Throughout this journey through games that I have played before I have been able to begin to appreciate a little more everything that is the first hours in which the title does not explain how to play and how you should feel when playing it, that is something that gives a new perspective to the entire game
It has happened to me both with Hades and with other games that have been part of this small series at the beginning of the year, I think we will continue with that experience with the sequel to one of my favorite games of all time
It feels good to talk about a sequel to a video game that hasn't screwed up in some way, whether in its gameplay, its story, or its graphics. I think this second installment of Hades does a lot of work. to differentiate itself from the first game without leaving aside the essence and what made this first game one of the best of its time and one of my favorites
You simply build more mechanics around what already works, a simple concept that I wish more high-caliber studios could implement without pushing the wrong buttons most of the time, but well, the example always has to come from an independent studio, where things are always done with half the budget to take a step forward
Hades 2 plays the same as its first installment, I would dare to say that its combat system is almost a carbon copy of what worked back then but adding a whole new sequence of gods of Olympus that can help us as well as a new protagonist who has an ace up her sleeve
And I think this is what differentiates this game from the first one, I'm talking about magic and the subsequent improvements that we can make to this mechanic that basically adds another bar apart from the health bar, this bar called Mana allows us to concentrate our powers and perform enhanced attacks from all our attacks basics
These enhanced attacks are also affected by the blessings that the gods of Olympus give us on this new journey to the Underworld (nice rhyme here where in the first game we have to leave the underworld and in this one we have to go back inside to Hades' house)
But yes, these attacks are a pretty important addition and also add a very entertaining variety to a gameplay that I already knew, it was hard for me to get the hang of it and understand the dimension of the attacks since as I already mentioned here there is a new protagonist and several of her movements have to do with magic and are better used when we use the extra bar that they give us
Although here also appears again the variety that we have at the time of combat since we can change our weapons for others at the beginning of all our routes and here again the Gameplay is quite changed by each weapon we use, some are better to take full advantage of magic, others are better for hand-to-hand combat and some exceptions give a pretty fun twist to the game. gameplay
Another thing is how they have improved the animations and also the characters, the characters are quite important because another thing that I love about the first game is the story, which I did not expect that I did not expect that did so well and since then I have been waiting for the sequel with all my being and I think the story they tell you is quite interesting too so I won't give any spoilers about it
If you like to read and seeing where certain character interactions lead, I think that birds in particular is a very complete game, with interactions everywhere, even with the most secondary characters, and also with various side quests that complement the main story very well.
And in fact the level of breadth that they have made both for the secondary missions and for the main path has been barbaric, and that is even before the game officially debuts but we've already seen several hints that there's more than one main route and we'll have to alternate between several paths with different characters on each one
the premise is identical to that of its predecessor, where we have to go through the entire game with only one life, being careful and mastering the controls to avoid all possible damage from both enemies and bosses that we are not going to find and that for me are some of the most complicated, although it is true that in this second installment they have lowered the difficulty a bit for several of these bosses, especially those we see in the penultimate levels.
But I tell you that the gameplay in this game feels so good that you will not be frustrated after dying several dozen times but on the contrary you will look for the way to improve the attributes of the protagonist and they will advance little by little along the path
I can't wait for it to be ready or for there to be an update to continue playing it because the truth is that it is perhaps the game that I look forward to the most of all and it is undoubtedly the one that is at the top of my list to play in 2025
I don't see it as a superior game to the first installment at the moment because this is only a technical demo and it is not complete or polished but it looks like it is going to be much bigger and it is going to bring a lot of content, the first one already had an overdose of content of more than 100 hours so I can't wait to see what it is What Hades is going to offer now

A lo largo de este recorrido por juegos que he jugado anteriormente he podido empezar a apreciar un poco más todo lo que es las primeras horas en las que el título no va explicando cómo se juega y cómo deberías sentirte al jugarlo, eso es algo que brinda una nueva perspectiva a todo el juego
Me ha pasado tanto con Hades como con otros juegos que han formado parte de esta pequeña serie al principio del año, creo que seguiremos con esa experiencia con la secuela de uno de mis juegos favoritos de todos los tiempos
Se siente bien hablar de una secuela de un videojuego que no la haya cagado de alguna forma ya sea en su jugabilidad en su historia o en sus gráficos, creo que esta segunda entrega de Hades hace mucho para diferenciarse de el primer juego sin dejar de lado la esencia y lo que hizo este primer juego uno de los mejores de su momento y uno de mis favoritos
Sencillamente construyes más mecánicas en torno a lo que ya funciona, un concepto simple que quisiera que más estudios de alto calibre pudieran implementar sin pisar los botones incorrectos la mayoría del tiempo, pero bueno el ejemplo siempre tiene que venir un estudio independiente, en donde las cosas siempre se hacen con la mitad del presupuesto para dar un paso adelante
Hades 2 se juega igual que su primera entrega, me atrevería a decir que su sistema de combate es casi un calco de lo que funcionó por aquel entonces pero agregándole toda una nueva secuencia de dioses del Olimpo que nos pueden ayudar así como también una nueva protagonista que tiene un as bajo la manga
Y esto creo que es lo que diferencia este juego del primero, estoy hablando de la magia y la subsecuentes mejoras que podemos hacerle a esta mecánica que básicamente nos agrega otra barra aparte de la barra de salud, esta barra llamada Maná nos permite concentrar nuestros poderes y realizar ataques potenciados de todos nuestros ataques básicos
Estos ataques potenciados también se ven afectados por las bendiciones que nos dan los dioses del Olimpo este nuevo recorrido hacia el Inframundo (bonita rima acá en donde en el primer juego tenemos que salir del inframundo y en este tenemos que ir nuevamente dentro a la casa de Hades)
Pero si, estos ataques son una adición bastante importante y además que le agrega una variedad muy entretenida a una jugabilidad que ya conocía, me costó de agarrarle el hilo y entender la dimensión de los ataques ya que como ya mencioné aquí hay una nueva protagonista y varios de sus movimientos tienen que ver con magia y son mejor aprovechados cuando usamos la barra extra que nos dan
Aunque también acá hace acto de aparición nuevamente la variedad que tenemos a la hora del combate ya que podremos cambiar nuestras armas por otras al principio de todos nuestros recorridos y aquí nuevamente la jugabilidad se ve bastante cambiada por cada arma que utilicemos, algunas son mejores para aprovechar al máximo la magia, otros son mejores para el combate cuerpo a cuerpo y algunas excepciones dan un giro bastante divertido a la jugabilidad
Otra cosa es como han mejorado las animaciones y también los personajes, los personajes son bastante importantes porque otra cosa que me encanta del primer juego es la historia, cosa que no esperaba que no esperaba que lo hiciesen tan bien y desde entonces he esperado la secuela con todo mi ser y creo que la historia te cuentan es bastante interesante también por lo que no haré spoilers al respecto
Si les gusta leer y ver hacia dónde llevan ciertas interacciones de personajes creo que aves en particular es un juego muy completo, con interacciones por todas partes hasta con los personajes más secundarios y también con varias side quest qué complementan la historia principal muy bien
Y de hecho el nivel de amplitud que han hecho tanto para las misiones secundarias como para el camino principal ha sido bárbaro, y eso que aún no debuta el juego de forma oficial pero ya hemos visto varios indicios de que hay más de una ruta principal y tendremos que estar alternando entre varios caminos con distintos personajes en cada uno de ellos
la premisa es idéntica a la de su predecesor, en donde tenemos que pasar todo el juego con una sola vida teniendo cuidado y masterizando los controles para evitar todo el daño posible tanto de los enemigos como de los jefes que no vamos a encontrar y que para mí son algunos de los más complicados, aunque es verdad que en esta segunda entrega le han bajado un poco la dificultad a varios de estos jefes, sobre todo a los que vemos en los penúltimos niveles
Pero les digo que la jugabilidad en este juego se siente tan bien que no van a estar frustrados después de morir varias decenas de veces sino que al contrario van a buscar la forma de mejorar los atributos de la protagonista y van a avanzar poco a poco por el sendero
Yo no me puedo esperar a que esté listo o que haya alguna actualización para seguir jugandolo porque la verdad que es quizá el juego que más espero de todo y es sin duda el que está en la parte más alta de mi lista para jugar en el 2025
No lo veo como un juego superior a la primera entrega de momento porque esta es solo una demo técnica y no está completa ni pulida pero tiene pinta de que va a ser mucho más grande y va a traer mucho contenido, ya el primero tenía una sobredosis de contenido de más de 100 horas así que no puedo esperar a ver qué es lo que va a ofrecer ahora Hades
