Over the past few days, I dabbled here and there on the server. I really want to add some more stuff to the world's spawn area, but at the moment I can't really think of anything other than decoratives.

For the time being, I thought a quick access to the Nether would be a good addition. Especially since the portal at spawn took me straight to a Nether Fortress!

Seriously! What a fantastic location!

I figured that I should make an area for killing mobs relatively safely. And, of course, protect the Nether Portal. I feel that this would be a good place to start the Nether Hub as well.

So I protected the Nether Portal and started making a safe tunnel down to the fortress, then added a little room with some doors so the player can choose to go fight the masses and hope for Wither Skulls and Blaze Rods, or go the other way to explore the Nether.

In time there'll be a connection to the Nether Hub, but I have to make that first. 😅

So I made a relatively safe area for fighting things, with plenty of 2-block-high structures to hide beneath for easy Wither-Skeleton killing, since the Skeletons are 3-blocks-high. Won't keep you safe from the blazes, but that's part of the Nether Fortress experience! Haha.

And, of course, there's the all-important Access to the Nether area, looking all glam with purple candles and iron bars and such.

So, I still need to make the Nether Hub, but for the time being I thought that I'd actually PLAY THE GAME for a bit instead of working on the server. 😅😅😅 Hell, I'm still in iron armour.

So, I've found enough diamonds to make a pickaxe, and thankfully the first enchant available for it was Fortune!! So I quickly snagged that and went down into the depths of the world to find some more diamonds.

And thankfully, where I've made my mine just so happens to have a massive cavern at the diamond-level. Also a million zombies and skeletons. AND an abandoned mineshaft to explore!

I'm there for the diamonds, but nothing wrong with a little exploration. 😅

I ran out of food and torches long before lighting up the entire cavern, so took the very few diamonds I had found and went back up to make a couple of pieces of armour at least.

Food. I still haven't got my farms done up yet. So I went on an adventure to lure some cows back home, when I noticed a pink tree... it was very out of place.

I decided to climb up on a huge stack of dirt and look around the immediate surroundings, and it appears I've discovered the tiniest biome in history! XD At least in My Personal Minecraft History. We have the forest biome, the meadows, and right there, in between the two, is a teeeeeeeeeny tiny cherry blossom biome.

Of course I chopped them down and took all the saplings for my own. XD Two trees = about 18 saplings, so I'll be able to dot my forest with a few nice splashes of colour.

Back underground, now with a full set of diamond armour at last, I discovered a double-dungeon! xD One zombie, one skeleton. Nothing really interesting in the chests, but eh.

Now that I had some better armour, and I had some food finally growing and being bred, I decided to go back to the Nether and continue working on some server stuff.

Mostly getting the Nether Hub sorted! 😁

It still has some work to go, but the doors are in place for people's portals to link to. Mostly now I just need to floor, ceiling, and decorate the thing. Also, I need to remember to make sure the floor is placed in slabs so mobs don't spawn on them.

Finally, after a couple of hours, it was all done.

There was a while there where I was yelling at myself for wanting to make the thing so huge, it was sooooo tedious doing the floor and ceiling. xD

But at last! It was all done.

That's my job done for the week, HAHA! Next, I'm trying to get a Scoreboard type of thing working for the upcoming Hardcore Contest that I'd like to start in the near future! I've got the Multiverse working perfectly, now I just need to do the finer details like the Scoreboard, think up some rules, etc.

I've installed one Scoreboard type of plugin but I'm struggling to understand how to configure it. I need, like, a Minecraft Plugin Configuration Guide For Dummies to read over. 😅
