Blades of glory 🔪🗡️

Naraka Bladepoint is a melee-focused battle royale game that was released in 2021 on PC. It made its way to Xbox in 2022. It is at last time for the game to also land on PlayStation. Today I will be sharing my gameplay of the PS5 version of this unique game.

I have been intrigued by Naraka for quite a while now, but playing it was the only way to find out for certain if it was the type of game that I would actually enjoy consistently.

I completed the tutorial and my first bot match before recording this video. I had a basic understanding of the game, but it's really deep and the skill ceiling is extremely high. There was still a lot for me to learn.

Luckily, I partied up with a couple of random people who were competent. We started our trio match and somehow managed to make it to the very end. The final moments of this match were insane. It got down to a 1v1 between me and another player. He got me within one hit of being killed, but I somehow clutched the moment and secured victory for me and my teammates. I unlocked several trophies. One for three kills in less than 60 seconds. The other major trophy was earned since I was the kill leader for the match and had more kills than all 60 other players in the lobby. I think I ended with 8 or 9 kills. I of course got a trophy for winning a match too.

I did not expect my first match to go this well, but it made for some awesome gameplay. I actually thought to myself that this game was pretty lame after the tutorial. It just wasn't what I was expecting. However, I must say it is pretty fun. You can climb basically everything in the game and you have a grappling hook. Then there are all sorts of awesome melee weapons and even a few ranged weapons. Add in some magic abilities and that is Naraka Bladepoint in a nutshell.
