Among Trees, is a survival game in first person, transports us to a quiet place in the depths of the forest, this is in an early stage of development, so it contains some shortcomings for obvious reasons and especially with elements to add to the gameplay. It is a SandBox type game which takes us through a semi-open scenario, in order to find objects that help us survive in a beautiful forest, sublime but containing great threats. It appears to us subtle, majestic and calm. Among Trees, presents us with pleasant surprises such as its level of progression, its artistic section and the level of Crafting that we should use. This is a game that will give a lot of talk in the coming months.
Among Trees, es un juego de supervivencia en primera persona, nos transporta un lugar tranquilo en las profundidades del bosque, este se encuentra en una etapa temprana de desarrollo, por lo cual contiene algunas carencias por razones obvias y sobre todo con elementos por agregar a la jugabilidad. Es un juego del tipo SandBox el cual nos lleva a recorrer un escenario semi abierto, con el fin de encontrar objetos que nos ayuden a sobrevivir en un bosque bonito, sublime pero que contiene grandes amenazas. Se nos presenta sutil, majestuoso y tranquilo. Among Trees, nos presenta gratas sorpresas como su nivel de progresión, su apartado artÃstico y el nivel de Crafting que debemos emplear. Este es un juego que dará mucho que hablar en los próximos meses.
STORY
Among Trees, starts without context or any background story, perhaps because it is in a stage of early access is developing the script or background of the story, for the moment to start the game our character wakes up upset in the forest. After inspecting the scenarios we can notice that there is a nearby cabin which tells us that we can improve if we get wood. Our main objective is to check our surroundings and manage to survive. The game focuses on survival mode rather than the events that led us to the forest in question.
HISTORIA
Among Trees, inicia sin contexto o alguna historia de fondo, quizás por estar en una etapa de acceso temprano se está desarrollando el guion o trasfondo de la historia, por el momento al iniciar el juego nuestro personaje despierta contrariado en el bosque. Luego de inspeccionar los escenarios podemos notar que se encuentra una cabaña cercana la cual nos indica que podemos ir mejorando si obtenemos madera. Nuestro objetivo principal revisar nuestro alrededor y lograr sobrevivir. El juego se centra en el modo supervivencia más que en los acontecimientos que nos llevaron al bosque en cuestión.
GAMEPLAY
Among Trees, is a survival game, which focuses its gameplay on exploration and Crafting. Our main goal is to survive the hostile environment that we are presented, for this purpose we must go through the scenarios to find objects and materials, which we can use and combine to obtain new tools and skills. We can go through the scenario in any direction and on screen we are always oriented to where our hut is, an interesting point is that the further you go the less chance you have of returning so you should appeal to check inventory and keep our character in good health. Items that can be unlocked in our progression include a greenhouse for planting, a Crafting room for making tools and crafts, and a kitchen where we can cook. Here we don't have any enemies, so we won't have any kind of weapon, we can't attack the animals; however, it's important to point out that the bears that appear can kill us so the best thing is to avoid them. The game presents several meters such as health, hunger and sleep so it is important to always keep them at 100% so that our character does not suffer a certain death.
JUGABILIDAD
Among Trees, es un juego de supervivencia, el cual centra su modo de juego en la exploración y el Crafting. Nuestro objetivo principal es lograr sobrevivir al ambiente hostil que se nos presenta, para tal fin debemos recorrer los escenarios para ir encontrando objetos y materiales, los cuales podemos usar y combinar para obtener nuevas herramientas y habilidades. Podemos recorrer el escenario en cualquier dirección y en pantalla siempre se nos orienta hacia donde se encuentra nuestra cabaña, un punto interesante es que mientras más te alejes menos posibilidades tienes de regresar por lo cual debes apelar a revisar inventario y mantener en buena salud a nuestro personaje. Los elementos que podemos desbloquear en nuestra progresión incluye un invernadero para sembrar, una sala de Crafting para elaborar herramientas y manualidades y una cocina donde podemos cocinar. Aquà no se nos presentan enemigos, por lo cual no tendremos ningún tipo de arma, no podemos atacar los animales; sin embargo, es importante resaltar que los osos que se presentan pueden matarnos por lo cual lo mejor es evadirlo. El juego presenta medidores varios medidores como salud, hambre y sueño por lo cual es importante siempre mantenerlos al 100% para que nuestro personaje no sufra una muerte segura.
GRAPHIC SECTION
Among Trees, presents us with a superb artistic section, a color palette mixed with pastel tones, which manage to recreate some majestic sunsets and sunrises, at a certain point it reminded me of FireWatch. The game, despite its early development, shows all its arsenal, the forest is presented with a good finish, a good level of detail where we can appreciate the silhouettes of the elements. A point that is somewhat against is the color of the grass which is often confused with the shadows of trees and fog, which can confuse our view and thus let pass important objects in our search. The fog becomes a repetitive factor and reminds us more of Silent Hill than a real-life forest. The animals are well drawn and the forest itself is a scene worth contemplating at every step we take.
APARTADO GRAFICO
Among Trees, nos presenta un apartado artÃstico soberbio, una paleta de colores mezclada con tonos pasteles, que logran recrear unos atardeceres y amaneceres majestuosos, en cierto momento me recordó a FireWatch. El juego a pesar de su temprano desarrollo muestra todo su arsenal, el bosque se presenta con un buen acabado, un buen nivel de detalle donde podemos apreciar las siluetas de los elementos. Un punto que se nota algo en contra es el color del pasto el cual suele confundirse con las sombras de los árboles y la niebla, lo cual puede lograr confundir nuestra vista y de esta forma dejar pasar objetos importantes en nuestra búsqueda. La niebla llega a ser un factor repetitivo y nos recuerda a más a Silent Hill que a un bosque de la vida real. Los animales están bien dibujados y el bosque en si mismo es un escenario digno de contemplar a cada paso que podemos dar.
SOUND
The game features some outstanding ambient sounds, which manage to enrich the game experience. We can appreciate sounds like our footsteps, the water of the lake, the splashing of the fish, the noises of the birds and the sounds of animals. They are timely and have good sound quality, its soundtrack is not so remarkable, although it presents us with relaxed and paused melodies. Remember that this is not a definitive game, so this is an aspect that can improve with time.
SONIDO
El juego presenta unos sonidos ambientales destacables, los cuales logran enriquecer la experiencia de juego. Podemos apreciar sonidos como nuestras pisadas, el agua del lago, el chapoteo de los peces, los ruidos de los pájaros y sonidos de animales. Los mismos se presentan oportunos y presentan buena calidad sonora, su banda sonora no se hace tan destacable, aunque nos presenta melodÃas relajadas y pausadas. Recuerden que estamos ante un juego no definitivo por lo cual este es un aspecto que puede mejorar con el tiempo.
VERDICT
Among Trees, is a game that presents strong and clear ideas, for its early stage of development has its shortcomings, however, we must give credit to the level achieved in its visual section and playability of it. within its shortcomings the artistic design with the blue color that is often confused in some searches, somewhat empty scenarios and in its favor its level of progression that takes a long time to obtain certain rewards, but once obtained the game progresses more smoothly.

Among Trees, es un juego que presenta ideas contundentes y claras, por su etapa temprana de desarrollo tiene sus falencias, sin embargo, debemos dar crédito al nivel alcanzado en su apartado visual y la jugabilidad del mismo. dentro de sus carencias el diseño artÃstico con el color azulado que suele confundir en algunas búsquedas, escenarios un tanto vacÃo y en su favor su nivel de progresión que tarda bastante para obtener ciertas recompensas, pero una vez obtenido el juego avanza de forma más fluida. esperemos pronto un lanzamiento definitivo y más refinado.
