Hi, today I'm about to write another post about a new mission of Red Dead Redemption 2 and in this post, I'll share my experience of playing the third mission of the first chapter.
Colter, The First Chapter.
After a failed robbery, the gang have fled from Blackwater into the Grizzly Mountains, but a late spring storm has left them half frozen and starting. They hole up in an abandoned mining town to lick their wounds and await a break in the weather.
The Aftermath of Genesis.
With the gang low on supplies and starving, Mr. Pearson sends Arthur and Charles out hunting.
I've found Arthur by the river bank when his horse was standing a little far behind him. The snowy scene looks so nice and I could feel the cold from my summer season after seeing this scene.
I was thinking of doing some photographs before I start the next mission as I might not get this scene again later.
The water looks cold and black in color because of the gloomy sky of course. And I was amazed seeing the wave on the water right after I set foot in it.
Well, after doing some photoshoots there, I headed for the mission.
There was Pearson, the cook guy maybe who was warming his hand by the hot coal and as soon as I started talking to him, the mission was started already. Pearson told me that we have a few cans of food and a rabbit for the whole gang of 10-12 peoples. Pearson even sent two peoples for hunting but they didn't find anything out there in the cold.
Then there came Charles and asked me to accompany him in hunting something down. Pearson threw me a can of assorted, salted offal to eat out there when hunting.
Charles hand was hurt so Arthur was saying that Charles can't go hunting with this hand but Charles was persisting that he should go as they need food.
Then we hopped on our horses and we started riding for the mountain maybe to get something to hunt. I had the option to follow Charles so that the speed of my horse and his horse gets almost same.
We kept riding the horses for sometimes while Charles was looking for wild animals.
And suddenly Charles stopped and found deer mark on the snow and he was sure that there's been deer here recently.
Now we left our horses, and I took a bow and arrows while Charles wasn't carry anything to hunt as his hand was hurt so now its upto me to hunt something out there.
We started walking slowly and silently so that the deer don't hear any noise otherwise they'd flee from the spot.
And look, we've found some fleshy deer out there waiting for us to hunt them down.
I missed the first time and they flee off at once so we had to keep tracking them and then we've found them again.
I got one this time.
This is a whitetail deer.
Whitetail Deer are found in a variety of habitats across the states, but are common to the forests of New Hanover, Lemoyne and West Elizabeth. Their herbivorous diet includes grasses, nuts, fungi, twigs and fruit. Keeping my distance from hunting deer can increase my chances of a kill as they're easily startled. Long range weapons such as a rifle, or a bow with poison arrows are considered to be the best when hunting. Deer hide can be used for crafting, and their venison meat can be used for cooking.
Well, I left the first hunt for Charles to carry and then I went to hunt another deer and it was easy this time and I was thinking of hunting more but we couldn't carry more at the time.
So after hunting the second deer, I picked it up on my shoulder and then I whistled for my horse.
After my horse came running to me, I approached the back of my horse and then I put the deer behind the horse.
Then together we started riding for our camp with both deer on our horses. It seems like they're going to have a feast tonight.
Well, while returning to the camp, there was a beer on the way and we had to change our path to get to the camp as we didn't want any trouble with the beer at this moment and the beer has spooked my horse already as you can see on the screenshot above.
And then I've found out that I've unlocked roaring with this horse. As they said about this horse only so I think its only for this particular horse and not for any horse I start riding. And then I tried out this feature and it looks cool.
Then we continued riding towards the camp while I was ready with the gun as we've already seen a beer and who knows what's waiting for me forward so I was being careful.
And at last we reached the camp and we took the deer on our shoulders in order to carry them to Pearson.
Pearson was surprised seeing the deer when he had another man around him drinking something and Arthur was talking as if he didn't notice that man.
The old man then talked out lout that he feels he hasn't spoken to Arthur for days and was asking if that's a way to greet an old friend.
Arthur kind of avoided the old folk and the old man left the place at once.
Then Pearson gave Arthur a drink for their good work but Arthur didn't like it.
Well then before leaving the deer to Pearson, Arthur skinned them being a helping hand.
Then Arthur carried a deer and put it hanging for Pearson to chop and asked Pearson to make a good stew as folks need it.
Then Arthur left the place and it seems I've unlocked the Master Hunter Challenge and I need to skin 2 more deer for winning Muster Hunter 1 maybe.
Then the mission The Aftermath of Genesis has come to an end.
I was awarded silver for completing this mission completing 2 objectives out of 3.
