A remake of one of my all-time favorite COD maps 🤔

Call of Duty MWII Season 6 is officially underway and looks to be the final season of last year's COD as we prepare for MWIII. Infinity Ward didn't hold back on this one and gave us two really great 6v6 multiplayer maps. One of which I will be showcasing today with some of my gameplay and commentary.

Koro Village is a map that I instantly loved. The rooftops and small alleyways just felt so natural with the COD style of gameplay that I like most. It felt like the old-school COD maps that I knew and loved so well. As I was playing my first matches on Koro Village, I couldn't help but be reminded of one of my favorite maps from Call of Duty 2 (2005) Toujane, Tunisia. You will hear me mention this in the video and it is proof that I was totally unaware of what was actually going on.

You see, Koro Village is indeed a remake of that classic map of Toujane, Tunisia. I didn't find this out until after I played a bunch of matches on it. I was astonished when I saw a report talking about how it was a remake from COD2. My memory must be extremely good because I first played that game 18 years ago! Yet somehow I still had the map layout memorized. It's slightly different than it once was in terms of the places you can and can't go. MWII lets you get on pretty much all of the roofs for instance. Plus it is no longer in Tunisia and has a snowy setting in the mountains instead. Otherwise, it is the same great map from my childhood.

I have always wished that they'd remake more stuff from COD2 because that is my most-played COD of all time I'm pretty sure. It was the one that made me fall in love with these games when I first got a launch Xbox 360. My brother and I both had to share one Xbox, so there were many fights over that specific game.

Playing Koro Village gives me a huge feeling of nostalgia and I just love it so much. I think you will like it too. I got lucky and captured some really good gameplay too, I started this match off with a nasty little streak. Enjoy!
