In this post we will build some decks with the cards that I got from all those packs. We also have a bunch of wildcards, but we aren't going to use them yet. What I plan on doing in this installment of the series is a few parts:
- I will build a deck with the cards that I currently have. I will not use any wildcards and this will be a 60-card standard legal deck.
- I will use ChatGPT to analyze screenshots of my Mythics and Rares and have it create a possible standard legal, 60-card deck using only those cards and no wildcards.
- I will use ChatGPT to then figure out where to best use the Mythic, Rare, Uncommon, and Common wildcards to build a competitive deck.
After each of these steps I will play 10 games with each deck and see which one I have the most luck with. Let's get into this and start building our first deck.
Standard Legal 60-card Deck - Created By Me
So, after looking through my cards I think I see an interesting thing we can do with landfall. I kinda want to use one of our planeswalkers too, so I will build with that in mind.
I will focus on Oko, I suppose but really more than anything I'm looking for Landfall and ramp. I also really like Conduit of the Worlds!
I will also use my Loot card to play additional lands and try to trigger big landfall triggers.
Here is a list of cards I used for my deck if you want to use it and make some changes. Again, I just worked with what I had to make the best/most fun deck I could think of.

Time To Test
Well, here we go. Let's see how we do and we will go from there. I will show the first first bits of the game and then play out the rest unless something really cool happens lol.
My starting hand isn't too bad. Got some ramp and removal. Nice!
I will say, even with the removals and counters I still have a hard time against a deck that doesn't have the limitations mine has.
Well, this wasn't my best showing. I can't believe I only won 2 games. Having only a 20% success rating isn't good. I will have to rethink this deck or see how it compares to the AI created one. Hopefully, the AI deck doesn't blow my deck out of the water!
Standard Legal 60-card Deck - Created By AI
Let's see which direction they go.
Interesting. Looks like AI agrees with part of my color choice and some of the cards I picked for my deck. I actually seem to like this concept just slightly better, but I still think my landfall deck could work out with tweaking.
The core to this deck of theirs is Planeswalkers and removal like crazy. They did some weird scry land choices, but let's see how this builds out. Here is a copy of the deck for your use.

Time To Test
Let's see if this one fairs a little better than mine.
Not starting out too good. Let's see if it gets any better.
Hopefully, we can salvage this a little bit but I don't have high hopes.
Well, it did just slightly better. 3 wins out of 10 matches for a 30% success rate. Slightly better than my deck but I would say they are mostly comparable in how bad they are lol. Hopefully, we can use some wildcards and get some decent cards where we can secure a couple more wins.
Standard Legal 60-card Deck - Created By AI & Using Wildcards
Now, let's see what AI can make when we give it a few options to pick anything. I'm going to instruct the AI to use the best practices and keep in mind the cards I already have to see where the wildcards would be best used.
This deck has a ton of removal and is going to be super annoying to play against lol. It's perfect! I think this deck will actually do pretty good.

Time To Test
Let's see what this beast can do in these 10 matches.
I have just been getting screwed on the draw! Man, I just do not have any draw luck right now.
Wow, this deck is actually really good and fun to play. 80% success rate even with my horrible draw luck. I think 8 wins with this deck is really nice and I'm surprised how much difference a few wildcards can make. I am actually doing pretty well in matches where I would probably lose with either of the other decks.
Final Thoughts
So, what did we take away from this experience? Well, I think we found out that you can get fairly decent value for free cards. I also think that the amount of Wildcards you get by opening packs helps out a ton! Being able to choose even just a few Mythics and Rares goes a long way to build out a deck that can be competitive.
I feel like the biggest take away for me is
USE YOUR WILDCARDS!
If you're a new player and you don't want to spend any money but want to be able to climb through some ranks and rack up some wins, then I would recommend using your wildcards. It helped a ton and the rare wildcards are great to use on lands that will help you be mana stable early on. Anyway, this was fun. I might do another post on trying to climb the ranks with the AI made deck, or maybe when I get enough coins I will do a draft and see how that goes! Until next time. Keep on tapping!
