formas porque no solo estamos hablando de un gran salto en cuanto al hardware que van a usar y que los desarrolladores van a poder tener a la mano para desarrollar sus juegos sino que también estamos hablando de varias mejoras que pueden ser mínimas pero para los jugadores seguramente al momento de agarrar el mando serán más que geniales
Cómo la mejora de los mandos para evitar lo que se conoce como el drift que es un problema muy habitual en las palancas de los joystick de la switch original así como también una pantalla mucho más grande y con una mayor resolución y unos controles más grandes en general para nosotros que no somos unos niños y queremos seguir jugando juegos de nintendo
Esta consola llega en un momento muy interesante del mercado porque cuando el nintendo sacó la primera switch el mercado de los portátiles no estaba tan saturado como lo tenemos hoy, que tenemos a la steam deck así como otras consolas que agarraron el concepto de la switch y metieron mucha más potencia y además mucha más compatibilidad con juegos como por ejemplo los de PC
Aún así creo que nintendo es nintendo y nadie va a poder discutir que lo que hacen incluso con hardware limitado puede ser muy sorprendente, sino démonos una vuelta por los títulos más recientes que ha sacado la gran n como Tears of the Kingdom que explotaba todo el potencial de una consola que tiene en su hardware menos potencia que una PlayStation 4
Así que permitanme emocionarme con esta nueva consola que promete ser una de las grandes sorpresas de 2025 y que aunque aún no haya juegos anunciados o rumoreados creo que el roster de lanzamiento que va a tener esta consola será más que épico al igual que lo fue la nintendo switch original
