It's already Halloween on dCrops! My First Play in Trick or Treat Adventure Mode!
Sunday is the day of the week that I love the most because it is the only day of the week when I self-deny myself from thinking about work and dedicate myself completely to my family and my daughter Chiara.
Today I spent a beautiful day in a small town that is just a few kilometers from my city and where a beautiful medieval festival with many themed performances is organized every year.
I returned home only a few hours ago, turned on my computer and started to do my usual tour on the web pages of the Hive games I play.
Tonight I had a pleasant surprise because on dCrops the Halloween event has started.
I play on dCrops for more than two years (May 2021) and until now I have always participated in the events of the game and also had a lot of fun participating.
As in previous events organized by dCrops, even in the Halloween event you can choose between two modes of participation:
- a mode of participation that is completely free.
- a mode of participation additional to the free one that has a cost of 250 CROP tokens
Note: One mode does not exclude the other, so it is possible to play both modes.
The free mode does not require any registration but simply requires completing the usual game tasks.
Each game task is assigned a score in Halloween Candy (see image below).
With Halloween Candy points you can purchase various items from the EVENT SHOP section.
In the screenshots below you can see all the items that can be purchased in the EVENT SHOP.
For the Halloween event, there is a new feature compared to previous events because a new game mode has been introduced: Trick or Treat Adventure Mode!

I am curious by nature and immediately tried out this new game mode today, and in this post I show my initial considerations and the results I got in my first game in this new mode.
I clicked on HALLOWEEN in the main menu of dCrops.
On the next screen I clicked on GO TRICK OR TREATING!
On the next screen I clicked on Begin Your Adventure and paid an Entry Fee of 250 CROP.
Based on current market values spending 250 CROP is equivalent to spending 1.55 HIVE = $0.5348
On the next screen, I selected 10 items from my inventory to take with me on my Trick or Treat avdventure to persuade tricksters on my game path.
I chose 10 items with a value in SHARES total = 294 SHARES.
Then I clicked on PAY 250 CROP $ BEGIN ADVENTURE
It starts with Round 1 but it is possible to stop with each round won.
The first round has a fair chance of winning or losing: TRICK: 50% | TREAT: 50%
From Round 2 onward, the prize increases but progressively decreases (-1% per Round) the probability of winning.
In the following image you can see the screenshot of my first round where I clicked NEXT.
I was lucky, I won the first round and won 7 Halloween Candy.
I think staying in the first round never pays off because it is equivalent to trading 250 CROP for a few Halloween Candy.
I also want to show what happens when you lose a round.
So I decided to continue with the second round and clicked PROCEED TO NEXT ROUND.
I also won the second round :)
I continue with the third round!
I also won the third round and go straight to the fourth round.
In the fourth round my odds are: TRICK: 53% | TREAT: 47%
I also won the fourth round.
In round five my odds are: TRICK: 54% | TREAT: 46%.
I also won the fifth round and if I were not in a testing phase I think I might stop here or at least consider whether to do so but that is not the case and move on.
In round 6 my odds are: TRICK: 55% | TREAT: 45%.
I also won the sixth round!
So far I've been lucky because I've won 6 out of 6 rounds but I haven't been lucky with route bonuses because I haven't found any bonuses (see route bonus list in the screenshot below)
I still try my luck and go to the seventh round whose theme is Harry Potter.
My daughter loves Harry Potter and I hope it will bring me luck :)
Long live Harry Potter because I also win round 7.
I go to round number 8 and find Harry Potter again.
But this time Harry Potter does not bring me luck and I find my first TRICK.
The trickner wants 1 Carrot Pickle (90.18 SHARES).
I click on TRY TO PERSUADE
Although I do not have items worth 90.18 SHARES I can use multiple items to reach the SHARES required by the trickner
I choose 4 items and my SUCCESS CHANCE is 100% and quietly click USE SELECTED ITEMS TO PERSUADE
Round 8 completed!
I go to Round 9 where I am again unlucky.
I decide to persuade my trickner again.
I receive 54 Halloween Candy which brings my total reward to 222 Halloween Candy
In the tenth round I have as probability TRICK: 59% | TREAT: 41%!
Fortunately, the tenth round I win it!
I decide to try one last round then stop because with a probability of less than 40% I don't want to play.
In bad luck I'm lucky because the cost to move to the next round is only 15 SHARES.
In this case in addition to passing the round I also have an Overpay Bonus: 4.5 - 12 Candies.
In round 11 I received 89 Candies + 6 candies (overpay bonus).
I stop at round 11 and click on Claim Rewards.
My path to round 11 earned me 379 Halloween Candies but at the same time I spent 216 SHARES and 250 CROP.
I got a Score = 31.19 and I am in 12th place in the daily ranking which in about 18 hours will give out 15 prizes (3 Alpha pack, 6 Beta pack, 6 Ghost Pepper).
I immediately used 250 Candies to purchase 1 Coffin.
In the Coffin I was hoping to find 1 Golden Ticket but I found 4 CROP tokens.
In each Coffin the probability of finding 1 Golden Ticket is 20%.
Final Considerations
In this post I wanted to show how to play in the new Trick or Treat game mode.
Over the next few days I will continue to play in this mode and in my next post I will show a financial report to evaluate whether I should play or not.
In the dCrops Halloween event my goal will be to buy as many Alpha and Beta packs from the Event Shop but to do that I will have to buy a lot of Coffins and hope to find a lot of Golden Tickets because the beta and alpha packs are only purchasable with Golden Tickets.

Stasera ho avuto una piacevole sorpresa perchè su dCrops è iniziato l'evento di Halloween.
Gioco su dCrops da più di due anni (maggio 2021) e fino ad ora ho sempre partecipato agli eventi del gioco e mi sono anche divertito molto a partecipare.
Come nei precedenti eventi organizzati da dCrops anche nell'evento di Halloween è possibile scegliere tra due modalità di partecipazione:
- una modalità di partecipazione completamente gratuita
- una modalità di partecipazione aggiuntiva a quella gratuita che ha un costo di 250 CROP tokens
Nota: Una modalità non esclude l'altra e quindi è possibile giocare ad entrambe le modalità.
La modalità gratuita non richiede nessuna iscrizione ma richiede semplicemente di completare le usuali operazioni di gioco.
Ad ogni attività di gioco è assegnato un punteggio in Halloween Candy (vedi immagine seguente).
Con i punti Halloween Candy è possibile acquistare diversi items dalla sezione EVENT SHOP
Negli screenshots seguenti puoi vedere tutti gli items acquistabili nell'EVENT SHOP.
Per l'evento di Halloween c'è una novità rispetto agli eventi precedenti perchè è stata introdotta una nuova modalità di gioco: Trick or Treat Adventure Mode!

Sono curioso di natura e oggi ho subito provato questa nuova modalità di gioco e in questo post mostro le mie considerazioni iniziali e i risultati che ho ottenuto nella mia prima partita in questa nuova modalità.
Ho cliccato su HALLOWEEN nel menu principale di dCrops
Nella schermata successiva ho cliccato su GO TRICK OR TREATING!
Nella schermata successiva ho cliccato su Begin Your Adventure e ho pagato una Entry Fee di 250 CROP.
In base ai valori di mercato attuali spendere 250 CROP equivale a spendere 1.55 HIVE = 0.5348$
Nella schermata successiva ho selezionato 10 items dal mio inventario da portare con me nella mia Trick or Treat avdventure per persuadere i tricksters nel mio cammino di gioco.
Ho scelto 10 items con un valore in SHARES totale = 294 SHARES.
Poi ho cliccato su PAY 250 CROP $ BEGIN ADVENTURE
Si parte dal primo round ma è possibile fermarsi ad ogni round vinto.
Il primo Round ha una probabilità equa di vincere o perdere: TRICK: 50% | TREAT: 50%
Dal secondo Round in poi il premio aumenta ma diminuisce progressivamente (-1% per Round) la probalbilità di vincere.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la schermata del mio primo round in cui ho cliccato su NEXT.
Sono stato fortunato, ho vinto il primo round e ho vinto 7 Halloween Candy.
Penso che fermarsi al primo round non convenga mai perchè equivale a scambiare 250 CROP con pochi Halloween Candy e inoltre voglio mostrare anche cosa succede quando si perde un round.
Ho quindi deciso di proseguire con il secondo round e ho cliccato su PROCEED TO NEXT ROUND.
Ho vinto anche il secondo round :)
Continuo con il terzo round!
Ho vinto anche il terzo round e vado subito al quarto round.
Nel quarto round le mie probabilità sono: TRICK: 53% | TREAT: 47%
Ho vinto anche il quarto round.
Nel quinto round le mie probabilità sono: TRICK: 54% | TREAT: 46%
Ho vinto anche il quinto round e se non fossi in una fase di test penso che mi potrei fermare qui o almeno valuterei se farlo ma non è questo il caso e vado avanti.
Nel sesto round le mie probabilità sono: TRICK: 55% | TREAT: 45%
Ho vinto anche il sesto round!
Fino ad ora sono stato fortunato perchè ho vinto 6 round su 6 ma non sono stato fortunato con i bonus di percorso perchè non ho trovato nessun bonus (vedi elenco bonus di percorso nello screenshot seguente)
Tento ancora la fortuna e vado al settimo round il cui tema è Harry Potter.
Mia figlia adora Harry Potter e spero mi porti fortuna :)
Viva Harry Potter perchè vinco anche il settimo round.
Vado al round numero 8 e trovo di nuovo Harry Potter
Ma questa volta Harry Potter non mi porta fortuna e trovo il mio primo TRICK.
Il trickner vuole 1 Carrot Pickle (90.18 SHARES).
Clicco su TRY TO PERSUADE
Anche se non ho item del valore di 90.18 SHARES posso utilizzare più items per raggiungere gli SHARES richiesti dal trickner
Scelgo 4 items e la mia SUCCESS CHANCE è del 100% e clicco tranquillo su USE SELECTED ITEMS TO PERSUADE
Round 8 completato!
Vado al Round 9 dove sono nuovamente sfortunato.
Decido di persuadere nuovamente il mio trickner
Ricevo 54 Halloween Candy che portano la mia ricompensa totale a 222 Halloween Candy
Nel decimo round ho come probabilità TRICK: 59% | TREAT: 41%!
Fortunatamente il decimo round lo vinco!
Decido di provare un ultimo round poi mi fermerò perchè con una probabilità inferiore al 40% non voglio giocare.
Nell sfortuna sono fortunato perchè il costo per passare al round successivo è di soli 15 SHARES.
In questo caso oltre a superare il round ho anche un Overpay Bonus: 4.5 - 12 Candies.
Nel round 11 ho ricevuto 89 Candies + 6 candies (overpay bonus).
Mi fermo all'11 round e clicco su Claim Rewards
Il mio percorso fino al round 11 mi ha fatto guadagnare 379 Halloween Candies ma allo stesso tempo ho speso 216 SHARES e 250 CROP.

Considerazioni Finali
In questo post volevo mostrare come giocare nella nuova modalità di gioco Trick or Treat.
Nei prossimi giorni continuerò a giocare in questa modalità e nel mio prossimo post mostrerò un resoconto finanziario per valutare se mi converrà giocare oppure no.
Nell'evento di Halloween di dCrops il mio obiettivo sarà quello di acquistare il maggior numero di pacchi Alpha e Beta dall'Event Shop ma per farlo devrò acquistare molti Coffin e sperare di trovare molti Golden Ticket perchè i pacchi beta e alpha sono acquistabili solo con i Golden Ticket.
