Hey All,
A fellow #hive friend reached out to me telling me that he was not able to play the game MoonKarts. And when I enquired why not then he pointed me to this warning that he was getting that said something like this - An embedded page at moonkarts-assets.arcadecolony.com says - "Your browser does not support graphics API "WebGL 2" which is required for this content." Digging a bit deeper and trying to interpret this error message. In simple terms the error message meant that ones browser doesn't support graphics API "WebGL 2" which is required for this content." The WEbGL 2(Web Graphics Library 2) is kind of a web technology that allows browsers to render advanced 2D and 3D graphics without requiring additional plugins. Here is the warning snippet image::
Solution to Warning - Your browser does not support graphics API "WebGL 2
Ok now that we have the warning the question is how to fix it? I did a bit of google search and found out that by enabling the - "WebGL 2 in Your Browser" will do the job. And how to do that, well here are the simple steps to follow::
- At first open Chrome and type chrome://flags/ in the address bar
- Search for "WebGL 2.0" and "WebGL Draft Extensions" Check the above image
- Enable the "WebGL Draft Extensions" if its disabled and by doing so it allows web applications to access the WebGL extensions that are still in draft status.
- AND Finally Restart your browser & hopefully the warning should go away.
I suggested those steps to him for now and lets see if this resolve the warning problem at his end or not. Else need to try out different approach where people are even suggesting to update the graphic drivers, enabling hardware acceleration and what not. I'll suggest other methods later incase this one on enabling WEBGL 2 doesn't work. And before I end, I would say that so far my experience with the game has been wonderful and I right now my plan is to accumulate as many #colony and #sciprt tokens of the game and more about in the next post so stay tuned.
