Hey everyone,
It's been a while. I know it's been a bit quiet in the HiveGamingCommunity lately. It's been difficult as the founder to not be able to give this community the time it deserves. Sadly, life threw some curveballs my way and I had to step back for what I thought would only be a short time. Well, we all know how that went. But I'm back, and I'm super excited to get back to it. Luckily, the HiveGC has a lot of amazing members and friends that took care of curation and kept things going in my absence. A special thank you goes out to to all of you.
When I first started the HiveGC, my goal was to create a space dedicated to gamers on the platform. Making sure original gaming content was being curated and getting the attention it deserved. There has been almost no break from that ever since the start and I'm very proud of that fact.
The enthusiasm and dedication of our members are what drove this community and we've had some amazing contests and even tournaments in the past. I've missed being a part of that energy. So, now that I am ready to dive back in. What better way to kick it off than with a little contest. I think it will be a good way to measure the engagement and just generally see who's still out there. So here we go.
The Best Gaming Moments Contest
This contest is all about capturing those unforgettable gaming moments. Whether it be a clutch play in a competitive game, a hilarious bug or an epic fail that made you LOL. Even if it's just a beautiful screenshot from a game, it counts!
How to Participate:
- Choose your moment: Take a screenshot or record a short clip (maximum 30 seconds) of an in game moment that fits one of the following themes:
- Win/Clutch Play: Impressive victory or a moment where you pwned your opponents.
- Glitch/Bug: A funny, unexpected, or bizarre in game moment. These seem to happen a lot lately.(stop releasing unfinished games for 70$ plz...)
- Beautiful Scene: A stunning landscape, a beautifully designed environment, or any beautiful scene from a game(characters included)
- Epic Fail: A moment where everything went wrong in the funniest way.
- Create your post in the community: Share your screenshot or video clip in the HiveGC community. Try to explain your post and why it's significant to you. Also try to mention which theme it falls under and why.
- Share in the Comments: Once your post is up, make sure to share a link to it in the comments section of this announcement post to make sure we don't miss your entry!
We will be judging the entries according to these criteria and in this order:
- Creativity & Originality
- Visual appeal
- How well it fits into the selected theme
- Community engagement (This one is not the primary factor but if your post sparks discussion and receives a lot of feedback then that will be noted and might earn you some bonus points.)
Finally, to the good stuff:
We will be rewarding your posts according to the above mentioned criteria but on top of that we will also have some Steam Gift Cards to give away.
- 1st Place: $50 Steam Gift Card
- 2nd Place: $25 Steam Gift Card
- 3rd Place: $10 Steam Gift Card
These will be purchased after the contest ends since they are usually region locked. Prizes will be delivered a few days after the deadline for the contest.
