The Prince once again found himself in the tavern, but again, it wasn’t for joy. There would be no ale drinking for him, as he still had one task left to complete. Samuel and Walter sat at a table talking about the prospect of Brightwall sending supplies to the Dweller Camp. But Brightwall themselves didn’t have much food to begin with and the people were not willing to send what supplies they had to the Dweller Camp, especially if the request came from the Prince.
The Prince understood this, after all he was unknown to the villagers. All they knew was that he was a member of the royal family, whose current king is turning Albion into a wasteland, whose king closed down the town's main source of income, the academy. Just as all hope was lost, Samuel came up with a plan. If the Prince wanted help, he would need to give some help in return. The people of Brightwall had no shortage of problems, and maybe if the Prince helped them then they would be willing to return the favor.
The Prince strolled around town, eventually finding himself in front of two men, actors of sorts, who were talking about a lost play that combined both Tragedy and Comedy. They had hired another person to go retrieve this play, however, they never returned, so they tasked the Prince with the task.
The play was kept in the Library. There were no hollow men, no monsters lurking in the dark to strike at the Prince, at least at first. As the Prince got closer to where the book was kept a ghostly voice rang in the air telling him to turn back. Books flew off the shelves, doors slammed close, yet no harm came to the Prince.
A short time later, he came to the book sitting on a pedestal, and the voice warned not to pick it up. Ignoring the voice, the Prince scooped it up. All of a sudden, a ghostly head appeared from the open book. In a moment of shock, the Prince did all he could think of and shoved the head back into the book, but something went wrong. The ghost grabbed him, dragging him into the book.
In the book, the Prince met with the investigator the two actors had originally hired. It was here that it was revealed that the writer of the play was the ghost that the Prince had seen. He was protective of his last piece and would only allow someone with talent to claim the play for themselves.
The Prince had to go through a series of plays. The first he had to play the part of a fair maiden where they had to show how much they loved their romero. Of course, the Prince could also do the opposite, but he decided to play it safe.
Second, he had to play the role of a court jester, trying to appease his king. But instead of trying to make the King laugh, the Prince proudly and loudly declared his love for the king, all the while dressed in a chicken suit.
Thirdly, he had to play the part of the bandit. In this play the bandit is killed by a father that is seeking reveange, but the Prince had other plans. He fought off an ambush, slaying all of the attackers. At the end of the play the father was so distrought with grief, he decided to go end his life.
When all three plays were finished, the ghostly writer admitted that he was impressed, and gladly allowed the Prince to take the book, believing if anyone could bring it to life, it would be him.
However, there was a reason this play was never performed. The two actors acted out their parts and it was a mess. People booed and even a passing chicken got offended by it. Whether it was because the actors sucked or the play itself could be argued.
The next task the Prince stumbled upon was easier, but more humiliating. A farmer’s chickens have gotten loose and we are tasked with tracking them down and returning them to their coop. The only problem is these chickens were super intelligent evil beings and wouldn’t be fooled by an ordinary man. So the Prince had to dawn yet another chicken suit, to track the chickens down and to get them to follow him.
Once all the chickens were found. The farmer’s wife revealed that it was her that let the chickens out. The chickens didn’t deserve to be cooped in but deserved to be free because of how intelligent they were. The farmer refuted saying once again the chickens were evil, and since he couldn’t risk his wife freeing them again, then he had to kill them.
But the two couldn’t reach a decision, so they left it up to the Prince. The chickens didn’t seem smart, nor did they seem evil. But after running around Brightwall in a giant chicken suit, the Prince had an overcoming desire to agree with the farmer. After all, maybe he would get some free lunch.
But… Did the chickens really do anything bad? They won’t cause havoc, and only left the coop because the farmer’s wife left the door open for them. Can you blame the sky for rain, or a flower for blooming? Inside of every creature is a desire to be free. The Prince understood this more than anyone. So he agreed with the wife, the chickens should live.
The last quest the Prince came upon was more urgent. A mother had lost her daughter and asked the Prince to track her down. With Bandit’s help, the Prince was able to track the girl to a cave in the Mistpeak Valley. The girl, no older than 10, was all alone and scared. But I was glad to see an adult, or someone that was adult-like.
The Prince took her by the hand and led her through the cave, but getting out wasn’t as easy as getting in. Wolves emerged from every crevice with the plans of making them lunch. The Prince fought them off with sword and magic, eventually scattering the beasts. How the girl managed to get in the cave without being killed by the wolves was a miracle.
The Prince brought the girl back to her mother outside of Brightwall and had to bite his tongue to stop himself from chastising her. How long did it take for the mother to not realize her daughter was gone? How did the daughter get to Mistpeak Valley by herself? Why didn’t the mother not go looking for her, herself? All these questions the Prince kept to himself as the mother thanked him.
Word around Brightwall traveled fast. News of the Prince was not like his brother, and actually cared for the people of Albion reached every ear in Brightwall, and the villagers were willing to repay the debt.
The Prince met Samuel in front of the Brightwall gate, where a crowd had formed, some of which were carrying supplies for the Dweller camp. People cheered and roared as Samuel praised the Prince for his work, and showed the gratitude of his people. But he had a request. Logan had closed down The Academy, the main source of income for Brightwall. All learning was prohibited, so Samuel asked the Prince to make a promise that once he became King that he would reopen The Academy.
The Academy was a part of the Prince’s father’s legacy. When he was exploring the tunnels beneath it, he felt a connection to his father that he never felt in years. He had imagined if his father had also gone on similar quests, the troubles he faced, and what the music box actually was. Even still, even if the Academy was built by a complete stranger from a far away land, Logan had no right to close it. The Prince took Samuel’s hand and shook it. Giving his word that The Academy would be reopened.
Sabine was more than surprised that the tasks had been completed. The Prince had proven to him that he was nothing like Logan. He had proved he was a hero by getting the music box, he showed that he was willing to come to the defense of the people of Albion, that he was able to convince neighbor to help neighbor. But the tasks were more than what they seemed. It wasn’t just a man looking to get something for something, but rather it was a test set up by Sabine. By completing the tasks, the Prince showed that he had the qualities that are required in a good king, qualities that Logan was lacking.
Sabine had one final request. Logan’s men were destroying the Mistpeak Valley, the home of Sabine and his Dwellers. The final condition to gain Sabine’s resort was for the Prince to give him his word that once he sits upon the throne that the lands will be returned to Sabine.
Sabine and his people were tough , hardy people. They were resilient, loyal, and kind. If Logan had treated them right and with respect, they would have made great allies, but instead, they would be some of his fiercest enemies. The Prince agreed to the request. Once he sat on the throne, Mistpeak would be returned to the Dwellers, in exchange when the time came to overthrow Logan, Sabine would be standing next to the Prince, with an army of Dwellers behind them.

El Príncipe paseó por la ciudad y finalmente se encontró frente a dos hombres, una especie de actores, que hablaban de una obra perdida que combinaba Tragedia y Comedia. Habían contratado a otra persona para que fuera a recuperar esta obra, sin embargo, nunca regresaron, por lo que le encargaron al Príncipe la tarea.
La obra se mantuvo en la Biblioteca. No había hombres huecos, ni monstruos que acecharan en la oscuridad para atacar al Príncipe, al menos al principio. A medida que el Príncipe se acercaba a donde se guardaba el libro, una voz fantasmal resonó en el aire diciéndole que retrocediera. Los libros volaron de los estantes, las puertas se cerraron de golpe, pero el Príncipe no sufrió ningún daño.
Poco tiempo después, llegó al libro sentado en un pedestal, y la voz le advirtió que no lo recogiera. Ignorando la voz, el Príncipe la recogió. De repente, una cabeza fantasmal apareció del libro abierto. En un momento de conmoción, el Príncipe hizo todo lo que pudo pensar y empujó la cabeza hacia atrás en el libro, pero algo salió mal. El fantasma lo agarró, arrastrándolo hacia el libro.
En el libro, el Príncipe se reunió con el investigador que los dos actores habían contratado originalmente. Fue aquí donde se reveló que el escritor de la obra era el fantasma que el Príncipe había visto. Era protector con su última pieza y solo permitiría que alguien con talento reclamara la obra para sí mismo.
El Príncipe tuvo que pasar por una serie de obras de teatro. El primero tuvo que hacer el papel de una bella doncella donde debían demostrar cuánto amaban a su romero. Por supuesto, el Príncipe también podría hacer lo contrario, pero decidió ir a lo seguro.
En segundo lugar, tuvo que desempeñar el papel de un bufón de la corte, tratando de apaciguar a su rey. Pero en lugar de tratar de hacer reír al Rey, el Príncipe orgullosamente y en voz alta declaró su amor por el rey, todo el tiempo vestido con un traje de pollo.
En tercer lugar, tenía que hacer el papel del bandido. En esta obra, el bandido es asesinado por un padre que busca venganza, pero el Príncipe tenía otros planes. Luchó contra una emboscada, matando a todos los atacantes. Al final de la obra, el padre estaba tan angustiado por el dolor que decidió acabar con su vida.
Cuando terminaron las tres obras, el escritor fantasmal admitió que estaba impresionado y con mucho gusto permitió que el Príncipe tomara el libro, creyendo que si alguien podía darle vida, sería él.
Sin embargo, había una razón por la cual esta obra nunca se representó. Los dos actores representaron sus papeles y fue un desastre. La gente abucheó e incluso un pollo que pasaba se ofendió. Se podría discutir si fue porque los actores apestaron o porque la obra en sí misma.
La siguiente tarea con la que se topó el Príncipe fue más fácil, pero más humillante. Los pollos de un granjero se han soltado y tenemos la tarea de rastrearlos y devolverlos a su gallinero. El único problema es que estos pollos eran seres malvados súper inteligentes y no serían engañados por un hombre común. Así que el Príncipe tuvo que inventarse otro traje de pollo, para rastrear a los pollos y hacer que lo siguieran.
Una vez que todos los pollos fueron encontrados. La esposa del granjero reveló que fue ella quien dejó salir a las gallinas. Las gallinas no merecían estar encerradas pero merecían ser libres por lo inteligentes que eran. El granjero refutó diciendo una vez más que los pollos eran malvados, y como no podía arriesgarse a que su esposa los liberara nuevamente, entonces tuvo que matarlos.
Pero los dos no pudieron llegar a una decisión, por lo que se lo dejaron al Príncipe. Los pollos no parecían inteligentes, ni malvados. Pero después de correr alrededor de Brightwall en un traje de pollo gigante, el Príncipe tuvo un deseo vencedor de estar de acuerdo con el granjero. Después de todo, tal vez obtendría un almuerzo gratis.
Pero… ¿Realmente las gallinas hicieron algo malo? No causarán estragos, y solo abandonaron el gallinero porque la esposa del granjero les dejó la puerta abierta. ¿Puedes culpar al cielo por la lluvia o a una flor por florecer? Dentro de cada criatura hay un deseo de ser libre. El Príncipe entendió esto más que nadie. Así que estuvo de acuerdo con la esposa, los pollos deberían vivir.
La última misión a la que se enfrentó el Príncipe fue más urgente. Una madre había perdido a su hija y le pidió al Príncipe que la localizara. Con la ayuda de Bandit, el Príncipe pudo rastrear a la niña hasta una cueva en Mistpeak Valley. La niña, de no más de 10 años, estaba sola y asustada. Pero me alegré de ver a un adulto, o alguien que fuera como un adulto.
El Príncipe la tomó de la mano y la condujo a través de la cueva, pero salir no fue tan fácil como entrar. De cada grieta emergían lobos con planes de prepararles el almuerzo. El Príncipe los luchó con la espada y la magia, y finalmente dispersó a las bestias. Cómo la niña logró entrar en la cueva sin ser asesinada por los lobos fue un milagro.
El Príncipe le devolvió a la niña a su madre fuera de Brightwall y tuvo que morderse la lengua para evitar castigarla. ¿Cuánto tiempo pasó para que la madre no se diera cuenta de que su hija se había ido? ¿Cómo llegó sola la hija al Valle Mistpeak? ¿Por qué la madre no fue a buscarla ella misma? Todas estas preguntas se las guardó el Príncipe mientras la madre le daba las gracias.
La noticia en torno a Brightwall viajó rápido. Las noticias del Príncipe no eran como las de su hermano, y en realidad se preocupaban por la gente de Albion que llegaron a todos los oídos en Brightwall, y los aldeanos estaban dispuestos a pagar la deuda.
El Príncipe se encontró con Samuel frente a la puerta de Brightwall, donde se había formado una multitud, algunos de los cuales llevaban suministros para el campamento de los Habitantes. La gente vitoreó y rugió cuando Samuel elogió al Príncipe por su trabajo y mostró la gratitud de su pueblo. Pero tenía una petición. Logan había cerrado The Academy, la principal fuente de ingresos de Brightwall. Todo aprendizaje estaba prohibido, por lo que Samuel le pidió al Príncipe que hiciera una promesa de que una vez que se convirtiera en Rey reabriría la Academia.
La Academia fue parte del legado del padre del Príncipe. Cuando estaba explorando los túneles debajo de él, sintió una conexión con su padre que nunca había sentido en años. Se había imaginado si su padre también hubiera emprendido misiones similares, los problemas que enfrentó y qué era realmente la caja de música. Aún así, incluso si la Academia fue construida por un completo extraño de una tierra lejana, Logan no tenía derecho a cerrarla. El Príncipe tomó la mano de Samuel y la estrechó. Dando su palabra de que La Academia sería reabierta.
Sabine estaba más que sorprendida de que las tareas se hubieran completado. El Príncipe le había demostrado que no se parecía en nada a Logan. Había demostrado que era un héroe al obtener la caja de música, demostró que estaba dispuesto a salir en defensa de la gente de Albion, que podía convencer al vecino para que ayudara al vecino. Pero las tareas eran más de lo que parecían. No era solo un hombre que buscaba obtener algo por algo, sino que era una prueba creada por Sabine. Al completar las tareas, el Príncipe demostró que tenía las cualidades que se requieren en un buen rey, cualidades que le faltaban a Logan.
Sabine tenía una última petición. Los hombres de Logan estaban destruyendo el Valle Mistpeak, el hogar de Sabine y sus habitantes. La condición final para ganar el recurso de Sabine fue que el Príncipe le diera su palabra de que una vez que se siente en el trono, las tierras le serán devueltas a Sabine.
Sabine y su gente eran gente dura y resistente. Eran resistentes, leales y amables. Si Logan los hubiera tratado bien y con respeto, habrían sido grandes aliados, pero en cambio, serían algunos de sus enemigos más feroces. El Príncipe accedió a la petición. Una vez que se sentara en el trono, Mistpeak sería devuelto a los Moradores, a cambio, cuando llegara el momento de derrocar a Logan, Sabine estaría de pie junto al Príncipe, con un ejército de Moradores detrás de ellos.
