Hi there. In this Pokemon TCG post, we take a look at more Mega Evolution card reveals.
These cards release in Japan on August 1 and internationally on September 26, 2025.
Acerola's Mischief
This Supporter card is one of those niche conditional Supporters. Acerola's Mischief can only be played if your opponent has 2 or fewer Prize cards remaining (close to winning).
Select 1 of your Pokemon in play. During your opponent's next turn, prevent all damage from and effects of attacks done to that selected Pokemon by attacks from your opponent's Pokemon ex. In other words, your Pokemon is protected by Pokemon ex attacks during your opponent's next turn.
The defensive effects from this card is good. In theory you can save yourself one turn from losing.
There are issues with this card. In the early game, this card is a dead card. Another loophole is that the opponent can use a non Pokemon ex attacker to get an attack in.
Mega Absol ex

Mega Absol ex is a bulky Basic Mega Pokemon ex with 280 HP, 2 retreat cost and Grass weakness.
Note that your opponent gains 3 Prize Cards out of 6 if they knock out a Mega Pokemon ex. Be careful when using this.
The Cruel Claw second attack requires 2 Dark Energy and one Colourless Energy to deal 200 damage. You also see the opponent's hand and discard 1 card you find there.
Doom Period is the first attack. It requires one Dark Energy and one Colourless Energy. If the opponent's Active Pokemon has exactly 6 damage counters on it, that Pokemon is Knocked Out. This is a conditional one hit knockout attack.
There are other one hit knockout attacks available. There is Kingambit, Glaceon ex and Roaring Moon ex. Roaring Moon ex is a good rogue archetype while Glaceon ex and Kingambit see almost no competitive play.

I think this Mega Absol ex is kind of usable with Munkidori. Use Dark Energy for the Absol attacks and Dark Energy for transferring damage counters with Munkidori. Maybe use Froslass + Munkidori + Mega Absol ex deck??

Grass weakness does make Mega Absol ex very vulnerable. Watch out for Teal Mask Ogerpon ex.

Mega Mawile ex

Here is Mega Mawile ex. This 3 Prizer Pokemon is a Basic Pokemon with 270HP, 2 retreat cost and Fire weakness.
The first attack requires 2 Metal Energy to deal 80 damage for each Prize card you have taken. If you are close to winning then this attack does even more damage.
Mega Mawile ex's second attack is Big Bite. This attack requires 2 Metal Energy and one Colourless Energy. If the opponent's Active Pokemon has full HP, this attack does 260 damage. If there are any damage counters on the opponent's Active Pokemon then this attack does 30 damage instead. I don't know if this attack is good. In theory, you knock out something like Gholdengo ex but what other things can this knock out?

To me, Mega Mawile ex seems risky to use. Fire Pokemon like Ethan's Ho-Oh ex, Ethan's Typhlosion and Ceruledge ex are not top meta decks but they do show up every once in a while. Giving up 3 Prizes easily to fire decks is too risky.
