What is going on, guys? I know it’s been a while since I did one of these but I decided that I would play through borderlands 3 for the second time, grab some B roll footage and figured why not do a “My Playthrough” series about it!
One of the things that I love about the numbered Borderlands games is that they all start off practically the same, with the new group of vault hunters kicking some ass while some bomber music is playing in the background.
This time around, the four vault hunters are attacked while going to a bar. We are introduced to them as Zayne, Moze, Amara and FL4K. FL4K is a beast master and can use beasts to tackle some enemies. Zane, well, I’m not exactly sure what he can do, but I do know he has a “digi clone” like Timothy did in BLTPS. Amara is the game’s playable Siren, whose focus is on hand to hand combat, and Moze has a bear that she can use to tear some shit up!
When it came to choosing the characters, I went with the same one I went with when the game first came out, and that was Moze. I was really disappointed we didn’t get a character like Krieg, who is just bat shit crazy as I would have mained them as my main in BL2 is Krieg.
So with my Vault Hunter selected, it was time for Lilith to make Moze’s acquaintance. Once again, this is another call back to the previous BL games, as we are on a Marcus’s bus when she appears to us.
Her orders were simple. We were to meet with her agent. Getting dropped off at his location, we meet up with claptrap, a self-proclaimed general of the Crimson Lance. Working alongside this annoying, but funny robot ( I’m still salty they switched up his V.A), we were to take down a Children of the Vault propaganda station.
Approaching the gate, Claptrap proudly proclaimed that he would waltz in and name himself King. Afterwards Moze would infiltrate them from the inside and murder them all in cold blood when they least expected it. Because after all, according to him, the bandits were stupid.
But they weren’t. Using a magnet they pulled Claptrap through the gate, then the bandits started to come. What they didn’t know was that Moze lived for this stuff. She rushed in, with her pistol by her side, while screaming “LEORY JENKINS!”
A lot of bodies later, Moze was the only one left standing. But the leader was still secured in his castle.
At the behest of the still trapped Claptrap, I ended up finding a shield tucked away in a chest that was on top of a roof. Soon afterwards, the leader of this outpost opened the doors to his castle.
The fight was a lot easier than I remembered. All I had to do was kite him around the room, and occasionally jump over his attacks, shoot at some elemental barrels when he got close enough, and soon enough, he was dead.
With Shiv dead, and a new shotgun added to my inventory, it was time to find the controls to free Claptrap!
Claptrap fell to the ground and was unable to get up without assistance. So it was time for Moze to come to the rescue! Helping the general up, he signaled for Lilith, it was finally time for Moze to meet the Firehawk.
But time for introductions was short as the last of Shiv’s men rushed out to attack, but they were no match for a Siren.
When the life left the very last bandit, Lilith urged us to follow into the base, past where we killed Shiv. It turns out that the Crimson Raiders had a map, a special map, no, not that kind of special, but the other kind. A map that led to multiple vaults! But they ended up losing it. She was so obsessed with finding the map she didn’t realize that the bandits were becoming more organized, more dangerous.
She believed that the map was in the bandit camp. According to a recording left, it was found in the Sun Smashers camp. And the COV was on the way to invite this camp into their cult.
We had to find the Sun Smasher Chief. Heading into a new area called the Droughts, Lilith decided to set up camp and left the heavy lifting to us.
On her way to the Sun Smasher camp, Moze came across a damaged vending machine belonging to Marcus. Marcus promised to reward her if she helped him fix the problem. He wanted her to check to see what the problem was first. But she had other things on her mind. She needed to get to that Chief.
Moze was not welcomed with open arms, but with bullets and humanoid statues that were infused with what looked like erdium. These bandits were not happy she was there. Shots rang out throughout the droughts, and at the end of it, every bandit in the camp laid dead at her feet. It was time to find the Chief.
The Chief, or the ex-chief, is a familiar face, Vaughn. It turns out after he refused to give the map up to the COV, his clan turned against him, tied him up, and hung him upside down. After freeing him we lead him back to the camp.
It turns out that the bandits were heading to a broadcast center with the Map, and it was up to Moze to go there and to stop, get back the map.
But before Moze headed there, she wanted to do some of those juicy side quests, and it just so happened a new one had popped up! Clap Trap was looking for a few cosmetic items to spice up his look. Before doing that, though, I decided to help Marcus with his problem.
It turns out the vending machine issue had something to do with it not properly getting power so Moze had to hunt down an electric stag, to use its spine as a conductor, or she could hunt down a bandit and take their spine. Never wanting to half ass something, she decided to get both.
It turns out Marcus was just pulling her leg, because after placing the bandit spine in the fuse box it disintegrated. Marcus started laughing, saying that he just wanted us to kill some bandits for them messing up his vending machine. Luckily, he wasn’t lying about the skag spine.
Once the machine was up and running, Marcus decided to reward Moze for helping sate his blood lush. He unlocked a door to his secret stash and Moze got some sweet, sweet loot.
Now it was time to find Ellie, so that she could get a car to get to the Broadcast center. Getting to her was easy, and she was willing to help us if we helped her. Some bandits stole her ride, and she wanted us to steal one of theirs, so off Moze went to get a new set of wheels.
After finding a place where bandits were racing, it was time to hijack a ride. I honestly thought this would be harder than it was, but lucky for me, one of the stupid bastards got stuck on a fence and I was able to jack his ride.
Heading back to Ellie, she used the catch a ride station to download it into her system and now we had a ride. It was time to get back the Vault Map.
This isn’t as long as some of my other “My Playthrough” posts, but once again, the reason why, is because of time. I swear I can’t wait until the time comes where I can focus solely on this and on doing stuff for YouTube, so I hope you understand! I will try to get part 2 of this posted in a few days!
¿Qué está pasando, chicos? Sé que ha pasado un tiempo desde que hice uno de estos, pero decidí que jugaría Borderlands 3 por segunda vez, tomaría algunas secuencias B y pensé, ¿por qué no hacer una serie de "My Playthrough" al respecto?
Una de las cosas que me encantan de los juegos numerados de Borderlands es que todos comienzan prácticamente igual, con el nuevo grupo de cazadores de bóvedas pateando traseros mientras suena música de bombarderos de fondo.
Esta vez, los cuatro cazadores de bóvedas son atacados mientras van a un bar. Nos presentan a ellos como Zayne, Moze, Amara y FL4K. FL4K es un maestro de las bestias y puede usar bestias para enfrentarse a algunos enemigos. Zane, bueno, no estoy exactamente seguro de lo que puede hacer, pero sé que tiene un "clon digital" como lo hizo Timothy en BLTPS. Amara es la sirena jugable del juego, cuyo enfoque está en el combate cuerpo a cuerpo, ¡y Moze tiene un oso que puede usar para romper un poco!
Cuando se trataba de elegir los personajes, opté por el mismo que usé cuando salió el juego por primera vez, y ese fue Moze. Estaba realmente decepcionado de que no obtuviéramos un personaje como Krieg, que está loco como una mierda, ya que lo habría hecho principal, ya que mi personaje principal en BL2 es Krieg.
Entonces, con mi Vault Hunter seleccionado, era hora de que Lilith conociera a Moze. Una vez más, esta es otra llamada a los juegos BL anteriores, ya que estamos en el autobús de Marcus cuando se nos aparece.
Sus órdenes eran simples. Íbamos a reunirnos con su agente. Cuando nos dejan en su ubicación, nos encontramos con claptrap, un general autoproclamado de Crimson Lance. Trabajando junto a este molesto, pero divertido robot (todavía estoy enojado porque cambiaron su VA), íbamos a acabar con una estación de propaganda de Children of the Vault.
Al acercarse a la puerta, Claptrap proclamó con orgullo que entraría y se nombraría Rey. Luego, Moze se infiltraría en ellos desde adentro y los asesinaría a todos a sangre fría cuando menos lo esperaran. Porque después de todo, según él, los bandidos eran estúpidos.
Pero no lo fueron. Usando un imán, empujaron a Claptrap a través de la puerta, luego los bandidos comenzaron a llegar. Lo que no sabían era que Moze vivía para estas cosas. Entró corriendo, con su pistola a su lado, mientras gritaba "¡LEORY JENKINS!"
Muchos cuerpos después, Moze era el único que quedaba en pie. Pero el líder todavía estaba asegurado en su castillo.
A instancias de Claptrap todavía atrapado, terminé encontrando un escudo escondido en un cofre que estaba en la parte superior de un techo. Poco después, el líder de este puesto de avanzada abrió las puertas de su castillo.
La pelea fue mucho más fácil de lo que recordaba. Todo lo que tenía que hacer era volarlo por la habitación y, de vez en cuando, saltar por encima de sus ataques, disparar a algunos barriles elementales cuando se acercaba lo suficiente y, muy pronto, estaba muerto.
Con Shiv muerto y una nueva escopeta agregada a mi inventario, ¡era hora de encontrar los controles para liberar a Claptrap!
Claptrap cayó al suelo y no pudo levantarse sin ayuda. ¡Así que era hora de que Moze viniera al rescate! Ayudando al general a levantarse, le hizo una señal a Lilith, finalmente era hora de que Moze se encontrara con el Firehawk.
Pero el tiempo para las presentaciones fue corto ya que el último de los hombres de Shiv se apresuró a atacar, pero no eran rival para una sirena.
Cuando la vida abandonó al último bandido, Lilith nos instó a seguir hasta la base, más allá de donde matamos a Shiv. Resulta que los Crimson Raiders tenían un mapa, un mapa especial, no, no ese tipo de especial, sino del otro tipo. ¡Un mapa que conducía a múltiples bóvedas! Pero terminaron perdiéndolo. Estaba tan obsesionada con encontrar el mapa que no se dio cuenta de que los bandidos se estaban volviendo más organizados, más peligrosos.
Ella creía que el mapa estaba en el campamento de bandidos. Según una grabación dejada, fue encontrado en el campamento Sun Smashers. Y el COV estaba en camino para invitar a este campamento a su culto.
Teníamos que encontrar al jefe de Sun Smasher. Dirigiéndose a una nueva área llamada Sequías, Lilith decidió establecer un campamento y nos dejó el trabajo pesado a nosotros.
De camino al campamento Sun Smasher, Moze se encontró con una máquina expendedora dañada que pertenecía a Marcus. Marcus prometió recompensarla si lo ayudaba a solucionar el problema. Quería que primero comprobara cuál era el problema. Pero ella tenía otras cosas en mente. Necesitaba llegar a ese Jefe.
Moze no fue recibido con los brazos abiertos, sino con balas y estatuas humanoides infundidas con lo que parecía erdio. Estos bandidos no estaban felices de que ella estuviera allí. Sonaron disparos a lo largo de las sequías, y al final, todos los bandidos del campamento yacían muertos a sus pies. Era hora de encontrar al Jefe.
El Jefe, o el ex-jefe, es un rostro familiar, Vaughn. Resulta que después de que se negó a entregar el mapa al COV, su clan se volvió contra él, lo ató y lo colgó boca abajo. Después de liberarlo, lo llevamos de regreso al campamento.
Resultó que los bandidos se dirigían a un centro de transmisión con el Mapa, y Moze tenía que ir allí y detenerse para recuperar el mapa.
Pero antes de que Moze se dirigiera allí, quería hacer algunas de esas jugosas misiones secundarias, ¡y resultó que había aparecido una nueva! Clap Trap estaba buscando algunos artículos cosméticos para darle vida a su apariencia. Sin embargo, antes de hacer eso, decidí ayudar a Marcus con su problema.
Resultó que el problema de la máquina expendedora tenía algo que ver con que no recibía energía correctamente, por lo que Moze tuvo que cazar un ciervo eléctrico, usar su columna como conductor, o podría cazar a un bandido y tomar su columna. Como nunca quiso hacer algo a medias, decidió comprar ambos.
Resulta que Marcus solo estaba bromeando, porque después de colocar la espina dorsal del bandido en la caja de fusibles, se desintegró. Marcus se echó a reír y dijo que solo quería que matáramos a algunos bandidos porque arruinaron su máquina expendedora. Afortunadamente, no estaba mintiendo sobre la columna vertebral de skag.
Una vez que la máquina estuvo en funcionamiento, Marcus decidió recompensar a Moze por ayudarlo a saciar su sangre. Abrió una puerta a su escondite secreto y Moze obtuvo un dulce, dulce botín.
Ahora era el momento de encontrar a Ellie, para que pudiera conseguir un auto para llegar al centro de transmisión. Llegar a ella fue fácil y estaba dispuesta a ayudarnos si la ayudábamos. Unos bandidos le robaron el vehículo y ella quería que nosotros robáramos uno de los suyos, así que Moze fue a buscar un nuevo juego de ruedas.
Después de encontrar un lugar donde los bandidos corrían, era hora de secuestrar un viaje. Honestamente, pensé que esto sería más difícil de lo que fue, pero por suerte para mí, uno de los estúpidos bastardos se quedó atascado en una cerca y pude engancharlo.
Volviendo a Ellie, usó la estación catch a ride para descargarlo en su sistema y ahora teníamos un viaje. Era hora de recuperar el mapa de la bóveda.
Esto no es tan largo como algunas de mis otras publicaciones de "Mi recorrido", pero una vez más, la razón es por el tiempo. Te juro que no puedo esperar hasta que llegue el momento en que pueda concentrarme únicamente en esto y en hacer cosas para YouTube, ¡así que espero que lo entiendas! ¡Intentaré publicar la parte 2 de esto en unos días!
