Today begins a new gaming adventure for me because yesterday, April 22, 2024, the launch of the playable version of Rise of the Pixels was announced:Rise of the Pixels has officially launched Rise Of The Pixels is a Hive based browser management game in which the player must manage a video game creation studio. The development team is composed by: In this post I share my first experience with the game and my first impressions and postpone insights into the game dynamics to future posts. On Rise of the Pixels I started investing on December 18, 2024, I invested 201.84 HIVE to purchase from the Shop section: Based on the current market value of the HIVE token, I spent slightly more than the cost in HIVE faced by those who buy the same assets as me today. In fact, I spent 23.74 HIVE to buy the license that costs 23.61 HIVE today. Today I went to https://riseofthepixels.com/ and clicked on Log in There are 3 methods of log in and I chose Hive Keychain. The initial screen after logging in is the Project Hub section from which you can Create a new game. But before I created my first game I went to the My Resources->Packs section to open: To open my starter pack, I clicked OPEN and then confirmed the transaction via Hive Keychain. In the starter pack there is always 1 Developer and the probability of finding a legendary NFT is = 1%. I found: I was not very lucky with my starter pack but I still have 20 8 bit packs to open. Unlike the starter pack in the 8 bit packs you are not guaranteed to find 1 developer and instead of 250 PXL coins there are 100 PXL coins. Within the Resource Hub section I opened 20 packs at once. I didn't find legendary NFTs but I think I was still lucky because I found 2 Developers of epic rarity. In the following images you can see all the NFTs I found today To test this game, I immediately created my first game. But first, I went to the My Resource section to give my developer Kristen Huxtable the stuff she needed to be able to program: Then I went to the Project Hub section and clicked on Create a New Game. The most popular games in the market are the Platform/Fantasy games for Consoles and I decided to adapt to the market demands and also decided that my first game will be a Solo game. I have chosen the title, the Game Description and the game cover. For my first Solo game only one developer is needed and I chose the beautiful Kristen Huxtable whom I even invited to dinner but she very diplomatically declined :) LOL My game Road to Freedom will have a total cost of 71,454 PXL coins. For my first project, I did not use research, which is a section of the game that I have yet to discover. I chose to increase the production hours and consequently also the total cost of the project to have more Development Points to use and in the following image you can see what I chose. As a final step I clicked on Create Game. Now in my Dashboard (Project Hub) I can monitor the progress on the development of the Road to Freedom game which I hope will be successful :) My first impression of this game is positive because I like the idea behind the game. A differenza dello starter pack negli 8 bit packs non è garantito trovare 1 developer e invece di 250 PXL coins ci sono 100 PXL coins. All'interno della sezione Resource Hub ho aperto 20 packs contemporaneamente. Non ho trovato NFT leggendari ma penso di essere stato comunque fortunato perchè ho trovato 2 Developer di rarità epica. Nelle immagini seguenti puoi vedere tutti gli NFT che ho trovato oggi Per testare questo gioco ho immediatamente creato il mio primo gioco. Ma prima sono andato nella sezione My Resource per dare al mio developer Kristen Huxtable il necessario per poter programmare: Poi sono andato nella sezione Project Hub e ho cliccato su Create a New Game. I giochi più richiesti sul mercato sono i Platform/Fantasy games per le Console e io ho deciso di adeguarmi alle richieste del mercato e ho anche deciso che il mio primo gioco sarà un Solo game. Ho scelto il titolo, la Game Description e la game cover Per il mio primo Solo game è necessario un unico developer e io ho scelto la bellissima Kristen Huxtable che ho anche invitato a cena ma ha rifiutato con molta diplomazia :) LOL Il mio gioco Road to Freedom avrà un costo totale di 71.454 PXL coins Per il mio primo progetto non ho utilizzato le ricerche che è una sezione del gioco che devo ancora scoprire. Ho scelto di aumentare le ore di produzione e di conseguenza anche il costo totale del progetto per avere più Development Points da utilizzare e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere cosa ho scelto. Come ultimo passaggio ho cliccato su Create Game. Adesso nella mia Dashboard (Project Hub) posso monitorare i progressi sullo sviluppo del gioco Road to Freedom che spero avrà successo :) La mia prima impressione su questo gioco è positiva perchè mi piace l'idea alla base del gioco.
