Lately, a mechanic that has become more frequent in Genshin Impact events and is undoubtedly very fun and interesting is controlling creatures to fight for us against other enemies. Now, with the new event called Battle of Hypothetical Formations, we have a couple more aspects to consider when controlling our troops, which reminded me of TFT because it has certain similarities, although it is still a simple approach to make the gameplay fun and avoid the frustration of having to learn so many new mechanics for a temporary event.
In this new event, we will have two mini-games or challenges. The first is called Chronicles of Compi Adventures, which is similar to TFT and also has two different levels. The objective will be simple: we will “advance” through points in the level, and in each one we may have a different event, such as random encounters with different outcomes depending on our choices, shops, events where we can fight or escape, and also mandatory combat points where we must arrange our pieces to defeat the enemies.
Upon completing each combat or random event, we can obtain coins that will be used to purchase unit pieces, each costing 3 gold. They appear randomly and have 3 levels of improvement: 1 star for the basic creature, 2 stars when we obtain three copies of the same creature, and 3 stars when we have three copies of level 2 creatures. Each improvement significantly increases their health, damage, and armor. Similar to TFT, as you advance through the level, you can overcome sub-levels, and upon completing each one, you can choose a special bonus, such as earning interest by accumulating gold, being able to place one more piece on the board to increase your units to 5, and more.
In the mini-game, we have 5 different units for each class of warriors: mushrooms, Natlan Saurians, Saurian Soldiers, and Slimes. Each class gives us a bonus with a certain number of different units of the same class. The ideal is to try to get all 5 units of one class, such as all 5 mushrooms, all 5 Saurians, or the others. The improvement when you have all 5 units is quite good, although you can also play by creating combinations in your team and get the bonus of 2 units of different classes. Personally, after trying several combinations, I recommend always having all units of the same class to get the highest bonus level.

We also have items that we can equip our units with. These items improve their stats or give them special effects. We can equip up to 3 items to each unit, and the interesting thing is that they can be unequipped at any time, either to equip new items or to pass the items on to a stronger creature that you have just obtained. By completing the two different levels of this mini-game, we can get several rewards, the most important of which are protogems and the exclusive event collectible. This collectible allows us to get more rewards by accumulating certain amounts, but the most interesting thing is that it also allows us to claim Sethos, a 4-star Electro element character, for free. Personally, I didn't know anything about this character, I didn't have him on my team, and I don't know how useful he can be, although a free character is always useful for any new player or one with few characters.
The second mini-game in this event is called Fruit Supplement Study. In a nutshell, it's a Candy Crush-style game, but instead of moving tiles, we can guide Paimon along a path to collect the different fruits on the screen. Paimon can move in 4 straight directions and 4 diagonals, but with the limitation that you can only move to collect the same fruits per move. unless you pass over a jelly that allows you to collect another type of fruit in the same move. We have a limited number of moves to complete the level, and each level has objectives such as collecting a certain number of fruits or eliminating enemies from the level. Although it is fun, it can be somewhat monotonous and, compared to the other mini-game in the event, it can also be boring. Nevertheless, it is a different mini-game with good rewards to be earned.

Últimamente una mecánica que se ha vuelto mas frecuente en los eventos de Genshin Impact y que sin dudas resulta muy divertida e interesante es la de controlar a criaturas para que luchen por nosotros contra otros enemigos, y ahora con el nuevo evento llamado Batalla De Formaciones Hipotéticas tenemos un par de aspectos mas al momento de controlar a nuestras tropas los cuales me recordaron a TFT debido a que tiene ciertas similitudes, aunque aun sigue siendo un enfoque sencillo para que el gameplay resulte divertido y no termine frustrando el tener que aprender tantas mecánicas nuevas para un evento temporal.
En este nuevo evento tendremos dos minijuego o desafíos, el primer lleva por nombre Crónicas de Compi aventuras, este será el minijuego similar a TFT y que además tiene dos niveles diferentes. El objetivo será sencillo, vamos “avanzando” por puntos del nivel y en cada uno podemos tener un evento diferente, tanto encuentros aleatorios con diferentes resultados segundo nuestras elecciones, tiendas, eventos en donde podemos luchar o escapar, y también puntos de combate obligatorio en donde deberemos ordenar nuestras piezas para derrotar a los enemigos.
Al completar cada combate o evento aleatorio podemos conseguir monedas las cuales nos servirán para comprar las piezas de las unidades, cada una cuesta 3 de oro, aparecen de forma aleatoria y cuentan con 3 niveles de mejora, 1 estrella la criatura básica, al conseguir tres copias de la misma pasa a ser de nivel 2 y al tener tres copias de nivel 2 se convierte en una unidad de nivel 3, cada mejora le aumenta considerablemente su salud, daño y armadura. En concepto muy similar a TFT, a medida que avanzamos por el nivel podemos superar Sub Niveles y al completar cada uno podemos escoger una bonificación especial como conseguir interés al acumular oro, poder colocar una pieza mas en el tablero para aumentar a 5 nuestras unidades y más.
En el minijuego contamos con 5 unidades diferentes por cada clase de guerreros, tenemos los hongos, Saurios de Natlan, Soldados Saurios y Slimes, cada clase nos da una bonificación con cierta cantidad de unidades diferentes de la misma clase, lo ideal es tratar de conseguir las 5 unidades de una clase como los 5 hongos, los 5 Saurios o de las demás, la mejora al contar con las 5 unidades es bastante buena, aunque también puedes jugar creando combinaciones en tu equipo y tener la bonificación de 2 unidades de clases diferentes. En lo personal luego de probar varias combinaciones, lo más recomendable es siempre tener todas las unidades de la misma clase para buscar el ultimo nivel de bonificación.

También contamos con objetos que le podemos equipar a nuestras unidades, los objetos les mejoran estadísticas o le dan efectos especiales, podemos equipar hasta 3 objetos a cada unidad y lo interesante es que se pueden desequipar en cualquier momento ya sea para equipar objetos nuevos o para pasarle los objetos a una criatura mas fuerte que acabas de conseguir. Al completar los dos niveles diferentes de este minijuego podemos conseguir varias recompensas entre las cuales las más importantes serán las protogemas y el coleccionable exclusivo del evento, este coleccionable nos permite conseguir mas recompensas al acumular ciertas cantidades pero lo más interesante es que también nos permite reclamar de forma gratuita a Sethos, un personaje de 4 estrellas del elemento Electro, en lo personal no sabía nada de este personaje, no lo tenia en mi equipo y no sé qué tal útil puede resultar para utilizarlo, aunque un personaje gratuito siempre es útil para todo jugador nuevo o con pocos personajes.
El segundo minijuego de este evento lleva por nombre Estudio de suplementos frutales, de forma bastante resumida es un juego estilo Candy Crush, pero en lugar de mover las fichas, podemos guiar a Paimon por una ruta para ir recogiendo los diferentes frutos en pantalla, Paimon se puede mover en las 4 direcciones rectas y 4 diagonales, pero con la limitantes de que solo puedes moverte para recoger las mismas frutas por movimiento, a excepción que pases sobre una gelatina que te permite pasar a recoger otro tipo de fruta en el mismo movimiento, tenemos un numero limitado de movimientos para completar el nivel y cada nivel tiene objetivos como recoger cierto numero de frutas o eliminar enemigos del nivel. Aunque resulta divertido puede ser algo monótono y en comparación con el otro minijuego del evento, también puede resultar aburrido, de igual forma es un minijuego diferente y con buenas recompensas para conseguir.
