Hello to all the Hive Gaming community, I hope you are feeling great, today I want to bring you a pretty cool memory of my childhood but with a more applied approach to criticism and is that our nostalgia can get to play against us in terms of how really good were some games and I must say that this game that had enough hours of my time and that of one of my friends (which was the one who had a PS1 at that time) and is that we devoted hours and hours to this game and when I tried it again as an adult my experience was not as epic as I expected, and is that Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetal left a bitter taste in my memories.
Screenshots from my PCWell let's start talking about the positive since I can not dedicate too much negativity to a post haha, this game came out in 1999 and for that time its 3D graphics were really brutal, for me something I loved about this game was to see the change and animation of the Transformers in their robot form and in their animal form, plus the final attacks that each character had (being some really frustrating like Silverbold).
Screenshots from my PCThis game allowed us to choose four members of each side for the characteristic modes of a fighting game (story, VS, Survival, Practice) and we can choose between 10 different scenarios, which have some have certain traps or some power-ups that will allow us to recover life or lose it in quite entertaining ways, but from this point we start with the bad points of this game.
Screenshots from my PCOne of the points that kills the nostalgia is that we will only have in the whole game 4 characters for each side, even if we pass the story mode we will not have more characters to choose from, and the only way to have a different character is using a combination of buttons to give the characters we already have a different skin but on the basis of one of the characters we already have.
Screenshots from my PCSomething that I thought was great as a kid but now that I played it again I found it a bit boring was the absurd amount of damage generated by the final attack and how fast it recharges. It's understandable that a final attack has a high damage rate but that you can do the same one 3 times in a row and with that defeat your opponent takes a bit of fun out of the game I think.
Screenshots from my PCSomething I can't deny is that the soundtrack of this game is pretty good, it has a hard rock style that combines very well with the aesthetics of the game, and despite being a game of more than 20 years ago, its graphics are still considerably good, with this I just want to say that it is an entertaining game but we can not expect a jewel of this console (for that in this genre would be Tekken 3) but if a game that brought me good memories, I would not recommend both if you've never played it, but rather it would be something for those who want a touch of nostalgia, without further ado I hope to see you in another post.
Screenshots from my PCHola a toda la comunidad de Hive Gaming, espero se encuentren genial, hoy quiero traerles un recuerdo bastante genial de mi niñez pero con un enfoque más aplicado a la crítica y es que nuestra nostalgia puede llegar a jugarnos en contra en cuanto a qué tan realmente buenos fueron algunos juegos y debo decir que este juego que tuvo bastantes horas de mi tiempo y el de uno de mis amigos (el cual era el que tenía un PS1 en esa época) y es que le dedicabamos horas y horas a este juego y cuando lo volví a probar ya siendo un adulto mi experiencia no fue tan épica como lo esperaba, y es que Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetal dejo un trago amargo a mis recuerdos.

Screenshots from my PCEste juego nos permitía elegir cuatro miembros de cada bando para los característicos modos de un juego de pelea (historia, VS, Survival, Practice) y podemos elegir entre 10 diferentes escenarios, los cuales tienen algunas tienen ciertas trampas o algunos potenciadores que nos permitirán recuperar vida o perderla de maneras bastante entretenidas, pero a partir de este punto empezamos con los puntos malos de este juego.
Screenshots from my PCUna de los puntos que mata la nostalgia es que solo tendremos en todo el juego 4 personajes por cada bando, por más que pasemos el modo historia no tendremos más personajes para elegir, y es que la única forma de tener un personaje diferente es usando una combinación de botones para darle a los personajes que ya tenemos un skin diferente pero sobre la base de uno de los personajes que ya tenemos.
Screenshots from my PCAlgo que de niño me parecía genial pero ahora que volví a jugarlo me pareció un poco aburrido fue la cantidad tan absurda de daño que genera el ataque final y lo rápido que este se recarga. Es entendible que un ataque final tenga un índice de daño alto pero que puedas hacer el mismo 3 veces seguidas y con eso vencer a tu oponente le quita un poco de diversión al juego según creo yo.
Screenshots from my PCAlgo que no puedo negar es que el soundtrack de este juego es bastante bueno, tiene un estilo hard rock bastante entrenido que combina muy bien con la estética del juego, además que a pesar de ser un juego de hace más de 20 años, sus gráficas siguen siendo considerablemente buenas, con esto solo quiero decir que es un juego entretenido pero no podemos esperar una joya de esta consola (para eso en este género estaría Tekken 3) pero si un juego que me trajo buenos recuerdos, no lo recomendaría tanto si nunca lo has jugado, sino más bien sería algo para aquellos que quieren un toque de nostalgia, sin más que agregar espero verlos en otro post.
