The SEGA Saturn was such a disaster that its bad reputation hurt DreamCast's chances. It's also a failed system only selling nine million consoles so they're pretty rare today, but it was only a 200 MHz machine so even today's worst phones can easily emulate it. I sadly never got to play any SEGA Dreamcast games because my friends and I were happy with our Nintendo 64 games and never spoke of or thought about SEGA. I sure had a lot of fun going through the list of games I could get to work on my phone three decades later. I'm also really happy with how the Redream emulator handled on-screen controls. It claims to be the best SEGA Dreamcast emulator, but it's one of the best emulators I've ever used for any system and it's free.

I never cared about Sonic so I didn't get any nostalgic vibes, but it was fun skateboarding downhill as the blue hedgehog. The game fails because it's weak compared to Mario 64 and slow to its 2D original.

Some of the best Street Fighter action went down on the Dreamcast because it was a sixth-generation console running third-generation 2D fighting games. If you were a sixth grader who had to do the third grade again you'd crush it too. These fighters have some really cool characters I've never seen before, look great, and run smoothly on my crap phone so I'll have to look around for a Bluetooth controller. You can play and win with your phone's touchscreen, but I know I'll have a better gaming experience with a physical controller.

My biggest surprise was Aqua, a fast boat racer almost as fun as Nintendo 64's Wave Race. It feels like you are the captain of a speedboat in GTA so the game was advanced for its time and not an AI cheater like Mario Kart. The other boats are actuating racing the track and not just spawned near the player.

It's sad SEGA quit making consoles. They really hit the wall back then never to really do much for gaming since. RIP SEGA.
