The story of this title is very peculiar and if you are curious it can even be disturbing, it all starts with a dialogue of what looks like a family, but only showing the rain. In the dialogue it is implied that while they were traveling in the car the child starts talking a lot and distracts the father causing the crash of the car and perhaps even the death of some of them, then everything continues in a fantasy world, with a somewhat childish aspect and that can make you think of an imaginary world thought by a child.

As you can expect from a platform title, its combat or action moments are simple and without very complicated mechanics, we have an old sword with which we can make a basic attack or a charged attack by leaving the button pressed and thus cause double damage to enemies, although in most cases it is enough to give 3 hits to the enemies and defeat them. Similarly we also have a health bar which really works by hits and not by health level, we have a total of 5 health points and also by the environment there are green orbs that allow us to fill a health point, as well as silver orbs of experience which when we fill the bar increase our health.
The most striking thing in Figment is undoubtedly its designs and colors, each element has a very peculiar design that reminds me a lot of old children's books, everything has a simple aesthetic, but it is very nice to see and also the soundtrack is quite entertaining and something very peculiar is how some fights or dialogues are sung as a musical which generates a fun atmosphere, One of the things that caught my attention was how the vast majority of bridges or connections between platforms are yellow pencils, those typical school pencils so recognized which helps to create more the background that we are playing in the mind of a child and probably the same that has the accident at the beginning of the whole game.

Figment se trata de un titulo de plataformas con un diseño muy colorido y que en varios elementos del entorno nos muestra como trata de resaltar que son elementos hechos a mano y hasta parece que se trata de una obra de teatro y los elementos de fondos son la utilería.
La historia de este titulo es muy peculiar y si tienes curiosidad hasta puede ser perturbadora, todo comienza con un dialogo de lo que parece una familia, pero solamente mostrando la lluvia. En el dialogo se da a entender que mientras iban viajando en el carro el niño se pone hablar mucho y distrae al padre provocando el choque del carro y tal vez hasta la muerte de algunos de ellos, luego todo continua en un mundo fantasioso, con un aspecto algo infantil y que puede hacerte pensar en un mundo imaginario pensando por un niño.
Nuestro personaje es un ser humanoide peculiar, con cola larga, unas orejas grandes, lo que parecen ser pequeños cuernos y usa una especie de pijama completa, parece que estamos en un mundo basado en los recuerdos o en la mente de un pequeño niño lo cual hace pensar más en la idea de que toda la aventura suceda en la mente del niño del accidente o hasta incluso lo que esta imaginando antes de morir, parece que este mundo a sido atacado por pesadillas y será nuestro objetivo vencerlas.

Figment se trata de un titulo mayormente de plataformas, con algunos elementos de puzles y acción, lo controles son bastante sencillos, además de los típicos controles para movernos en las 4 direcciones también tenemos un botón para interactuar con algunos objetos del entorno, un botón para rodar, un botón para atacar y también un botón para revisar el inventario y poder utilizar los objetos que hayamos conseguido y que necesitemos en algunos elementos del entorno, su desarrollo parece ser lineal en todo momento por lo cual no tendrás momentos de atasco en donde no sepas que camino tomar o que debes hacer para continuar, mayormente es ir avanzando y superando los obstáculos.
Como se pude esperar de un título de plataformas, su combate o momentos de acción son sencillos y sin mecánicas muy complicadas, tenemos una vieja espada con la cual podemos hacer un ataque básico o también un ataque cargado dejando presionado el botón y de esta forma provocar el doblo de daño en los enemigos, aunque de igual forma en la mayoría de los casos basta con darle 3 golpes a los enemigos y los derrotamos. De igual manera también tenemos una barra de salud la cual realmente funciona por golpes y no por nivel de salud, contamos con un total de 5 puntos de salud y también por el entorno hay orbes verdes que nos permiten rellenar un punto de salud, así como también orbes plateados de experiencia los cuales cuando llenamos la barra nos aumentan nuestra salud.
Lo más llamativo en Figment sin duda alguna son sus diseños y colores, cada elemento tiene un diseño muy peculiar y que me recuerda mucho a antiguos libros infantiles, todo tiene una estética sencilla, pero que resulta muy bonita de ver y además también la banda sonora es bastante entretenida y algo muy peculiar es como algunos combates o diálogos son cantados a modo de musical lo cual genera un ambiente divertido, de las cosas que más llamaron mi atención fue como la gran mayoría de puentes o conexiones entre plataformas son lápices amarillos, esos típicos lápices escolares tan reconocidos lo cual ayuda a crear mas el trasfondo de que estamos jugando en la mente de un niño y probablemente el mismo que tiene el accidente al comienzo de todo el videojuego.
