Hello everyone, today I come to talk about one of the games that from my experience is a good Soul style game. What do I mean by Soul? Well, it is a game based on the same dynamics and aesthetics as the famous game Dark Soul and one of the precursors of the same genre of games.

Hola a todos, hoy vengo a hablar de unos de los juegos que desde mi experiencia es un buen juego al estilo soul. ¿Qué a que me refiero con soul? Bueno, pues que es un juego basado en las mismas dinámicas y estética que el famoso juego dark soul y uno de los precursores del mismo género de juegos.
First off, I'm not a fan of this type of game and therefore the first time playing Mortal Shell for me was a bit cumbersome, but it's definitely a game worth playing and trying even if you're not a fan. Only if you are looking for a challenge to test your skills and test yourself against big challenges.

De primera mano, yo no soy fanático de este tipo de juegos y por ende la primera vez jugando Mortal Shell para mí fue algo engorroso. Pero definitivamente es un juego que vale la pena jugar y probar, aunque no seas fan. Solo si buscas un reto para probar tus habilidades y ponerte a prueba ante grandes desafíos.

I' start with my first impression of the game. The game is on the Epic Games Store platform with a cost of 17. 50 and the trailer ended up hooking me. Once inside the game a friend and I played it, it turned out that the first few hours we ended up hating it because of the difficulty that we did not stop losing every 5 seconds to every enemy we encountered or every trap we ran into. But little by little you start to get used to the fights and exploration so it cost us, but we were able to adapt and enjoy the game.

Empezaré con mi primera impresión del juego. El juego está en la plataforma de Epic Games Store con un costo de 17. 50 y el tráiler me termino enganchando Ya una vez dentro del juego lo jugamos un amigo y yo, resulto que las primeras horas lo terminamos odiando por la dificultad que no parábamos de perder cada 5 segundos ante cada enemigo que nos encontrábamos o cada trampa que nos topamos. Pero poco a poco uno empieza a acostumbrarse a las peleas y la exploración, por lo que nos costó, pero pudimos adaptarnos y disfrutar del juego.
The atmosphere is gloomy and somber, in the best medieval style goes very well, hand in hand with the aura of melancholy that this transmits makes the experience more immersive. The fights are always entertaining because it is mostly the player's choice whether to fight or not, except for the bosses. But every fight is entertaining and the enemies drop what in the game they call tar (which would be money) and sometimes they can drop vestiges (it is a type of points for the improvements of each character).

La ambientación es lúgubre y sombría, al mejor estilo medieval va muy bien de la mano con el aura de melancolía que esta trasmite, hace la experiencia más inmersiva. Las luchas siempre resultan entretenidas porque en su mayoría es elección propia del jugador luchar o no, exceptuando a los jefes. Pero cada pelea es entretenida y los enemigos te sueltan lo que en el juego llaman tar (lo que vendría siendo el dinero) y a veces pueden soltar vestigios (es un tipo de puntos para las mejoras de cada personaje).

The dynamics of fights are about using the ability Harden to avoid enemy attack. This skill has a recharge time when used. The other skill is to do the counter attack when the time is right and at the same time you steal life. You improve the combat experience with each fight, so with bosses it becomes a life or death option. The yellow bars above the life, which the game calls determination bars, are the key to this ability.

Las dinámicas de peleas se tratan de usar la habilidad Endurecer para evitar el ataque enemigo. Esta habilidad al usarse tiene un tiempo de recarga. La otra habilidad es hacer él contra ataque cuando sea el momento idóneo y a la vez robas vida. Mejoras la experiencia del combate con cada lucha, por lo cual con los jefes lo vuelve una opción de vida o muerte. Las barras amarillas arriba de la vida, la cual el juego llama barras de determinación son la clave de esta habilidad.

As far as weapons, stats, skills, characters and moves are concerned, they are scarce, since you will only be able to choose from 4 characters. Since our main character is a disembodied entity (i.e. he has no body as such), he only has empty bodies without souls, so the only ability we have is to harden with the Ctrl key and it is quite beneficial for the player, since it is almost infallible that in this state we will get some damage. The bodies are not given to you, but you get them by walking around the map and finding them. Each one has different abilities and different characteristics.

En lo que cabe a decir de las armas, estadísticas, habilidades, personajes y movimientos son escasas, ya que solo te darán a elegir de 4 personajes. Ya que nuestro personaje principal es un ente incorpóreo (ósea no tiene cuerpo como tal) solo se limita a poseer cuerpos vacíos sin almas, por lo que la única habilidad que poseemos es la de endurecerse con la tecla Ctrl y resulta algo bastante beneficioso para el jugador, ya que casi infalible que en ese estado nos hagan algún daño. Los cuerpos no te los dan, pero sí los obtienes al recorrer el mapa y encontrarlos. Cada uno tiene habilidades distintas y características diferentes.

Weapons are the same case, there are only 4 types scattered in each area of the map and at the first save point on the map they show you the locations but in the form of visions, which I find somewhat creative because they basically encourage you to explore because basically there is no map, it all depends on you learning the paths.

Las armas son el mismo caso, solo hay 4 tipos repartidas en cada área del mapa y al primer punto de guardado del mapa te muestran los lugares, pero en forma de visiones, lo que me parece algo creativo porque básicamente te incitan a la exploración porque básicamente no hay mapa, todo depende de que te aprendas los caminos.
The game challenges you to survive as long as you can, since every time you die you lose all the Tar (money). But it gives you only one chance to get it back and this is lost when you die again without collecting it.

El juego te reta a sobrevivir lo más que puedas, ya que cada que mueres todo el Tar (el dinero) lo pierdes. Pero te da una única oportunidad de volver a recuperarlo y este se pierde cuando vuelves a morir sin recogerlo.

The game I had a great time playing it, it's entertaining, the difficulty lies in how good you are at navigating the map and your combat skills. Because even if your character is improved, some enemies will still make you sweat, especially groups of soldiers and bosses.

El juego yo me lo pasé muy bien jugándolo, es entretenido, la dificulta está en que tan bueno eres desenvolviéndote en el mapa y en tu habilidad con los combates. Porque aunque tu personaje aunque esté mejorado, algunos enemigos todavía te harán sudar, en especial los grupos de soldados y los jefes.

The game is very good, if you have the opportunity to play it I highly recommend it. At least I could pass it in just a week and a half. It is not that it is a very long game, but it is entertaining.

El juego es muy bueno, si tienen la oportunidad de jugarlo se los recomiendo mucho. Mínimo me lo pude pasar en tan solo una semana y media. No es que sea un juego muy largo, pero sí es entretenido.
