Hello Pokémon TCG Pocket friends, another week collecting cards in the game, and little by little I’m getting closer to reaching my goal of acquiring the cards I need to build the most top-tier decks in the game. This time, I want to talk to you about a very fun deck that you’ll absolutely enjoy.
Although it’s true that sometimes it’s hard to get the right card combination in the correct order, once you have it in play, it’s almost unstoppable. So, this week it’s time to talk about the VENUSAUR EX deck.
Hola amigos de Pokémon TCG Pocket, una semana más coleccionando cartas en el juego y poco a poco estoy llegando a alcanzar el objetivo de cartas que deseo para formar las mazos mas Top del juego. En esta ocasión quiero hablaros de un mazo muy divertido con el que lo pasaréis en grande.
Si bien es cierto que a veces cuesta que nos salga la combinación de cartas en su orden correcto, cuando la tenemos en juego es casi indestructible. Así que es el turno esta semana de hablaros del mazo VENUSAUR EX.
VENUSAUR EX DECK
As I mentioned, the Venusaur EX deck is very fun but challenging to play because it’s crucial to bring our Venusaur EX to the front with 4 energy to perform its Giant Bloom attack, which deals a whopping 100 damage and also heals 30 damage points.
However, we face two main problems. The first is that Venusaur EX is a Stage 2 Pokémon, meaning we need to evolve it twice to get it into play. This becomes especially challenging when playing against Pikachu EX decks, as unless we get the perfect starting hand, it’s really difficult to keep up.
The second problem is that it requires 4 energy points to use its Giant Bloom attack, so it struggles against fast-paced decks. Even so, we have cards that can help address this issue.
Como ya he dicho el mazo de Venasaur EX es muy divertido pero difícil de jugar ya que es importante poder llevar al frente nuestro Venasaur EX con 4 de energía para que haga su ataque Giant Bloom que hace friolera de 100 puntos de daño y además nos cura 30 puntos de daño.
Pero tenemos 2 problemas, el primero es que Venasaur EX es un Pokémon de Fase 2 con lo que necesitamos evolucionarlo 2 veces para conseguirlo, esto a la hora de jugar con mazos de Pikachu EX se vuelve realmente difícil ya que o nos salen las cartas de inicio perfectas o realmente es muy complicado.
El segundo problema es que requiere 4 puntos de energía para hacer su ataque Giant Bloom así que contra mazos rápidos es muy complicado, aún así tenemos cartas para solucionar este problema.
BULBASAUR & IVYSAUR & VENUSAUR EX

To play this deck, you need the cards Bulbasaur, its Stage 1 evolution Ivysaur, and finally its Stage 2 evolution Venusaur EX.
These cards are essential to evolve into Venusaur EX. You must play with its evolutions on the board since you might want to attack before fully evolving the Pokémon, depending on your opponent's cards. Generally, however, you should keep these cards on the bench, waiting until you can bring Venusaur EX into play with its 4 energy points.
This is where a specific card comes into play, one that will help us gather energy more quickly while holding out until Venusaur EX makes its appearance.
Para jugar este mazo es necesario las cartas Bulbasaur, su evolución de fase 1 Ivysaur y por último su evolución de fase 2 Venusaur EX.
Estas cartas son imprescindibles para llegar a evolucionar a Venusaur EX. Tenéis que jugar con sus evoluciones en el tablero ya que es posible que deseeis atacar antes de evolucionar al Pokémon, todo dependerá de las cartas de nuestro rival. Pero por norma general, debemos tener en el banquillo a estas cartas a la espera de poder sacar a Venusaur EX con sus 4 puntos de poder.
Y es aquí donde entra en juego una carta que nos van a ayudar a conseguir la energía más rápidamente además de aguantar a la llegada de nuestro Venusaur EX.
PETILIL & LILIGANT

Petilil and its evolution Lilligant will be the cards we need to use in the first turns as our lead Pokémon. The goal is to keep them in play long enough to evolve into Lilligant and use its Leaf Supply attack, which not only deals 50 damage but also provides 1 energy point to any Pokémon on our bench.
This allows us to speed up the energy gathering needed to bring Venusaur EX into play as quickly as possible.
Petilil y su evolución Liligant serán las cartas que debemos usar en los primeros turnos en primera posición. El objetivo es tenerlas el tiempo suficiente para evolucionarla a Liligant y hacer su ataque Leaf Supply que además de causar 50 puntos de daño nos proporciona 1 punto de energía al Pokémon que queramos de nuestra bancada.
Con esto podremos acelerar la obtención de energía que necesitamos para poner en juego a Venusaur EX lo antes posible.

Finally, we will have the following deck:
- Bulbasaur x 2
- Ivysaur x 2
- Venusaur EX x 2
- Petilil x 2
- Lilligant x 2
- Potion x 1
- X Speed x 1
- Poké Ball x 2
- Professor's Research x 2
- Erika x 2
- Sabrina x 2
As mentioned, it’s recommended to put Petilil in the front position on the first turn to try to evolve it into Lilligant as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, on the bench, we will have Bulbasaur, which we will gradually power up once we have 2 energy in Lilligant, which will also give us an extra energy thanks to its Leaf Supply attack.
For support cards, we will use 1 Potion in case we need to heal one of our Pokémon, 1 X Speed to retreat one of our Pokémon, and 2 Poké Ball to get Bulbasaur or Petilil as soon as possible.
Finally, we will use 2 Professor's Research to get the cards we need more quickly, 2 Erika cards to heal 50 HP of one of our Pokémon, and 2 Sabrina cards to help unbalance our opponent.
Finalmente tendremos el siguiente mazo:

Como ya he dicho primer turno es aconsejable poner a Petilil en primer puesto para intentar evolucionarlo a Liligant cuanto antes. Mientras en la bancada tendrems a Bulbasaur que iremos poco a poco y cargando de energía una vez tengamos 2 de energía en Liligant que además gracias a su ataque Leaf Supply nos dará una energía extra.
Como cartas de soporte usaremos a 1 Poción por si es necesario curar a uno de nuestro Pokémon, 1 X Speed para retirar a alguno de nuestros Pokémon, 2 Poké Ball para conseguir cuanto antes a Bulbasaur o Petilil.
Por último, usaremos 2 Professor's Research para conseguir las cartas que necesitamos más rápidamente, 2 cartas de Erika que curará 50 puntos de vida a uno de nuestros Pokémon y 2 cartas de Sabrina que siempre viene bien para intentar desequilibrar a nuestro rival.

Y como es habitual, un corto vídeo subido a Youtube en donde podéis comprobar como se juega con el mazo de Venusaur EX. Solo hay que esperar el momento oportuno para ponerlo en primera posición y gracias a su potente ataque y curación el combate estará prácticamente ganado.
