Hola Amigos de Hive , hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el primer video juego de Futbol que jugué en mi vida, Goal Two, un gran videojuego que para el momento era perfecto, en cuanto a su jugabilidad, y toda la diversión que podía proporcionarnos. Hasta el día de hoy conservo el cartucho y mi NES que lamentablemente no funciona, o eso creo pues no tengo los cables adecuados para probarlo como debe ser.

Goal Two fue desarrollado por Tose y Jaleco en Japón, y fue lanzado en abril de 1992 para el NES. Este juego nos permite elegir equipos de entre 25 países, y las modalidades de juegos de exhibición y torneo, tanto singleplayer como multiplayer. Según Wikipedia este videojuego añadió mejoras a su primer lanzamiento Goal! de 1988, entre ellas la posibilidad de elegir la formación del equipo en la cancha, así como elegir a los 11 jugadores dentro de una lista de 15.

Solía jugar Goal Two con mi hermano, mi primo y amigos, siempre fue muy emocionante y de alguna manera gracioso, recuerdo que cuando los partidos terminaban en empate, venia la ronda de panalties para definir al ganador, esta sin duda era la parte más emocionante y de mayor tensión, pues al estar ambos jugadores el uno al lado del otro, surgía la necesidad de espiar los dedos de nuestro oponente para ver hacia donde iba a patear el balón, y no tener que adivinarle la dirección del disparo. Pero al final cada uno estaba pendiente de acomodar el mando de manera que no se viera.

Luego con la aparición del Nintendo 64 y el PlayStation fueron lanzados excelentes juegos como International Super Star Soccer 64, el cual se jugaba mucho en las salas de videojuegos, sin embargo, yo no tenía mi Nintendo 64, y al llegar a casa jugaba Goal Two, e imaginaba que estaba jugando International Super Star Soccer 64 y en esa época me di cuenta, que este era una juego que no tenía nada que envidiarle al nuevo lanzamiento para Nintendo 64.

Así pasaron un par de años, y Goal Two era mi ventana al futbol desde mi casa, hasta que llegó aquella gran navidad de 1998 cuando recibí como regalo mi Nintendo 64 que hasta el día de hoy tengo funcional, desde entonces World Cup 98 se volvió mi juego favorito de fútbol, aunque en un principio fue FIFA98 que uno de mis primos tenia. A partir de esa fecha mi hermano y mis dos primos realizábamos torneos, en donde los 4 participábamos para ver quien resultaba vencedor.

So a couple of years went by, and Goal Two was my window to soccer from my house, until that great Christmas of 1998 when I received as a gift my Nintendo 64 that until today I have functional, since then World Cup 98 became my favorite soccer game, although in the beginning it was FIFA98 that one of my cousins had. From that date on my brother and my two cousins played tournaments, where the 4 of us participated to see who was the winner.

De manera que Goal Two!, quedó relegado para siempre a una gaveta desde entonces, pero siempre quedará el recuerdo de este gran juego, que me dio horas de diversión durante varios años convirtiéndose en una pieza muy representativa de mi infancia, ahora digna de una colección de juegos retro.

So Goal Two! was relegated forever to a drawer since then, but the memory of this great game will always remain, which gave me hours of fun for several years becoming a very representative piece of my childhood, now worthy of a collection of retro games.
