One thing I've always really enjoyed about Diablo 3 are the many special treasure goblins. The ones that drop materials, blood shards, copious amounts of gold, and just plain treasure. Everything. I love coming across the little fellas and annihilating them before they have the audacity to jump into a portal and vanish.
Every time I've played Diablo 3 over the past few years, I have one goal in mind -- acquiring the Cosmic Wings from the rainbow world, Whimsydale.

I never succeed. I was hoping that this short burst of Diablo playing before the next Path of Exile league begins might just be my lucky try, the week that results in a years-long goal finally being accomplished, but alas, I don't think it's meant to be. Diablo 4 will have been long released before fate decrees me worthy of such finery. And then it won't even matter, because I'll be playing D4 not 3. xD

Today I landed in my first Whimsydale of the season. Eagerly, I set forth and murdered all the carebears and unicorns within, hoping, pleading, that I'd come across the one who would drop the Cosmic Wings once killed.

But alas, after investigating every nook and cranny, she wasn't in there.
Disappointed, I kept plodding through the bounties and rifts, simply hoping that I'd come across another one. I did not. Not today anyway. I have low hopes that I'll find another one and actually get these wings before the next Path of Exile league begins, but I'll keep trying. π
So far I've come across one Not A Cow Level, one Whimsydale (not Whimsyshire), and that's it. No Goblin Treasure Queen. No Goblin Parties where 20 of the creatures roam out in the open world. Nothing. I feel gipped.

Today, my character is Paragon 222 and has reached Greater Rift level 37.
I haven't really gotten any full sets or anything yet, but she's rocking:
- a 2-set of Tal Rasha's: Damaging enemies will cause a meteor to drop from the sky.
- a 2-set of Firebird's: Disintegrate ignites enemies and does 3000% damage, when I die a meteor will fall and revive me.
- a 3-set of Aughild's: reduces damage taken and increases damage I deal, moreso against elites.
- a ring that gives me circles to stand in that increases my power.
- a sword that makes Disintegrate 252% stronger as I channel it.
Kanai's Cube, at the moment, gives me:
- killing enemies and destroying objects grants 20% of my mana
- reduces the cost of all fire skills by 30%
- reduces cooldowns when I use resource-using skills
It's pretty cool. I never run out of mana. I can stand there channelling my skill and slamming abilities for days!

I'm using two legendary gems at the moment -- Bane of the Powerful, and Simplicity's Strength.
Bane of the Powerful increases my damage by 20% after I defeat elites, and I do more damage and take reduced damage from elites.
Simplicity's Strength hasn't had its second upgrade yet, but increases my primary skill -- Disintegrate -- by 28%. When I upgrade it to its secondary potential using my primary skill will also heal me.
I haven't found the third one I plan on using just yet.

So far I'm enjoying how I've made my character. I'd really like to get a new one-hand weapon for her. The one she's using, while it has a great unique ability for my build, has cold damage stats. I DID pick up a fire one at one point, but it didn't have a socket.
Naturally I found a thing that adds sockets to weapons AFTER I dismantled the silly thing. (Yes, I forgot that the socketing item even existed, haha.) And yes, I know you can enchant things to have sockets, but I would rather get one and not have to remove any other traits just to make room for it.
Anyway!
Fingers crossed I come across another rainbow realm in the near future, and there's a princess inside who will give me Cosmic Wings when slain! There are two possible rainbow realms, Whimsydale and Whimsyshire. Apparently she only has the chance to spawn in Whimsydale.
Watch, my next rainbow realm will be Whimsyshire, just to spite me! π€£

Until next time!! ππ°
