Hello Marvel Snap followers! How has your week been? After a weekend of non-stop playing in HIGH VOLTAGE mode, I finally managed to get all the long-awaited rewards.
So, in today’s post, we’re going to analyze the reward card Agony.
We’ll go over its abilities, the types of decks where it’s recommended, and finally, I’ll share a short video on YouTube where you can see it in action.

Así que en el post de hoy vamos a analizar la carta que daban como recompensa Agony.
Veremos sus habilidades, en qué tipo de mazos es recomendada usarla y finalmente voy a compartir con todos vosotros un corto vídeo en Youtube en donde podréis verla en acción.

AGONY
Agony is a card with only 1 energy point, and although I’ve seen it in various decks, I think its best version is found in destruction decks. It has 2 power points, and the next card you play in its location will pair with it, gaining its power.
As you can imagine, the possibilities here are endless, but ideally, you’d want to pair it with another card that can continuously increase its power. Now, let’s look at the cards it synergizes with.
Agony es una carta de tan solo 1 punto de energía y aunque la he visto en varios mazos, creo que su mejor versión la podemos encontrar en mazos de destrucción. Tiene 2 puntos de poder y la siguiente carta que juegues en su ubicación se asociará a la otra carta dándole su poder.
Como os podéis imaginar aquí las posibilidades son infinitas pero lo ideal es asociarla a otra carta que pueda aumentar su poder constantemente. Ahora veremos con que cartas tiene sinergia.

- Deadpool is undoubtedly the best card to combine with Agony, allowing you to keep destroying Deadpool to make him as powerful as possible.
- Wolverine is another option; like Deadpool, it grows in power, though more slowly, but it always stays on the board.
- X23 never dies like Wolverine but won’t increase in power, making it the weakest option.
- Nimrod is another viable choice. Once paired, if we eliminate Nimrod, he will duplicate across other locations, potentially giving us two 8-power cards.
- Deadpool sin lugar a dudas es la mejor carta para combinar con Agony y así ir destruyendo a Deadpool para hacerlo lo más poderoso posible.
- Wolverine es la otra opción, igual que con Deadpool para la progreso de poder es menor aunque siempre está en el tablero.
- X23 nunca muere igual que Wolverine aunque no aumentará su poder, así que es la peor de las opciones.
- Nimrod es otra de las opciones que podemos usar. Una vez combinado si eliminamos a Nimrod se duplicará en las otras ubicaciones y podríamos tener 2 cartas de 8 puntos de poder.
The Best Decks with AGONY
This is a typical destruction deck where I’ve replaced Hulk Buster with Agony. The goal is to try to destroy as many cards as possible to make Knull very powerful and then destroy him with Arnim Zola to create two copies with double the power. Even so, the combo is complex, so we have the option to play Death at a very low cost or a highly powered Deadpool along with Venom and Wolverine.
There are many variants of this deck, so you can use whichever one you prefer. Among them all, this is the one that has given me the best results, though I’ve seen some interesting versions with Agent Venom (too bad I don’t have the card yet).
Éste es el típico mazo de destrucción en el que he cambiado a Hulk Buster por Agony. El objetivo es intentar destruir el mayor número de cartas para poder hacer un Knull muy poderoso y destruirlo con Arnim Zola para crear 2 copias con el doble de poder. Aún así el combo es complejo, así que tenemos la opción de jugar a Death con un coste muy reducido o un Deadpool muy poderoso junto con Venom y Wolverine.
Existen muchas variantes de este mazo, así que podemos hacer uso de la que más os guste. Yo entre todas esta es la que mejores resultados he obtenido, pero he visto algunas versiones con Agent Venom muy interesantes (lástima que aún no tengo la carta).
Another deck option is this movement-based one, where our goal is to make Multiple Man very powerful, then destroy him to later revive him with Phoenix Force, allowing him to create copies with each movement.
Otra opción de mazo es éste de movimiento en el que nuestra intención es hacer un Multiple Man muy poderoso que podamos destruir para más tarde resucitarlo con Phoenix Force y con cada movimiento vaya creando copias.
And finally, in this deck, we have a combination of the previous two decks. We’ll use the best of each to try to boost both Deadpool and either Human Torch or Multiple Man, along with Nimrod.
Y por último, en este mazo tenemos una combinación entre los 2 mazos anteriores. Usaremos lo mejor de cada uno de ellos para intentar potenciar tanto a Deadpool como a un Human Torch o Multiple Man, además de contar con Nimrod.
How to Play with AGONY
Here’s a new video where you can clearly see how to play the destruction deck with Agony. For those of you just starting out in Marvel Snap, I recommend focusing on building this deck as your first. Agony isn’t essential; you can use Hulk Buster instead, but it’s true that the cards are easy to obtain, and each season this deck ranks in the TOP with the highest win rate in the game.
As you’ll see in the video, it’s very simple to play. We need to try to destroy as many cards as possible to play Death at a very low cost, along with a repeatedly eliminated Deadpool to keep doubling its power, and finally use Knull or Arnim Zola to make copies of the card we want.
It might seem challenging to pull off some of these combos, but I assure you they often work. If you find 6 turns aren’t enough, you can always rely on Magik.
Aquí tenéis un nuevo vídeo en el que se puede ver claramente como jugar con el mazo de destrucción y Agony. A los que empezáis a jugar en Marvel Snap os recomiendo que os centréis en conseguir este mazo el primero de todos. Agony no es una carta indispensable, podéis usar en su lugar Hulk Buster pero si que es cierto que es fácil de conseguir las cartas y cada temporada está en el TOP de mazos con mejor Winrate del juego.
Cómo veréis en el vídeo es muy sencillo de jugar. Debemos intentar destruir el mayor número de cartas para poder lanzar a Death a coste muy reducido junto con una combinación de Deadpool varias veces eliminado para que su poder se vaya duplicando y por último hacer uso de Knull o Arnim Zola para hacer copias de la carta que queramos.
Puede parecer difícil llegar a hacer algunos de los combos que tiene, pero te aseguro que suelen salir. Si por el contrario ves que con 6 turnos te quedas corto, siempre puedes echar mano de Magik.
My opinion about AGONY
Agony is by no means an essential card; in fact, Hulk Buster can perform its role perfectly and is easier to obtain. The only difference is that with Agony, you have more control over the card you want to fuse with, whereas Hulk Buster does it randomly.
Personally, if you’re planning to spend Tokens on this card—even though it’s Series 4 and costs 3000—think twice, as there are better options for competitive cards.
Agony para nada es una carta indispensable, es más Hulk Buster puede cumplir su papel perfectamente y es más sencilla de conseguir. Lo único es que con Agony tienes más control de la carta con la que que quieres fusionarla ya que Hulk Buster lo hace al azar.
Personalmente si vas a gastar Tokens por ésta carta, aunque sea de serie 4 y cueste 3000, piénsalo 2 veces ya que puedes conseguir mejores opciones de cartas competitivas.
