It's been three weeks since I last hopped into Mass Effect Andromeda. The end of my extended holidays happened and I didn't have quite as much time on my hands, then Lost Ark was released and I had to dive into that as much as I could. π But this weekend, instead of a Lost Ark Megaweekend I thought that I'd continue my latest Andromeda Adventure.

The last time I played I had rescued the most esteemed of the Angaran people and was preparing to do Liam's loyalty mission and head to Kadara for the first time in this playthrough.
Welp, that's exactly what I did!

As always I headed back to the Nexus for a bit to make sure there was nothing new going on. A couple of Angaran diplomats were there but other than that there was nothing of any note, no real new quests or anything.
And so, it was off to begin Liam's mission.

Liam's Loyalty Mission has always been my favourite in this game. There are Star Wars references, plenty of amusing dialogue, and I just think the whole thing is fun. The ship loses gravity, you get all turned around, everything's a mess; it's great.
When it comes to the Mass Effect games, a lot of people don't really like three characters -- Kaidan, Jacob, and Liam. Well, I like Kaidan. And I like Liam. Jacob I could care less about though. I never even bother talking to him unless I absolutely have to because Femshep sounds like she's flirting with him the whole time and no thank you.

Anyway. Liam! A lot of people don't like him, aren't amused by what I consider his humourous dialogue, and feel that he's a hot-headed imbecile who's basically committing treason.
I'm probably just daft, but I don't quite see that. He's just a guy who wants to help. π€·ββ

And so, after a lot of explosions we completed the mission, and my Ryder obtained Liam's loyalty. Hurrah!

With that out of the way it was time to go to Kadara, a planet that's basically the Omega of Andromeda. Crime, lawlessness, extortion, murders, etc, the armpit of the Heleus cluster.
I like the look of the planet though, with its sulfur pools and fancy coral-looking things littered around.

I had to play around with Ansel a lot though to get the colours right for my screenshots. I'm pretty slow, but it was during this fiddling around with colours that I discovered that I could take panoramic photos using Ansel!
The above screenshot is my first attempt. It's not the best, but I was just happy to find a new screenshot option!!

Kadara is a very vibrant planet, but I decided that I'd make the screenshots a little more subdued this time around. But it soon became apparent that I'd literally need to change the settings for nearly every screenshot, unlike every other planet I've been on.
Was a bit annoying. I got used to having my settings and just keeping them as they were.

My time spent on Kadara was minimal. I still have quite a few side quests to go, but I decided to just do a couple that were in my path and focus on getting things done. So very soon I was in the great terraforming device of this planet, fixing things up.
And then when I hopped back onto my ship I was absolutely inundated with emails. Everyone wanted to talk to me, everyone had things they wanted done, people wanted me to go back to the Nexus, back to Kadara, back everywhere.

So I went back to Kadara and crashed a party and stole their whiskey. Drank it with Reyes, ignoring his charms for a change. Then headed back to my ship.

Where my trusty AI told me I needed to go back down to Kadara. So I flung my arms up in the air and went back planet-side, again.

This is what I was talking about in my last Andromeda past. I hate how you leave somewhere, only to get an email or a message or someone telling you to go back where you came from. So you go back, complete things, return, and get told to go back again!
In the next Mass Effect game I hope so much they remove these ridiculous repetitive loading screens just to initialise instant new happenings. Or if they have to, can we just board the damned ship without it flying away so we don't have to suffer through both a flying-away cutscene and a flying-back cutscene?

So I spent most of the day on Kadara when I kind of wanted to hop around elsewhere. I mean, I didn't have to stay on Kadara; it's open world and I can go where I want. π But I like to do things in an order.
Next time I play should be a bit more spread out seeing as I've just opened up literally everything else after finishing the main points of Kadara. I have Cora's Asari Ark, Vetra's sister's discovery, the Krogan colony, just to name a few. I'm almost halfway through the game! π

Until next time!! π
