A unique and different game
In the games, there are several genres, but very few cover the possibility of imitating the animal kingdom in their video games, and we have not seen any simulator lion, tiger, leopard, etc, etc... I honestly have seen a small variety of games related to the simulation of the animal kingdom and the truth is that I was disappointed with how bad they are, becoming very boring and have no sense at all. Maneater comes from Tripwire Interactive and has proven to be a sustainable and playable title despite all the previous failures from different developers.
My experience with this title has been fairly short, but I will give you the best I can! I played this game about 6 months ago, at a distant relative's house. I really enjoyed it, I played it for about 6 hours total, and really if I could get through a good chunk of the game and experience how great it was for me. I was very surprised that this game didn't flop.... I've seen too many titles in this genre and the vast majority just fail and that's it, they are absolutely worthless... Maneater is the opposite!
Basically, we are a bull shark, something I found quite strange being the white shark the king of the ocean, but ok. We take the role of a hungry bull shark in search of prey of all kinds, we start with our shark quite young, and gradually we will level up, either by eating, killing, completing missions, etc.
We are in a region of the United States and one of our objectives is to kill humans without stopping. The game has a quite humorous touch and we will have fun attacking anything that moves in the sea.
Throughout the game we will have a voice that will practically be our guide throughout the game, it will tell us what to do, when, where, etc. That voice will be in charge of guiding us throughout the game. Honestly the game sometimes even seems like a reality show, why? Well, the commentator speaks with a European commercial voice XD.
In the beginning, we must be very careful because we will be a simple small shark wanting to eat the world, but still can not XD. As we level up we will unlock many areas or regions on the map, each with a fairly original setting than the other, for example, in the beginning, is very similar to that of a swamp, we have another with similar to a river, also this obviously regions with the open sea and beaches and boats around the entire map who will be our main victims.
However the game has a touch quite open world but at the same time not, because there are areas that we can not pass until our shark meets the necessary level, so open world how such is not, but that does not detract from its large and elaborate map. Throughout each map we will have different fauna and flora, the game really looks beautiful and it is very satisfying to see how beautiful it is... Entering a different area and seeing strange animals that you are already used to makes you want to eat them like crazy! Beautiful work by Tripwire Interactive and their very good creation of the environments in the game. I also want to emphasize the wonderful sounds under the sea, WOOOW! I was amazed when I dived and heard the screams of whales, dolphins, seals, etc, etc. I didn't know where they were coming from and I was even scared, then I remembered that whales communicate from a long distance.
The more we advance the more things we unlock so we can turn our shark into an unstoppable beast! We have the possibility to earn points by killing and completing missions, these points can be spent both on new skins, how reinforced fins, teeth of all kinds, (even electric xD), armor, large gills and everything you can imagine. The truth here I applaud Tripwire for their effort, they did very well with this section as we have a large section of customization, making our shark a real killing machine. We have to keep in mind that our shark also suffers damage and we have to take care of him and heal his wounds in battles.
The gameplay of our shark is quite good, getting to have a lot of fun and also having the ability to get out of the sea to kill people on the surface, it is a skill that we will improve over time. We have several attacks, we can give tails and bites, each of them being quite lethal against any enemy ... In other words, it's a shark. Something that is critical is how repetitive the way of attacking and killing can be. After a few hours you will always end up doing exactly the same thing, which is to kill and fight in the same way. Maybe they could have added different ways to assassinate our rivals, but I'm not complaining.
In the game we will have bosses and humans that we must kill, in the bosses we can find sharks, crocodiles, and a lot more animals just as dangerous as us, which becomes quite an interesting war underwater. Our most hated rivals will be the humans, and especially the shark hunters who want to kill us. The idea of the game is to dominate absolutely everything we can, be it the sea as the king of the sea, the land territory and even dominate the humans.
The game also shows us a sad scene of what happens in today's world with the ocean and how shitty we, the human race, can become. That's why I decided to put that title, "taking revenge on the human race". In the game and the different seas we can find a lot of garbage under the sea, plastics, clothes, waste in general, and it is something that happens on the planet, and the game tries to tell us that it is not right what we do. No doubt a great and beautiful moral.
My final conclusion of the game is that they did a very good job with the graphic section of the game, no doubt it is beautiful! But in the gameplay and content, I think they could have made a better effort as the game tends to be quite repetitive both in the way of killing how in their missions and objectives. Maybe with an improvement in its gameplay it would be a great game worthy of admiration, which it still is... But with some bugs and details that bore a little. While I could enjoy the game, I feel that maybe after 4 days of playing it I was bored, unless I missed even more important things, however, I recommend it in case you try something different.

Un juego único y diferente
En los juegos existen diversos géneros, pero muy pocos abarcan la posibilidad de imitar a el reino animal en sus videojuegos, y es que no hemos visto ningún simulador de león, tigre, leopardo, etc, etc. Yo sinceramente he visto un pequeña variedad de juegos relacionados a la simulación del reino animal y la verdad es que me decepcioné con lo malo que son, llegando a ser muy aburridos y no tener nada de sentido. Maneater viene de la mano de Tripwire Interactive y que ha demostrado ser un título sostenible y jugable a pesar de todos los fracasos anteriores de diferentes desarrolladores.
Mi experiencia con este título ha sido bastante corta, pero les daré lo mejor que pueda! Jugué este juego hace aproximadamente 6 meses, en la casa de un familiar lejano. Me gustó mucho, lo jugué por aproximadamente unas 6 horas en total y realmente si pude avanzar un buen tramo del juego y experimentar lo grandioso que fue para mí. Me sorprendió mucho que este juego no haya fracasado... Es que he visto demasiados títulos de este género y la gran mayoría sólo fracasan y ya, no sirven de absolutamente nada... Maneater es todo lo contrario!
Básicamente somos un tiburón toro, algo que me pareció bastante raro siendo el tiburón blanco el rey del oceáno, pero bueno. Ocupamos el rol de un tiburón toro hambriento y en la busca de presas de todo tipo, comenzamos con nuestro tiburón bastante joven y poco a poco iremos subiendo de nivel, ya sea comiendo, matando, completando misiones, etc.
Nos encontramos en una región de los estados unidos y uno de nuestros objetivos es asesinar sin parar a los humanos. El juego tiene un toque bastante humorístico y nos divertiremos atacando a lo que sea que se mueva en el mar.
En todo el juego contaremos con una voz que practicamente será nuestra guía a lo largo de todo el juego, nos dirá qué hacer, cuándo, dónde, etc. Esa voz sera la encargada de guiarnos a lo largo del juego. Sinceramente el juego a veces hasta parece un reality show, ¿Por qué? Pues el comentarista habla con una voz europea de comercial XD.
Al comienzo debemos tener mucho cuidado ya que seremos un simple tiburón pequeño con ganas de comerse al mundo, pero aún no podrá XD. Conforme subimos de nivel se nos desbloquearan bastantes zonas o regiones en el mapa, cada una con una ambientación bastante original que la otra, por ejemplo en la del principio se parece mucho a la de un pantano, tenemos otra con parecido a un rio, también esta obviamente regiones con el mar abierto y con playas y barcos al rededor de todo el mapa quiénes serán nuestras principales víctimas.
No obstante el juego tiene un toque bastante de mundo abierto pero a la vez no, porque hay zonas que no podemos pasar hasta que nuestro tiburón cumpla el nivel necesario, así que mundo abierto cómo tal no es, pero eso no le quita nada de mérito a su gran y elaborado mapa. A lo largo de cada mapa contaremos con diferentes faunas y flora, el juego realmente luce hermoso y es muy satisfactorio ver lo bello que es... Entrar en un área diferente y ver animales extraños a los que ya estas acostumbrado te hace querer comertelos como loco! Un hermoso trabajo por parte de Tripwire Interactive y su muy buena creación de los entornos en el juego. También quiero recalcar los maravillosos sonidos bajo el mar, WOOOW! Yo quedé alucinado cuándo me sumergí y escuchaba los gritos de las ballenas, delfines, focas, etc, etc. No sabía de dónde venían y hasta me asusté, luego me recordé que las ballenas se comunican a mucha distancia.
Mientras más avancemos más cosas desbloquearemos para poder volver a nuestro tiburón una bestia imparable! Tenemos la posibilidad de ganar puntos matando y completando misiones, esos puntos podemos gastarlos tanto en pieles nuevas, cómo aletas reforzadas, dientes de todo tipo, (hasta electricos xD), armadura, grandes branquias y todo lo que puedes imaginarte. La verdad aquí aplaudo bastante por su esfuerzo a Tripwire, lo hicieron muy bien con este apartado ya que contamos con una gran apartado de personalización, volviendo a nuestro tiburón una verdadera máquina de matar. Tenemos que tener en cuenta que nuestro tiburón también sufre daños y hay que cuidarlo y curarle sus héridas en batallas.
La jugabilidad de nuestro tiburón es bastante buena, llegando a divertirnos bastante y además contando con la posibilidad de salir del mar para matar gente en la superficie, es una habilidad que iremos mejorando con el tiempo. Tenemos varios ataques, podemos dar coletazos y mordiscos, siendo cada uno de ellos bastante letal contra cualquier enemigo... O sea es un tiburón. Algo que crítico es lo repetitivo que puede llegar a ser la forma de atacar y matar. Luego de algunas horas siempre terminarás haciéndo exctamente lo mismo, que es matar y luchar de la misma manera. Tal vez pudieron agregar diferentes formas de asesinar a nuestros rivales, pero no me quejo.
En el juego contaremos con jefes y humanos a los que debemos asesinar, en los jefes podemos encontrar tiburones, cocodrilos, y un montón más de animales igual de peligrosos que nosotros, lo cuál se vuelve una guerra bastante interesante bajo el agua. Nuestros rivales más odiados serán los humanos, y en especial los cazadores de tiburones que quieren acabar con nosotros. La idea que el juego nos propone es dominar absolutamente todo lo que podamos, ya sea el mar cómo el rey del mar, el territorio terrestre y hasta dominar los humanos.
El juego también nos enseña una triste escena de lo que pasa en el mundo actual con el océano y lo mierda que podemos llegar a ser nosotros, la raza humana. Por eso fue que decidí colocar ese título, "vengarnos de la raza humana". En el juego y los diferentes mares podemos encontrar mucha basura bajo el mar, plasticos, ropa, desperdicios en general, y es algo que pasa en el planeta, y el juego nos intenta decir que no esta bien lo que hacemos. Sin duda una gran y hermosa moraleja.
Mi conclusión final del juego es que hicieron un muy buen trabajo con el apartado gráfico del juego, sin duda es precioso! Pero en la jugabilidad y contenido, creo que pudieron hacer un mejor esfuerzo ya que el juego tiende a ser bastante repetitivo tanto en la manera de matar cómo en sus misiones y objetivos. Tal vez con una mejora en su jugabilidad sería un juegazo digno de admirar, que lo sigue siendo... Pero con algunos errores y detalles que aburren un poco. Si bien pude disfrutar el juego, siento que tal vez a los 4 dias de seguir jugandolo me fuese aburrido, a menos que me haya perdido de cosas aún más importantes, cómo sea, lo recomiendo por si probar algo diferente.
