This is a must-play for any PS5 owner 🛠

I am making no exaggeration here, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is seriously such an amazing game. It is not the longest game ever, but don't let that sway you. I spent a total of 16 hours with this game and experienced every single thing that it had to offer, all of which was excellent. It is rare that a game pushes me to get that platinum trophy, but I must say that I was determined with Rift Apart.

This game is not very difficult unless you want it to be. You have the option of making it to where you are nearly invincible or you could struggle on the highest difficulty. I decided to go somewhere right in the middle.

The story was fairly engaging, I love the whole multiverse idea that a lot of movies and games are going with these days. It is so interesting to think about and this game does it very justice. It truly is wild to switch to entirely different worlds instantly and never have to wait for the game to load. That and a consistent 4K/60 fps with Ray Tracing make for a beautiful game to gawk at.

The gameplay is really where it is at though. By the time I finished, I had about 20 weapons in my arsenal. You can carry around all of them at once and the weapon wheels work well to easily manage your choice of destruction. Speaking of blowing stuff up, it never gets old collecting all of the gems/bolts/coins that scatter around. Fans of classic Nintendo RPGs will feel right at home. Most people believe that Sony doesn't have anything to compete with Mario and other big names, but Ratchet is up there in quality and fun factor. The nostalgia isn't the same, but trust me when I say this game is damn good.

If you are like me and make good use of your gaming time, you will be able to finish Rift Apart in less than a week easily. If I had paid $70 for this, then sure I might be upset. I however bout it for $50, then took it back to get a full refund as soon as I finished it. Experecingin this game for free like that is without a doubt worth it. Just go pick it up used from Gamestop like I did and finish it quickly. You have no excuse to not play this game unless you don't have a PS5. The only other reason would be other great games taking up all of your time. Besides that, you have got to give Rift Apart a chance.

This is one of my favorite parts of games these days. It allows me to bridge my love of photography with my love of video games.
