Hello to all the Hive Gaming community, today I want to participate in the Blogging Challenge proposed by our colleague @marcoquin, and despite not talking so much about retro games I will not deny that many of them were responsible for marking my childhood and I remember them with great affection (there are even some that sometimes I return to play) and is that they can be considered for many as old games but for those who grew up with them keep a very important place for us so today I will start with day 1 of the challenge The first game console I had and it was nothing more and nothing less than the great and epic PlayStation 1 Slim version.

Unfortunately I still don't have it because due to an electrical failure it stopped working (a long time ago) and after many years of having it stored despite not working (I was very fond of it so I didn't want to get rid of it and I seriously hoped I could repair it) one day I didn't see it again, after questioning my mother (basically crying for answers hahaha) she admitted to me that she sent it to the trash because she knew it didn't work and she knew she wouldn't repair it (you can imagine my pain and sadness after finding this out) so to my regret I have no pictures of this console that for me was so cool but despite that I still have all the memories that this little version of the PS1 brought to my life.

Ok after remembering that moment of absolute sadness and feeling that my mom had thrown away a part of my life (no exaggeration I felt that haha) time to remember the good times. This console was a gift from my parents for Christmas, I remember being a 6 year old kid and playing with my cousins with some Power Rangers toys that my grandmother had given me when they called me to see the main gift, I ran because I thought it would be another Power Ranger (if he is a hardcore fan of these haha just like The Knights of the Zodiac and Dragon Ball) and to my surprise I saw a small box, when I uncovered it I didn't understand anything until my older cousin shouted with excitement that it was a Playstation (I had no friends with consoles and my cousins were much older than me so there was an age gap to understand what it was) my dad (who has always been a bit of a fan of video games) explained to me what it was and took me to the TV to install it and play the demo cd that came with the console; My happiness after seeing that there were games of Harry Potter, Monsters INC, Atlantis the lost empire (which was one of my favorite games) began that path that for me would be the love for video games.

After buying an absurd amount of games and going through soooo many genres haha (from Disney games to Resident Evil and Silent Hill, to fighting games like Tekken and Digimon Rumble, to RPG or adventure games like Megaman and Crash) I seriously had a childhood full of fond memories, of playing with my dad some fighting games, of playing with my cousins both Harry Potter games, of spending hours playing Megaman and Digimon Rumble, of playing with my dad, of playing with my cousins both Harry Potter games, of playing with my dad, of spending hours playing with my cousins, of spending hours playing Megaman and Digimon Rumble, of spending hours playing with my dad, of playing with my cousins both Harry Potter games, of spending hours playing Megaman and Digimon or having nightmares for months after playing Silent Hill 1 I can say that this console for me marked both my childhood and my life as a gamer and I remember it with great affection, I hope many more join this entertaining retro challenge haha, see you in future days to continue with this great idea of our friend @marcoquin

Hola a toda la comunidad de Hive Gaming, hoy quiero participar en el Blogging Challenge propuesto por nuestro compañero @marcoquin, y es que pesar de no hablar tanto de juegos retro no voy a negar que muchos de ellos se encargaron de marcar mi infancia y los recuerdo con mucho cariño (incluso hay algunos que a veces vuelvo a jugar) y es que pueden considerarse para muchos como juegos viejos pero para aquellos que crecimos con ellos guardar un lugar muy importante para nosotros así que hoy empezaré con el día 1 del reto La primera videoconsola que tuve y no fue nada más y nada menos que el genial y épico PlayStation 1 versión Slim.

Lamentablemente no lo conservo aún ya que debido a una falla eléctrica dejo de funcionar (hace mucho tiempo atrás) y luego de muchos años de tenerlo guardado a pesar de no funcionar (le tenía muchísimo cariño así que no quería deshacerme de él y esperaba en serio poder repararlo) un día no volví a verlo, luego de interrogar a mi madre (básicamente llorar pidiendo respuestas jajaja) me admitió que lo mando a la basura porque sabía que no funciona y sabía que no lo repararía (pueden imaginar mi dolor y tristeza luego de enterarme de esto) así que muy a mi pesar no tengo fotos de esta consola que para mí fue tan genial pero a pesar de eso tengo aún todos los recuerdos que está pequeña versión del PS1 trajo a mi vida.

Ok luego de recordar ese momento de absoluta tristeza y de sentir que mi mamá había botado una parte de mi vida (sin exagerar sentí eso jaja) hora de recordar los buenos momentos. Esta consola fue un regalo de mis papás para navidad, recuerdo ser un niño de 6 años y estar jugando con mis primos con unos juguetes de Power Rangers que mi abuela me había regalado cuando me llamaron para que viese el regalo principal, corrí porque pensé que sería otro Power Ranger (si es un fan empedernido de estos jaja igual que de Los Caballeros del Zodiaco y Dragon Ball) y para mí sorpresa vi una pequeña caja, al destaparla no entendía nada hasta que mi primo mayor grito de emoción que era una Playstation (no tenía amigos con consolas y mis primos eran mucho mayores que yo así que había una brecha de edad como para entender que era) mi papá (el cual siempre ha sido un poco fanático de los videojuegos) me explico que era y me llevo al televisor para que lo instalaramos y pusiera el cd demo que traía la consola; mi felicidad luego de ver qué existían juegos de Harry Potter, Monsters INC, Atlantis el imperio perdido (el cual fue uno de mis juegos favoritos) empezó ese camino que para mí sería el amor por los videojuegos.

Luego de comprar una cantidad absurda de juegos y pasando por muuuuuchos géneros jaja (desde juegos de Disney hasta pasando por Resident Evil y Silent Hill, hasta juegos de pelea como Tekken y Digimon Rumble, hasta juegos RPG o de aventura como Megaman y Crash) tuve en serio una infancia llena de recuerdos gratos, de jugar con mi papá algunos juegos de pelea, de pasar junto con mis primos ambos juegos de Harry Potter, de pasar horas jugando Megaman y Digimon o de tener pesadillas por meses luego de jugar Silent Hill 1 puedo decir que está consola para mí marco tanto mi infancia como mi vida como gamer y la recuerdo con mucho cariño, espero que muchos más se unan a este entretenido retro reto jaja, nos veremos en futuros días para seguir con esta genial idea de nuestro amigo @marcoquin.
