Brawl Stars is a video game that we have already talked a lot about in this blog. Well, it's a pretty entertaining game that can give you hundreds of hours of entertainment, battling various brawlers and taking on people from all over the world in many game modes.
While the premise sounds entertaining (and it is) already for veterans and those who have been playing the game for a while, it is not so much, because there is a problem that the game is currently facing, which is quite important.
In this post (which would be like a spiritual second part of a previous post) I will tell you why players are no longer excited with the updates, the current situation of the game and how to solve this big problem, all told from the point of view of a player, who is already four years into the game. So, without further ado, let's get started!

Brawl Stars, What Happens With Updates?
It all started with the passes, which were a revolutionary idea for the game, but little by little it began to look repetitive, something that is already common in games that have this mechanic implemented, only there is a small difference: in other games the pass is secondary.
Let's look at Fortnite, for example, a game that is not pay to win at all and is still a great example, since the pass is secondary, since a large part of the updates that are released for this game are not only skins and already (and which is one of the game's most defining factors) but they also bring innovative new mechanics, gigantic map changes, cutscenes, expanded lore, and of course weekly content.
You have to remember that Clash Royale, a game from the same company as supercell, brings better updates that hook you to keep playing the game, and not only the way of progression is the pass, since it also brings rotating chests, rewards for uploading of level, the war of clubs and more.
Whereas, in Brawl Stars, the only ways to progress in the game are the club league and the pass (and occasionally a challenge), something that, in my opinion, falls quite short compared to other games of the company.
Another problem is the little content that these updates bring, since they only bring a new pass, a new setting, a new brawler and some skins, the rest is just a new game mode and some update to club league or power league.
But… Is there anything new in these updates other than just this? Sure! Only that they are only cosmetics, a problem that brawl stars also faces, and that is that little by little it is becoming a game of "let's see who has more skins, sprays and emotes" something that falls into the repetitive and is here to tire
The Summer Update "The Big Update"
Every year, there are updates that are characterized by being at a specific time of the year in question, which become the best, these being the summer and Christmas updates, since they are the ones that bring the most content.
Let's see an example, in the summer 2021 update came 4 new temporary game modes (which would be released every week), 7 season skins and 3 normal skins, new brawler and its respective season and setting, another brawler (free if you did the challenge), 2 free skins, 13 soccer skins, new gold and silver skins, 2 challenges, 3 vocalized game songs, 10 new gadgets and modifiers for the map creator.
A lot of content, right? Enough for two months (and that I omitted some stuff, you can check it by watching the brawl talk), now let's see the summer 2022 update.
New pass with its setting and brawler, 3 season skins and 2 normal skins, 7 BT21 skins, new temporary game mode, mystery mode, club missions, star league upgrade, penny remodel, new challenges and 2 new clash of clans themed pins and hay day.
As you can see, it is a lot of difference, and it is even more so if I put all the new features of the 2021 update, because I didn't put all of them, just most of them. It is sad that one of the most important updates of the year has to go through this, because already with what we saw in the last update, we can not expect more from the following ones to come.
And it would be nice if the above were monthly, but not even that. It is only what I said before, only for two months. The worst thing is that I'm not the only one who thinks the same, because great influencers of the game and even the game's own lead developer know this (the latter making jokes about the decline of the game, something unfortunate).
Even to say it in jest and sarcasm, because it's quite a bit out of the loop, because it's literally what they always do, skins, environment and brawler. When they should be doing more to make more content for the game.
Little by little the game is becoming a game of cosmetics, which is only intended for those who are new to the game... But there is a solution?.
Conclusion - How to Solve This Problem?
There is something very powerful to keep in mind, the community. And it is thanks to the community that we were able to achieve what we saw earlier in the 2021 update, the game modes. Thanks to the community is that the games are still standing (something we saw previously in a post). The community fills supercell's "mailbox" with suggestions and they check it from time to time (say... Every year?).
Supercell is a company that is known for listening to its players, something that Brawl Stars knows very well and takes advantage of this excellently (when it wants to, of course), there are several examples, such as the supercell maker, where you can make your skins in the hope that they will make it to the game in the future.
But this has more potential! Why not have contests for brawler ideas? Why not have contests for game modes, settings, general ideas or improvements proposed by the community? The brawl stars team has the tools to be the best, they just don't know how to use them.......

Brawl Stars es un videojuego del cual ya hemos hablado mucho en este blog. Pues es un juego bastante entretenido que te puede dar cientos de horas de entretenimiento, luchando con varios brawlers y enfrentando a personas de todo el mundo en muchos modos de juego.
Si bien la premisa suena entretenida (y lo es) ya para los veteranos y los que ya llevan un tiempo en el juego, no lo es tanto, pues hay un problema que enfrenta el juego actualmente, el cual es bastante importante.
En este post (que sería como una segunda parte espiritual de un post anterior) te contaré el porqué ya los jugadores no se emocionan con las actualizaciones, la situación actual del juego y cómo solucionar este problema tan grande, todo dicho desde un punto de vista de un jugador, el cual ya va para cuatro años dentro del juego. Así que, sin más que decir, ¡empecemos!

ACLARATORIA: recuerden que este post es una OPINIÓN, en ningún momento digo que no lo jueguen (de hecho, recomiendo que lo jueguen), solo digo lo que pienso como jugador, sin nada más que decir, ¡empezamos!
Brawl Stars, ¿Qué Sucede Con Las Actualizaciones?
Todo empezó con los pases, los cuales eran una idea revolucionaria para el juego, pero que poco a poco se empezó a ver repetitivo, algo que ya es común dentro de los juegos que traen implementada esta mecánica, solo que hay una pequeña diferencia: en otros juegos el pase es secundario.
Veamos por ejemplo a Fortnite, un juego que para nada es pay to win y aún es un gran ejemplo, puesto que el pase es secundario, ya que gran parte de las actualizaciones que sacan para este juego no solo son skins y ya (y eso que es uno de los factores que más caracteriza el juego) sino que también traen nuevas mecánicas innovadoras, cambios de mapa gigantescos, cinemáticas, lore expandido, y por supuesto contenido semanal.
Hay que recordar que Clash Royale, un juego de la misma empresa de supercell, trae mejores actualizaciones que enganchan para que sigas jugando el juego, y no solo la forma de progresión es el pase, ya que también trae cofres en rotación, recompensas por subir de nivel, la guerra de clubs y más.
Mientras que, en Brawl Stars, las únicas formas para progresar en el juego son la liga de clubes y el pase (y de vez en cuando un desafío), algo que, a mi parecer, se queda bastante corto comparado con otros juegos de la compañía.
Otro problema es el poco contenido que traen estas actualizaciones, ya que tan solo traen un nuevo pase, nueva ambientación, nuevo brawler y unas skins, de resto tan solo es un nuevo modo de juego y alguna actualización a liga de clubes o liga estelar.
Pero… ¿Hay algo novedoso en estas actualizaciones que no sea solo esto? ¡Claro! Solo que tan solo son cosméticos, un problema que también enfrenta brawl stars, y es que poco a poco se está volviendo un juego de “a ver quien tiene más skins, sprays y emotes” cosa que cae en lo repetitivo y ya llega a cansar.
La Actualización de Verano “La Gran Actualización”
Cada año, hay actualizaciones que se caracterizan por estar en una época específica del año en cuestión, las cuales llegan a ser las mejores, siendo estas las de verano y las de navidad, puesto que son las que traen más contenido.
Veamos un ejemplo, en la actualización de verano de 2021 llegaron 4 modos de juego temporales nuevos (los cuales se lanzarían cada semana), 7 skins de temporada y 3 skins normales, nuevo brawler y su respectiva temporada y ambientación, otro brawler (gratuito si hacías el desafío), 2 skins gratuitas, 13 skins de fútbol, nuevas skins de oro y plata, 2 desafíos, 3 canciones vocalizadas del juego, 10 nuevos gadgets y modificadores para el creador de mapas.
Mucho contenido, ¿verdad? Suficiente para dos meses (y eso que omití algunas cosas, puedes comprobarlo viendo la brawl talk), ahora veamos la actualización de verano de 2022.
Nuevo pase con su ambientación y brawler, 3 skins de temporada y 2 skins normales, 7 skins de BT21, nuevo modo de juego temporal, modo misterio, misiones de club, mejora de liga estelar, penny remodel, desafíos nuevos y 2 nuevos pins tematizados de clash of clans y hay day.
Como pueden ver, es mucha la diferencia, y lo es aún más si pusiera todas las novedades de la actualización de 2021, pues no puse todas, solo la mayoría. Es triste que una de las actualizaciones más importantes del año tenga que pasar por esto, pues ya con lo que vimos en la última actualización, no podemos esperar más de las siguientes que vienen.
Y es que estaría bien si lo de arriba fuera mensual, Pero ni eso. Tan solo es lo que dije anteriormente, solo durante dos meses. Lo peor es que no soy el único que piensa igual, pues grandes influencers del juego e incluso el propio desarrollador líder del juego saben esto (este último haciendo bromas sobre la decadencia del juego, algo lamentable)
Incluso para decirlo en broma y en sarcasmo, pues saca de onda bastante, porque literal es lo que siempre hacen, skins, ambiente y brawler. Cuando deberían de empeñarse más en hacer más contenido para el juego.
Poco a poco el juego se está volviendo un juego de cosméticos, el cual solo está pensado para los que recién llegan al juego… ¿Pero hay solución?
Conclusión - ¿Cómo Solucionar Este Problema?
Hay algo muy poderoso que hay que tener en cuenta, la comunidad. Y es que gracias a la comunidad se pudo lograr lo que vimos anteriormente en la actualización de 2021, los modos de juego. Gracias a la comunidad es que los juegos siguen en pie (algo que ya vimos anteriormente en un post). La comunidad llena de sugerencias "el buzón" de supercell y ellos de vez en cuando la revisan (digamos… ¿Cada año?)
Supercell es una empresa que se caracteriza por escuchar a sus jugadores, algo que Brawl Stars sabe muy bien y aprovecha esto excelentemente (cuando quiere, claro está), hay varios ejemplos, como el supercell maker, en donde puedes hacer tus skins con esperanza de que lleguen al juego en un futuro.
¡Pero esto tiene más potencial! ¿Por qué no hacer concursos de ideas de brawlers? ¿Por qué no hacer concursos de modos de juego, ambientaciones, ideas generales o mejoras propuestas por la comunidad? El equipo de brawl stars tiene las herramientas para poder ser el mejor, solo no las sabe utilizar…
