Dollar Dash is a barely a game. It is chaos contained within an Unreal Engine powered executable. The premise is a top-down arcade experience that amounts to what Pay Day would be, if you shot to death your team of robbers.
Except, every time they "died" from a boulder to the face, or a cactus plant to the face, or any of the other absurd "weapons" the game allows you to use, they came back to life to fulfil a simple purpose, create an arcade game that should really just be a Mario Party mini game.
The premise is simple: break into place. Take valuables. Move them to a car. It gets complicated when a rival felon rocks up and tries to also take items at the same time as you.
Instead of working together and splitting the loot, try to steal the stolen loot from them, even though you're all loading the stolen valuables into the same vehicle.
Brilliant. (I say this with a high level of sarcasm!)
There's a line that's formed in the sand each time a wave crashes into a beach. It takes a little sand back with it, and deposits it on the ocean floor.
That's where Dollar Dash belongs. From its AI, to its lack of any real content - it is a spectacular, unremarkable wave upon the shores of my Steam Game library, and something that I'll never play again.
