Pokemon Opalo Episode 1 Is LIVE 👇
Episode 1 Summary 🎮
Welcome to this brand new Pokemon series everyone!
This time I’m diving into a fan-made game called Pokemon Opalo, which is praised by the community as one of the best ever created.
Opalo features 2 regions, 16 gyms, and over 900 Pokemon in total. So yeah, buckle up because we’re in for a loooong ride!
In this first episode, I was introduced to the game’s story through a 2-minute cinematic and it was kinda... dark for a Pokemon game. Long story short, 60 years ago, during a Pokemon Championship battle, a terrorist attack took place that killed over 2000 people!!!
Ever since, the Pokemon League has been disbanded and only a few Gyms remain active with barely any challengers left.
We play as an 11-year-old kid from Breeze Town, a peaceful little village full of flowers, wooden houses, and that all that cool mountain shit! Right at the start, I read a letter from a childhood friend who left a gift for me at the local Pokemon Shelter. You guessed it... it was time to pick my starter Pokemon and start my journey across Cerifa Region.
Welcome to the team Flasinge!
After picking my first Pokemon, I set off on my first adventure toward Solana City.
A few wild Pokemon encounters later, I made it there in just a couple of minutes. That’s where I ran into Apolo, the guy who gifted me my starter.
He told me about his mission to revive the Pokemon trainer spirit across Cerifa and asked if I wanted to join his team of young trainers. Of course, I said yes!
With my first objective complete, I set off toward Jaloque City. To get there, I had to pass through South Fulgor Tunnel, and that’s where things took a turn...
Enter Team Gatling, the villain group of this game and the ones responsible for the terrorist attack 60 years ago.
These guys were trying to steal explosives from a tunnel worker, and I wasn’t about to just watch. I stepped in, battled them, saved the guy, and even though they still got their hands on the TNT, I definitely kicked some ass.
Right after that intense battle, I exited the tunnel and made it to Jaloque City where I saved the game.
Overall, a super fun and promising game!
The game feels smooth, the music is dope, the story has its own unique twists, and the battles are fast-paced. I’d give it a solid 9/10 so far.
Click play, enjoy today’s episode, and as always...
