Hi. In this Pokemon TCG Pocket I cover more cards from the Extradimensional Crisis set in the mobile game. The new set has been released on May 29, 2025.
This website has the full revealed cards.
I feature some key cards plus the shiny cards from this set.
Buzzwole ex

Buzzwole ex is a big Basic Pokemon ex attacker. The Punch attack is kind of weak at 2 Colourless Energy for 30 damage.
The Big Beat attack requires 2 Grass Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal 120 damage. You cannot use Big Beat again during your next turn.
Kartana & Pheromosa
![]() | ![]() |
Kartana and Pheromosa are good early game Grass attackers in a Grass deck.
Kartana is like the grass version of Farfetch'd. For one Grass Energy the Thrash Metal attack deals 40 damage.
Pheromosa has 10 more HP than Kartana. The Jump Blues attack requires one Grass Energy to deal 20 damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon and 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.
Add a Leaf Cape to boost 30 HP.

Tapu Koko ex

Tapu Koko ex is a good Basic Lightning attacker. The Plasma Hurricane for 1 Lightning Energy deals 20 damage and accelerates 1 Lightning energy to itself. With this you can set up for the Mach Bolt attack for the next turn.
Mach Bolt requires 2 Lightning Energy and one Colourless Energy to deal 90 damage.
This beatstick attacker does not deal big damage past 100 damage but it looks good as an early game attacker.
Zeraora

Zeraora's attack is okay for a 90HP Basic Lightning Pokemon. For 2 Lightning energy you deal 50 damage with its Lightning Claw attack.
If you get lucky on the first turn, the Thunderclap Flash lets you attach 1 Lightning Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to this Zeraora. This ability only works at the end of your first turn. This ability is good for going first especially when you go first on the first turn. Note that you cannot attach energy going first on your first turn.
Lycanroc ex

Lycanroc ex is the Stage 1 evolved form of Rockruff. This has 150 HP, 2 retreat cost and Grass weakness.
It only has one attack and no ability. The Lycanfang requires 2 Fighting energy and one Colourless energy to deal 130 damage. The drawback is discarding one Fighting Energy from Lycanroc ex.
You can combo this with this Lucario for more damage.

Nihilego, Poipole & Naganadel
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Nihilego provides a boost to Poison themed decks. The More Poison ability adds 10 more Poison damage to the opponent's Active Poisoned Pokemon. Instead of 10 Poison damage in between turns, it is 20 damage. Adding a second Nilhego makes it 30 Poison damage between turns.
Poipole is a 60 HP Basic Dark Pokemon with one retreat cost and Fighting weakness. The 2-Step attack requires 1 Dark Energy for 20 damage times the number of Heads from 2 coin flips.
Naganadel is the Stage 1 evolution of Poipole. This has 100 HP, two retreat cost and Fighting weakness. The Electro House attack requires 1 Dark Energy to deal 40 damage plus Poison. Combine this with Nililego for additional Poison damage.
Alolan Dugtrio ex

Here is Alolan Dugrtio ex. Nice hair I guess.
It is the Stage 1 evolution of Alolan Diglett. This has 130 HP, Metal typing, 1 retreat cost and Fire weakness.
For one Metal energy and one Colourless Energy, the Triplet Headbutt deals 60 times the number of Heads from 3 flips. When it comes to coin flipping, it is a probability scenario. I developed a table with probabilities, number of heads and damage.
Damage Output | #Heads | Probability |
---|---|---|
0 | 0 | 1/8 = 12.5% |
60 | 1 | 3/8 = 37.5% |
120 | 2 | 3/8 = 37.5% |
180 | 3 | 1/8 = 12.5% |
A 50 % chance of dealing 120 damage or more from a 2 Energy cost attack is not too bad. The HP on this is kind of weak. Watch out for Fire Pokemon and one hit knockout attackers.
Type:Null + Silvally
![]() | ![]() |
Type:Null is a 80 HP Basic Colourless attacker. The Quick Blow attack requires 1 Colourless Energy to deal 20 base damage plus 20 more damage if you flip Heads.
Silvally is the Stage 1 evolution from Type:Null. This has 110 HP, 1 retreat cost, Colourless typing and Fighting weakness. The Brave Buddies attack requires 2 Colourless Energy to deal 50 base damage. If you played a Supporter card from your hand during this turn then this Brave Buddies attack deals 100 damage.
Beast Wall

Beast Wall looks like a powerful Item card for Ultra Beasts in the early game. This card can only be used if the opponent has no points. Otherwise this is a useless card.
During your opponent's next turn, all of your Ultra Beast Pokemon take 20 less damage from attacks from the opponent's Pokemon. This is good for protecting your Ultra Beast Pokemon while you setup evolution Ultra Beast Pokemon and Energy.
I can maybe 1 copy of this being used in Ultra Beast decks. Two would be too much I think.
Repel

Repel is an Item card that is very similar to the Sabrina supporter card. With Repel you switch out your opponent's Active Basic Pokemon to the Bench. The opponent chooses a new Active Pokemon.
Sabrina switches out any Pokemon from the Active Pokemon. Repel applies to only Basic Pokemon. Very important.

Electrical Cord

Electrical Cord is a Tool card for Lightning Pokemon. When the Lightning Pokemon in the Active Spot with this Tool card is knocked out by damage from an attack then you can transfer 2 Lightning Energy from that Pokemon. The 2 Lightning Energy would be split between 2 of your Benched Pokemon (does not have to be Lightning Benched Pokemon).
This is a powerful Tool card for recycling Lightning energy. This is very similar to Exp Share from the physical Pokemon TCG.
Beastite

Beastite is an attacking boosting Tool card for Ultra Beast Pokemon. This Tool card boosts 10 damage for each point you have earned.
This Tool boosts 0 damage if you did not knockout any of your opponent's Pokemon. It works better when you are winning or later in the game.
Gladion

Gladion is a Pokemon search Supporter that is compatible with Type: Null or Silvally. Put 1 random Type: Null or Silvally from your deck into your hand.
Looker

Looker is an intersting Supporter card. The card effect is simple. Once it is played you get to look at all the Supporter Cards in your opponent's deck. This Looker card is best played in the early game to gain a lot of information.
There are problems with this card. You don't know your opponent's hand. Supporter cards could be in the opponent's hand. Deck space is tight with a 20 card deck. Is putting this in your deck that useful over something like Cyrus, Sabrina, Guzma?

Lusamine

Lusamine is a Supporter Card that is comptaible with Ultra Beast Pokemon. You can only use Lusamine if your opponent has at least 1 point (at least 1 knockout). Select 1 of your Ultra Beasts in play. Then attach 2 random Energy from your discard pile and attach those Energy to that selected Pokemon.
There are a few Ultra Beast Pokemon with high energy requirements for its attack. Lusamine in the later part of the game makes it easier to power up expensive attacks.
Art Cards
The art cards in this set feature Alolan Pokemon, characters and Ultra Beast Pokemon.

The Alolan Meowth illustration rare is kind of cute. Rowlet (top left) is not too bad either.

These above 3 look nice. Guzzlord ex looks pretty scary.
Shiny Cards
The Shiny cards from the Extradimensional Crisis feature Pokemon from previous sets. Why previous sets? I don't know.

Only Nilhilego gets a Gold Card.

Possible Deck Ideas & Closing Notes
Electrical Cord does provide a good boost to Electric themed decks. Recycle energy after suffering from a Knockout from damage.
Ultra Beast decks emerge as a new archetype. Beast Wall and Beastite provide good defense and offensive tool options. Lusamine provides energy acceleration for Ultra Beasts after the early game.
Poison themed decks get a boost with Poipole, Naganadel and Nihilego as support.
Grass decks get a boost with the additions of Pheromosa, Kartana and Buzzwole ex. Add the recent Grass Cape for a HP boost.
With this new set there are even more deck options to choose from. The complexity in this game gets higher and higher with new cards.
