The game is set in feudal Japan in 1274, a time when samurai warriors served Shoguns to defend their families and territories. The main plot of the game is centered on a real event in history, the Mongol invasion of Japan after having taken China and the Korean peninsula, one of the last bastions being the Island of Tsushima.

Jin nuestro protagonista, es un samurái que hizo frente a los mongoles junto a su Shogun para defender la isla en las costas de Tsushima, lo que podría ser una representación de la batalla de la bahía de Hakata. El juego inicia exactamente en la antesala a un enfrentamiento, y sin darte mayores detalles de cómo luchar, inicia la guerra, sin embargo, la intuición te lleva a dar unos primeros espadazos y avanzar a través de las líneas enemigas para detenerlos.

Al cabo de unos minutos las fuerzas samuráis se ven diezmadas, pero logran tomar la playa, con pocos samuráis en pie, entre esos Jin y su Shogun el sr Shimura. Pese a esto la batalla debe continuar por tomar por completo la playa y repeler al enemigo. Si eres fans de los samuráis como yo, esta lucha es super emocionante, aunque bastante sangrienta y cruda, así que, si eres sensible, menor no juegues este juego.

Para no adentrarme mas en la historia principal del juego, bastame decir que no logran tomar por completa la playa, y el sr Shimura cae en manos de líder mongol llamado Khotum, primo de Kublai nieto de Genghis. Jin queda muy mal herido y tendido en la playa, y debe recuperarse para poder rescatar a su Shagun. Con el tiempo descubres que para poder lograrlo las tácticas honorables no te llevarán a la victoria. Tendremos que quebrantar tradiciones samuráis y desarrollar un nuevo estilo de luchar, la forma del fantasma, para desarrollar una guerra poco convencional por la liberar a Japón.

The combat
If you've seen a samurai movie, you know what to expect, because when two warriors meet, nothing good can happen. Something that is very well recreated in my opinion, is the anticipation of movements when starting a face-to-face combat, that samurai position waiting for the first movement of your enemy, and then landing a single blow that skews the life of your opponent, just wow !!!
Si has visto una película de samuráis, sabes que esperar, porque cuando dos guerreros se encuentran, nada bueno puede suceder. Algo que está muy bien recreado a mi parecer, es la anticipación de movimientos al iniciar un combate cara a cara, esa posición de samurái en espera del primer movimiento de tu enemigo, para luego asestar un único golpe que sesgue la vida de tu oponente, sencillamente wow!!!

Para mí también fue genial poder colocar el juego es español latinoamericano, porque para quienes no lo saben, tiene grandes diferencias con el de España.
