It’s been a minute since I’ve done a My Story. I’ve recently found myself playing through High on Life and honestly, as a huge fan of rick and morty, I just love the humor that this game has to offer, so I thought it would be a good, and fun idea to do a My Story about this game, so I hope you enjoy it!

Highschool sucked. There’s no other way to put it. You always hear that High School will be the best years of your life, and then when you actually get there, it changes to College will be the best years of your life. Well, I know for a fact that the former is a lie, and the latter… Well it’s not like I would know. My sister on the other hand… My sister who I always get compared to got accepted into one of the best colleges there is, and my parents are always sure to remind me of it, but what they don’t know about her is that she’s into drugs.
But what they don’t know about their Highschool graduate, unmotivated son is that he is about to become a bounty hunter. And not like Dog the Bounty Hunter. Hunting humans is so meh, no, I was about to become an Alien Bounty Hunter, and possibly the saviour of our planet.
The day was like all others, and like all other days I was doing what I did all the time, playing some games. Mom and Dad were going on some vacation, and I would be home with my sister, and it just so happened that my sister was planning a major rager.

Before starting the preparations though, she decided to take a line of coke. I followed her into the living room where she said that Dad didn’t love me, and that my parents left a note on the fridge for me. And it said exactly what you would think… Blah, Blah, Blah, you’re a disappointment… Blah, Blah, Blah, be more like your sister, and just stuff I hear everyday. I couldn’t wait for the party so that I could get black out drunk and forget about how big of a disappointment I am for a while.

On our way to grab some stuff for the party from my sister’s car, something out of this world happened, literally! Out of nowhere a space ship appeared right in the middle of the street, like out of thin air, and four aliens emerged from it!
My old neighbor, who is probably riddled with Dementia, thought the giant orange one was his wife. I was expecting him to be killed, but the orange creature grabbed him, stuck him in one of his holes and smoked him! It was like that one scene in Scary Movie 2 where Shorty gets smoked by his plant!

Afterwards an argument broke out between two aliens, which led to the green one being shot in the head! A screaming sound came from the body, I thought that maybe it was the alien still somehow alive, but no! It was his gun, except it wasn’t a gun like our guns on earth, and it talked! At first I couldn’t understand it, it could have been speaking Russian for all I knew, and then it spit out this orange gunk on me, and somehow I could now communicate with it!

It apologized and said that it was the only way for us to understand each other, and asked if I could pull out a chip from it. Afterwards it told me that if I wanted to survive I had to fight my way through the aliens to the ship to get a crystal! My sister left me to it, while she hid. If video games had prepared me for anything, it was this moment.
I fought through these orange creatures, only to discover they were not really orange, instead the orange stuff was some sort of armor. I laughed maniacally as I watched their heads pop. And then a disturbing thought occurred to me. This gun I had was alive. In order to reload it, I had to pull back on the barrel… Whenever I reload the gun, I’m I really giving it a “happy ending”? Ah, there would be time for that question later on.

I made my way to the ship, and was able to get the crystal. Fighting my way back home, I ran into my neighbors. The husband was packing things in his truck, claiming that he was the chosen one and it was his destiny to save earth… Yeah right, a man going through a midlife crisis is going to be earth’s savior? Maybe he got into my sister’s stash.
I made it back to the house, following a trail of blood, and there was my sister, standing in the living room, holding a bat, covered in gunk, with a dead alien at her feet. She seemed shocked, disgusted, and oddly sober. She couldn’t believe that she had to kill an alien, like I just hadn’t murdered a small colony of them.
Kenny, the gun, asked if we had anything that give off microwaves, and left it to my sister to tell him that we actually had a microwave. Kenny told me to put the crystal into it, and turn it on. Like a good little trooper I did.
At first nothing happened, the creature we saw kill Mr. Pilfrey appeared on the tv. He was an alien named Garmantuous and he was the leader of the G3 cartel. He made us aware that we were now his property, and then the tv went dead. The house gave off this weird glow, and we were teleported to space city.
Kenny told me that I would be out of my element and to follow his lead as we needed to find an old bounty hunter to help us in our quest to free earth. My sister couldn’t believe I was about to leave her behind, but she calmed down. Afterall in a city like this, we needed someone to watch the house.
Exiting the house I entered an Alien City, although, technically I suppose it wouldn’t be an Alien City but just a regular city, and that I would indeed be the Alien. I started asking around about the bounty hunter, and some people were less than helpful and a bit annoyed at my questioning. Eventually, I found a bum laying on a bench surrounded by junk. As I approached him he got startled telling me to not take his shit.
Kenny asked if he was the famous Bounty Hunter Gene, and lo and behold he was. This was the guy who was supposed to help me save Earth. He was reluctant at first, until he saw my house. He made a deal, he would help me become a bounty hunter but when I died he got the house.
Gene gave me his Bounty Hunting suit, but there was a problem, it didn’t have an activation key. Gene had pawned it. As a result my HUD got nothing but spam pop ups and no matter how many I closed they kept popping up. I was pointed towards the pawnshop to get the key back and was greeted by, for lack of better terms, a little bastard. After talking to his father, or maybe it was his mother, I was able to get the activation key, which fully activated the HUD and got rid of those pesky pop ups.
Back at the house Gene was getting comfy, to my sister’s dismay. Gene thought that I was her kid, and my sister decided to lecture me about leaving an alien movie in. She doesn’t own the house so she doesn’t have a say in who I move in with. Gene had set up a big alien computer in the living room. It was a bounty terminal, before checking it out, I talked to my sister who lectured me again about becoming a bounty hunter and killing aliens, completely forgetting that she had already killed some herself.
In order to go after the G3 Cartel, I first needed to go after a bounty called 9- Torg, 9- Torg was in the lower slums of the city, had multiple clones, and was constantly locked in a power struggle with them. Accepting the Bounty, I headed for the Slums.
The way to the slums was blocked by these two creatures. They asked me which one I thought was more attractive. The blue one was constantly putting the red one down, so I decided to give the red one a confidence boost and said that he was, and after confirming a few times that he was the more attractive one, the blue guy got mad and said that his gate would be forever locked to me. But the Red one said he would always be open.
I made my way down into the sewers where I saw a few desperate aliens. A kid jumped out in front of me, insulted me and kept asking me to shoot him. I’m usually one for granting wishes so I tried to shoot him, but Kenny wouldn’t let me. Until he did. I shot the kid in the head and he died.
When I got to the actual slums, I ran into an alien that looked like him. It turned out to be his mother, who had warned him about asking strangers to shoot him. Apparently he was 30 years old, but for their race that was practically him being a teenager. The mother didn’t seem mad though, she just seemed like she heard a complete stranger had died.
Torg’s crime family ran the Slums so I had to fight my way through this giant ant looking aliens. And after they were dead I ran into a fisherman who was depressed to say the least. He was fishing in what looked to be toxic waste, he said nothing lived in it, but a good thing about the waste was that if anyone ever wanted a way out of the slums they could take a dive into the deadly contraption. He wanted to, but he was too much of a coward. After some word games, he told me that Torg was held up in the laundry mat.
Inside of the Laundromat, my path was blocked by a locked door. Behind it I could hear two people talking about a man named Stevulax who had died. Kenny said that not everything had to result in shooting and suggested I used the power of negotiation. So Kenny, imitating what he thought Stevulax sounded like, told them that he was him and that he was back from the dead.
They opened the door but were disappointed. One of them was Stevulak's lover, but they were not angry. On the table was another talking weapon. It was a knife. They were there to try to sell it, but they told me to just take the knife that had once belonged to Gene. But the knife was bloodthirsty. It told me to stab these aliens, so listening to it, I did. The knife also had another power besides being bloodthirsty, I could use it to hook onto objects and swing, which helped me make my way to Torg.
It wasn’t very long before I ran into Torg, she was on a platform, surrounded by the green waste, and strung up above her was one of her clones. I never waited for her to talk, instead I attacked her right away. Torg was a tricky opponent. She would jump into the waste, cause it to rise, and force me to swing around like a monkey… Space Monkey. Eventually I killed her.
That’s when Knifey let me know that I needed to collect a trophy from the body as proof of the kill, so I let Knifey do what Knife does best.
The other Torg however, was grateful. She would now be the leader of the family. She said that 9 Torg was an evil clone, but then technically all of them were evil clones. If they were all evil clones, would it really be evil to kill them? Instead of leaving 5 -Torg to take leadership of the family, I stabbed her, before making my way back home.
Knifey had a bone to grind with Gene. He wanted me to stab him, and to be honest, Gene is kind of annoying, so I let Knifey have his revenge and stabbed Gene in the side. Gene wasn’t impressed but it was worth the laughs. Turning in the bounty at the terminal, I was ready to take on the G3 Cartel, and save Earth!
Ha pasado un minuto desde que hice Mi historia. Hace poco me encontré jugando High on Life y, sinceramente, como gran fanático de Rick and Morty, me encanta el humor que ofrece este juego, así que pensé que sería una idea buena y divertida hacer un Mi historia sobre este juego, ¡así que espero que lo disfrutes!

La escuela secundaria apestaba. No hay otra manera de decirlo. Siempre escuchas que la escuela secundaria serán los mejores años de tu vida, y luego, cuando llegues allí, cambia a la universidad, serán los mejores años de tu vida. Bueno, sé a ciencia cierta que lo primero es una mentira, y lo segundo... Bueno, no es como si yo lo supiera. Mi hermana, por otro lado... Mi hermana, con la que siempre me comparan, fue aceptada en una de las mejores universidades que existen, y mis padres siempre me recuerdan eso, pero lo que no saben de ella es que ella es en las drogas
Pero lo que no saben acerca de su hijo graduado de secundaria y desmotivado es que está a punto de convertirse en un cazarrecompensas. Y no como Dog the Bounty Hunter. Cazar humanos es tan meh, no, estaba a punto de convertirme en un Alien Bounty Hunter, y posiblemente en el salvador de nuestro planeta.
El día fue como todos los demás, y como todos los demás días estuve haciendo lo que hacía todo el tiempo, jugando algunos juegos. Mamá y papá se iban de vacaciones y yo estaría en casa con mi hermana, y dio la casualidad de que mi hermana estaba planeando un gran alboroto.
Sin embargo, antes de comenzar con los preparativos, decidió tomar una línea de coca cola. La seguí a la sala de estar donde dijo que papá no me quería y que mis padres me habían dejado una nota en la nevera. Y decía exactamente lo que pensarías... Bla, bla, bla, eres una decepción... Bla, bla, bla, sé más como tu hermana, y cosas que escucho todos los días. No podía esperar a la fiesta para poder emborracharme y olvidarme de la gran decepción que soy por un tiempo.
En nuestro camino a buscar algunas cosas para la fiesta del auto de mi hermana, ¡algo fuera de este mundo sucedió, literalmente! De la nada apareció una nave espacial justo en medio de la calle, como de la nada, ¡y cuatro extraterrestres emergieron de ella!
Mi viejo vecino, que probablemente esté plagado de demencia, pensó que la naranja gigante era su esposa. ¡Esperaba que lo mataran, pero la criatura naranja lo agarró, lo metió en uno de sus agujeros y lo ahumó! ¡Era como esa escena en Scary Movie 2 donde Shorty es fumado por su planta!
Después estalló una discusión entre dos extraterrestres, ¡lo que provocó que el verde recibiera un disparo en la cabeza! Un sonido de grito salió del cuerpo, pensé que tal vez era el alienígena que todavía estaba vivo, ¡pero no! Era su arma, excepto que no era un arma como nuestras armas en la tierra, ¡y hablaba! Al principio no podía entenderlo, podría haber estado hablando en ruso por lo que sabía, y luego me escupió esta sustancia naranja, ¡y de alguna manera ahora podía comunicarme con él!
Se disculpó y dijo que era la única forma de entendernos, y me preguntó si podía sacarle un chip. ¡Después me dijo que si quería sobrevivir tenía que abrirme camino a través de los alienígenas hasta la nave para conseguir un cristal! Mi hermana me dejó así, mientras ella se escondía. Si los videojuegos me habían preparado para algo, era este momento.
Luché a través de estas criaturas naranjas, solo para descubrir que no eran realmente naranjas, sino que la cosa naranja era una especie de armadura. Me reí como un maníaco mientras veía sus cabezas estallar. Y entonces se me ocurrió un pensamiento inquietante. Esta pistola que tenía estaba viva. Para recargarla, tuve que tirar del cañón hacia atrás... Cada vez que recargo el arma, ¿realmente le estoy dando un "final feliz"? Ah, habría tiempo para esa pregunta más tarde.
Me dirigí al barco y pude obtener el cristal. Mientras luchaba por regresar a casa, me encontré con mis vecinos. El esposo estaba empacando cosas en su camioneta, afirmando que él era el elegido y que era su destino salvar la tierra... Sí, claro, ¿un hombre que atraviesa la crisis de la mediana edad va a ser el salvador de la tierra? Tal vez se metió en el alijo de mi hermana.
Regresé a la casa, siguiendo un rastro de sangre, y allí estaba mi hermana, de pie en la sala de estar, sosteniendo un bate, cubierta de porquería, con un extraterrestre muerto a sus pies. Parecía sorprendida, disgustada y extrañamente sobria. No podía creer que tenía que matar a un extraterrestre, como si yo no hubiera asesinado a una pequeña colonia de ellos.
Kenny, el arma, preguntó si teníamos algo que emitiera microondas y dejó que mi hermana le dijera que en realidad teníamos un microondas. Kenny me dijo que le pusiera el cristal y lo encendiera. Como un buen pequeño soldado que hice.
Al principio no pasó nada, la criatura que vimos matar al Sr. Pilfrey apareció en la televisión. Era un extraterrestre llamado Garmantuous y era el líder del cartel G3. Nos hizo saber que ahora éramos de su propiedad, y luego la televisión se apagó. La casa emitía un brillo extraño y fuimos teletransportados a la ciudad espacial.
Kenny me dijo que estaría fuera de mi elemento y que seguiría su ejemplo, ya que necesitábamos encontrar a un viejo cazarrecompensas para que nos ayudara en nuestra búsqueda para liberar la Tierra. Mi hermana no podía creer que estaba a punto de dejarla atrás, pero se calmó. Después de todo, en una ciudad como esta, necesitábamos a alguien que cuidara la casa.
Al salir de la casa, entré en una ciudad alienígena, aunque, técnicamente, supongo que no sería una ciudad alienígena, sino una ciudad normal, y que yo sería el alienígena. Empecé a preguntar por el cazarrecompensas, y algunas personas no me ayudaron mucho y se molestaron un poco por mis preguntas. Finalmente, encontré un vagabundo tirado en un banco rodeado de basura. Cuando me acerqué a él, se sobresaltó diciéndome que no aceptara su mierda.
Kenny preguntó si él era el famoso Bounty Hunter Gene, y he aquí que lo era. Este era el tipo que se suponía que me ayudaría a salvar la Tierra. Se mostró reacio al principio, hasta que vio mi casa. Hizo un trato, me ayudaría a convertirme en cazarrecompensas, pero cuando morí se quedó con la casa.
Gene me dio su traje Bounty Hunting, pero hubo un problema, no tenía una clave de activación. Gene lo había empeñado. Como resultado, mi HUD solo recibió mensajes emergentes de spam y no importaba cuántos cerrara, seguían apareciendo. Me señalaron hacia la casa de empeño para recuperar la llave y me saludó, a falta de mejores términos, un pequeño bastardo. Después de hablar con su padre, o tal vez fue su madre, pude obtener la clave de activación, que activó completamente el HUD y eliminó esas molestas ventanas emergentes.
De vuelta en la casa, Gene se estaba poniendo cómodo, para consternación de mi hermana. Gene pensó que yo era su hijo, y mi hermana decidió sermonearme sobre dejar una película de extraterrestres. Ella no es propietaria de la casa, por lo que no tiene voz sobre con quién me mudo. Gene había instalado una gran computadora alienígena en la sala de estar. Era una terminal de recompensas, antes de revisarla, hablé con mi hermana, quien me volvió a sermonear sobre cómo convertirme en una cazarrecompensas y matar extraterrestres, olvidando por completo que ella misma ya había matado a algunos.
Para ir tras el Cartel G3, primero tenía que ir tras una recompensa llamada 9-Torg, 9-Torg estaba en los barrios bajos de la ciudad, tenía varios clones y estaba constantemente enfrascado en una lucha de poder con ellos. Aceptando la Bounty, me dirigí a los Slums.
El camino a los barrios bajos fue bloqueado por estas dos criaturas. Me preguntaron cuál me parecía más atractivo. El azul constantemente menospreciaba al rojo, así que decidí darle un empujón de confianza al rojo y le dije que sí, y después de confirmar varias veces que era el más atractivo, el chico azul se enojó y dijo que su puerta estaría cerrada para siempre para mí. Pero el Rojo dijo que siempre estaría abierto.
Bajé a las alcantarillas donde vi algunos extraterrestres desesperados. Un niño saltó frente a mí, me insultó y no dejaba de pedirme que le disparara. Normalmente soy de los que conceden deseos, así que traté de dispararle, pero Kenny no me dejó. Hasta que lo hizo. Le disparé al niño en la cabeza y murió.
Cuando llegué a los barrios marginales reales, me encontré con un extraterrestre que se parecía a él. Resultó ser su madre, quien le había advertido sobre pedirle a extraños que le dispararan. Aparentemente tenía 30 años, pero para su raza era prácticamente un adolescente. Sin embargo, la madre no parecía enojada, solo parecía haber escuchado que un completo extraño había muerto.
La familia del crimen de Torg dirigía los Slums, así que tuve que abrirme camino a través de estos alienígenas gigantes que parecían hormigas. Y después de que estaban muertos me encontré con un pescador que estaba deprimido por decir lo menos. Estaba pescando en lo que parecían desechos tóxicos, dijo que nada vivía en ellos, pero lo bueno de los desechos era que si alguien alguna vez quería salir de los barrios pobres, podía sumergirse en el artilugio mortal. Quería hacerlo, pero era demasiado cobarde. Después de algunos juegos de palabras, me dijo que Torg estaba atrapado en la alfombra de lavandería.
Dentro de la lavandería, mi camino estaba bloqueado por una puerta cerrada. Detrás pude oír a dos personas hablando de un hombre llamado Stevulax que había muerto. Kenny dijo que no todo tenía que resultar en disparos y sugirió que usara el poder de negociación. Entonces Kenny, imitando lo que pensó que sonaba Stevulax, les dijo que él era él y que había regresado de entre los muertos.
Abrieron la puerta pero quedaron decepcionados. Uno de ellos era el amante de Stevulak, pero no estaban enojados. Sobre la mesa había otra arma parlante. Era un cuchillo. Estaban allí para tratar de venderlo, pero me dijeron que simplemente tomara el cuchillo que alguna vez había pertenecido a Gene. Pero el cuchillo estaba sediento de sangre. Me dijo que apuñalara a estos extraterrestres, así que escuchándolo, lo hice. El cuchillo también tenía otro poder además de ser sanguinario, podía usarlo para engancharme a objetos y balancearme, lo que me ayudó a llegar a Torg.
No pasó mucho tiempo antes de que me encontrara con Torg, ella estaba en una plataforma, rodeada por los desechos verdes, y colgado encima de ella estaba uno de sus clones. Nunca esperé a que ella hablara, sino que la ataqué de inmediato. Torg era un oponente complicado. Saltaría a la basura, haría que se elevara y me obligaría a balancearme como un mono... Space Monkey. Finalmente la maté.
Fue entonces cuando Knifey me hizo saber que necesitaba recoger un trofeo del cuerpo como prueba de la muerte, así que dejé que Knifey hiciera lo que Knife hace mejor.
Sin embargo, el otro Torg estaba agradecido. Ahora sería la líder de la familia. Ella dijo que 9 Torg era un clon malvado, pero técnicamente todos ellos eran clones malvados. Si todos fueran clones malvados, ¿sería realmente malo matarlos? En lugar de dejar que 5-Torg tome el liderazgo de la familia, la apuñalé antes de regresar a casa.
Knifey tenía un hueso para moler con Gene. Quería que lo apuñalara y, para ser honesto, Gene es un poco molesto, así que dejé que Knifey se vengara y apuñalé a Gene en el costado. Gene no quedó impresionado, pero las risas valieron la pena. Entregando la recompensa en la terminal, ¡estaba listo para enfrentarme al Cartel G3 y salvar la Tierra!
