If there's one thing I love to do in my afternoons when I have nothing to do and a couple of snacks in my fridge, it's looking for indie video games to try. That's how I discovered most of the games I have in my library today. I think a good way to do it is simply to go off the beaten path and browse the different categories to see what titles they have.
Tiktok has recently been one of the social networks where I find the most content, and among those videos, the art of this game immediately caught my attention. In some ways, that The art I saw in games like Cult of the Lamb was now in a game that had us control a katana-wielding fox seeking revenge against those who banished him.
I'm going to go ahead and say that Nine Sols is the next game I'm going to install on my PC as soon as I find it on sale or have the money. Enough to buy it. For those who don't understand, just watch the trailer and you'll know. I've really enjoyed Hollow Knight and 2D action games, so I think this is going to be one of my favorite games of this year. The hype has been on another level ever since I discovered it, and I couldn't believe it had already been on the market for a year and I didn't even know it existed.
Although there are Metroidvania elements, the combat here is somewhat different. We have our katana, but the combat system takes into account much more complex measures such as our character's positioning, the stance bar (a new mechanic, by the way), and also timing. What we'll be doing most here is deflecting enemy attacks at the right moment.
And I guess I won't be able to comment on the combat system and controls until I play it, but I can tell you right now that just by watching some YouTube videos of how awesome the fights can be, especially the boss fights, I think I can get an idea of how good this game is, and I found a very valid comparison. Describe it
Lots of spiritual and Taoist vibes. We're reincarnated as a vengeful spirit to wipe out all those who have subjected the valley to darkness. I hope there's also a bit of plot and it's not just an excuse to ease us into the gameplay. I've seen some beats of the story, and the character modeling is great, but I have no idea what all this is about beyond the initial premise.
Whenever I see one of these games, I always have it on my list so I can play it at some point, but this one really caught my attention. I feel like I'm watching a mix of some of the games I've played the most over the years, all under the aura of an action-adventure.

Si hay algo que me encanta hacer en mis tardes cuando no tengo nada que hacer y tengo un par de snacks en mi refrigerador es buscar videojuegos indies que probar, así fue que descubrí la mayoría de los juegos que tengo hoy en mi biblioteca y creo que una buena forma de hacerlo es sencillamente salirse de la ruta y surfear las diferentes categorías para ver qué títulos tienen
Tiktok recientemente ha sido de las redes sociales en las que más contenido encuentro y entre esos videos me llamo la atencion de manera inmediata el arte de este juego, de alguna forma ese arte que veia en juegos como Cult Of The Lamb estaba ahora en un juego que nos hacia manejar a un zorro con katana que estaba buscando venganza contra quienes lo desterraron.
Voy a ir adelante y decir que Ninesols es el proximo juego que voy a instalar en mi pc en cuanto lo encuentre en alguna oferta o tenga el dinero suficiente para comprarlo, para los que no me entiendan solo veanse el trailer y lo sabran, a mi que me ha gustado mucho Hollow Knight y juegos del estilo de accion en dos dimensiones creo que este va a ser uno de mis juegos favoritos de este año, el hype es de otro nivel desde que lo conoci y no me creia que ya tenia un año en el mercado y no sabia que existia
Aunque si hay elementos de Metroidvania el combate aca es algo diferente, tenemos nuestra katana pero el sistema de combate toma en consideracion medidas mucho mas complejas como el posicionamiento de nuestro personaje, la barra de postura (nueva mecanica, por cierto) y tambien el timing, porque lo que mas haremos aca sera desviar los ataques de los enemigos en el momento preciso
Y supongo que no podre comentar sobre el sistema de pelea y los controles hasta que lo juegue pero desde ya les digo que solo con ver algunos videos en youtube de lo geniales que pueden llegar a ser las peleas, en especial las peleas contra los jefes finales, creo que ya me puedo hacer una idea de lo bueno que este este juego, y encontre una comparacion muy valida para describirlo
Muchas vibras espirituales y al taoismo, reencarnamos en un espiritu vengativo para acabar con todos los que han sometido al valle a la oscuridad, espero que haya un poco tambien de trama y no sea una excusa solo para meternos en la jugabilidad mas facilmente, he visto algunos beats de la historia y el modelado de los personajes es genial pero no tengo idea sobre que trata todo esto mas alla de la premisa inicial.
Yo siempre que veo algun juego de estos los tengo en mi lista para que en algun momento pueda llegar a jugarlos pero este si que me ha atraido demasiado, siento que estoy viendo una mezcla de algunos de los juegos que mas he jugado en estos años, todo bajo el halo de luz de una aventura de accion
