Hell On Earth πΊπ₯β€οΈβπ₯π§¨βοΈππΉ
I purchased Doom Eternal for only $20 during a PlayStation Store sale a few months back. Since then, I have been holding the game hostage in my library in anticipation of the free next-gen upgrade for my PS5. I had a feeling that the price of the game would be back up to $60 when the next-gen upgrade finally released. I was correct. As of now, the game is again $60 on the PS Store. My patience and planning have paid off once again.
Everything you need to know about the next-gen upgrade can be found here: https://slayersclub.bethesda.net/en/article/5Xsb8h4iDQobu3ggZwHtQq/upgrading-doom-eternal-to-next-gen.
There were two main reasons why I thought that it was absolutely essential to wait for the next-gen version.
- 120 fps
- DualSense support
These two factors alone are what have made Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War more enjoyable to play on PS5 than any other console. I had faith in iD Software and Bethesda to deliver a leveled-up experience. There are many games releasing next-gen upgrades. One of my favorite games from last year, for instance, Star War Jedi Fallen Order, came out with a PS5 version recently. I am not the type to go back and replay single-player games like that. This means I am missing out on those upgrades since I played the SWJFO prematurely. I have hopes that the Ghost of Tsushima "Ikishima" rumor brings along with it an official PS5 version. ort of how Spider-Man upgraded to Miles Morales at the launch of the PS5.
Enjoy this gameplay which features my first hour of playing the game. It was a great first experience. This was my first Doom game ever, believe it or not.
