A genre of video games that I've always particularly liked, but I've never been very skilled for it is the bullet hell, titles where the large number of projectiles on screen is absurd and tests your skills, although fortunately there are titles of this genre that somehow do not exaggerate so much with projectiles on screen at the same time. Soul Knight is a mobile title that I discovered a while ago and that at first glance reminded me quite a bit of Enter The Gungeon, although it can be considered a little simpler and with a little easier control when it comes to a mobile title.
This game is from the same creators of Otherworld Legends a game that I played a lot and already shared once in my posts, shares many visual and design aspects, the room with all the characters available and other elements, so it was impossible for me not to associate Soul Knight with that game although this time we have a little more similar to the Bullet Hell combat also having a similar mechanics to the ammunition that somehow makes you try to use weapons more effectively.
The object of Soul Knight at first seems simple, it seems to be the typical RogueLike where we are having games one after another and where at the beginning the adventure can be a little more complicated, but as you play and dying you will unlock new objects and new areas and bosses, in the beginning we have the basic character a knight and also with 2 other free characters but in the title there are multiple characters, they must be purchased, some with game currency and others with real money.
The controls of Soul Knight are simple, we have the touch joystick to move, a shoot button, one to change the weapon and finally a button for the special ability, something peculiar is that unlike many Bullet Hell, we do not have an ability to dodge attacks or projectiles, Therefore it will be very important the positioning on the screen and learn the patterns of the enemies because you can simply move normally to dodge, although there are a lot of different weapons, we can only have two weapons at the same time, although there are some objects and temporary improvements per game to have more weapons. The descriptions of the weapons are simple: damage, consumption, critical damage, critical probability and weapon type, the consumption of the weapon can be considered as ammunition, we have a blue energy bar which is consumed with each shot, some use one point per shot, others 10, and can be recharged by getting blue orbs by defeating enemies, destroying stage objects and potions.
The health at the beginning can be very low, for that reason the characters have an armor bar which when you suffer damage is reduced, but is recharged over time, even when there are still enemies in the room, something peculiar is that although the health and armor has very low numerical values making you think that each damage only causes one point of health, the truth is that there are enemies and bosses that cause much more damage, causing you to lose all your shield with just one hit and with the second one you lose all your health, besides there is not much time of invulnerability when you receive an impact causing that in a game you can be feeling that you have everything under control, with all your health and in the blink of an eye you end up dying and losing the Run. One advantage is that the aiming when shooting is automatic so you can try to focus more on dodging and not die so fast.

In each level we have secured a treasure chest, a store, and some special room more, we can find room with improvements, challenge type objects that give us passive improvements in exchange for having several combat rooms with some disadvantage, NPC to help us in some way, mounts and even to recruit an NPC to fight by our side, Depending on the NPC you hire this can use a specific type of weapon so that if you get a powerful weapon for him you will increase his attack and will be a great help against enemies, a benefit of the mercenaries that we can hire in the games is that each weapon used by the NPC will not require energy recharge so you do not have to worry about giving him a weapon of high consumption and that he runs out of ammunition in the middle of combat.
As in many Roguelike the amount of content to get and unlock in Soul Knight is too much, we have the option to create weapons that we have found in the games several times to start with that weapon some game, mounts and even unlock new weapons after getting more pieces of the same as we play, to create all these elements out of game we need to consume several consumable items that are obtained randomly defeating enemies in the games or as rewards for defeating the bosses. Soul Knight ends up being a fairly entertaining title, with enough content to unlock and with a difficulty that varies quite a bit depending on the character you choose and the weapons you get, perhaps the only negative aspect is the F2P aspect where if you want to get a lot of characters can be absurdly delayed and several can not be unlocked with the resources obtained by playing.

Un genero de los videojuegos que particularmente siempre me ha gustado, pero nunca he sido muy habilidoso para el mismo es el bullet hell, títulos donde la gran cantidad de proyectiles en pantalla resulta absurda y pone a prueba tus habilidades, aunque por suerte hay títulos de este genero que de cierta forma no exageran tanto con los proyectiles en pantalla al mismo tiempo. Soul Knight es un título móvil que descubrí hace un tiempo y que a primera vista me recordó bastante a Enter The Gungeon, aunque se puede considerar un poco mas sencillo y con un control un poco más fácil al tratarse de un título móvil.
Este videojuego es de los mismos creadores de Otherworld Legends un videojuego que jugué bastante y ya compartí una vez en mis posts, comparte muchos aspectos visuales y de diseño, la sala con todos los personajes disponibles y otros elementos, por esto me fue imposible no asociar Soul Knight con ese videojuego aunque en esta ocasión contamos con un combate un poco mas parecido a los Bullet Hell teniendo también una mecánica similar a la munición que de cierta forma te hace tratar de usar de forma más efectiva las armas.
El objeto de Soul Knight en un principio parece sencillo, parece ser el típico RogueLike donde vamos teniendo partidas una detrás de otra y en donde al inicio la aventura puede ser un poco más complicada, pero según vas jugando y muriendo vas desbloqueando nuevos objeto así como zonas y jefes nuevos, en un inicio contamos con el personaje básico un caballero y también con otros 2 personajes gratuitos aunque en el titulo hay múltiples personajes, los mismos se deben comprar, algunos con la moneda del juego y otros con dinero real.
Los controles de Soul Knight son sencillos, contamos con el joystick táctil para movernos, un botón disparar, uno para cambiar el arma y por ultimo un botón para la habilidad especial, algo peculiar es que a diferencia de muchos Bullet Hell, no contamos con una habilidad para esquivar ataques ni proyectiles, por ello será muy importante el posicionamiento en pantalla y el aprenderse bien los patrones de los enemigos debido a que simplemente puedes moverte de forma normal para esquivar, aunque hay una gran cantidad de armas diferentes, solamente podemos tener dos armas al mismo tiempo, aunque hay algunos objetos y mejoras temporales por partida para poder tener mas armas. Las descripciones de las armas son sencillas: daño, consumo, daño crítico, probabilidad critica y tipo de arma, el consumo del arma se puede considerar como la munición, contamos con una barra de energía azul la cual se consume con cada disparo, algunas usan un punto por disparo, otras 10, y se puede recargar consiguiendo orbes azules al derrotar enemigos, destruir objetos del escenario y pociones.
La salud en un inicio puede ser muy escasa, por ese motivo los personajes tienen una barra de armadura la cual cuando sufres daño se va reduciendo, pero se recarga con el tiempo, incluso cuando aún hay enemigos en la sala, algo peculiar es que aunque la salud y armadura tiene valores numéricos muy bajos haciéndote pensar que cada daño solo causa un punto de salud, la verdad hay enemigos y jefes que causan un daño mucho mayor, haciendo que solo de un golpe pierdas todo el escudo y con el segundo pierdas toda la salud, además no hay mucho tiempo de invulnerabilidad cuando recibes un impacto provocando que en una partida puedas estar sintiendo que tienes todo controlado, con toda la salud y en un parpadeo termines muriendo y perdiendo la Run. Una ventaja es que el apuntado al disparar es de forma automática por esto puedes tratar de enfocarte mas en esquivar y no morir tan rápido.

En cada nivel tenemos asegurado un cofre del tesoro, una tienda, y alguna habitación especial más, podemos encontrar habitación con mejoras, objetos tipo desafío que nos dan mejoras pasivas a cambio de tener varias salas de combate con alguna desventaja, NPC que nos ayuden de cierta forma, monturas y hasta poder reclutar algún NPC para que luche a nuestro lado, dependiendo del NPC que contrates este puede usar un tipo de arma en específico de manera que si consigues un arma poderosa para él lograras aumentar mucho su ataque y será una gran ayuda contra los enemigos, una beneficio de los mercenarios que podemos contratar en las partidas es que cada arma que utilice el NPC no requerirá recargar energía por lo cual no tienes que preocuparte de entregarle un arma de alto consumo y que se quede sin munición en medio del combate.
Al igual que en muchos Roguelike la cantidad de contenido para conseguir y desbloquear en Soul Knight es demasiado, contamos con la opción de poder crear armas que hayamos encontrado en las partidas varias veces para poder comenzar con dicha arma alguna partida, monturas y hasta desbloquear nuevas armas luego de conseguir mas piezas de la misma a medida que vamos jugando, para crear todos estos elementos fuera de partida necesitamos consumir varios objetos consumibles que se consiguen de forma aleatoria el derrotar enemigos en las partidas o como recompensas al derrotar a los jefes. Soul Knight termina siendo un titulo bastante entretenido, con bastante contenido por desbloquear y con una dificultad que varía bastante según el personaje que escojas y las armas que consigas, tal vez el único aspecto negativo sea el aspecto F2P en donde si quieres lograr conseguir una gran cantidad de personajes puede ser absurdamente demorado y varios no se pueden desbloquear con los recursos conseguidos jugando.
