Hello, dear Hive friends!
¡Hola, queridos amigos de Hive!
Today I am challenging my imagination trying to describe how would it be my perfect videogame. I had never imagined so many details about it, I just said things like: "It would be fun to play something like..." or "could you imagine a horror game in which..." and I did not think further because we all know how difficult and expensive is for game developers to create one with so many expectations, so I know I am not the only one who stopped dreams because of reality, am I?
Hive Gaming Community and its contest this week encouraged me to do it find the perfect excuse to talk about how boring my ideas are hahaha so if you want to join the contest check it out here.
Hoy estoy retando mi imaginación tratando de describir cómo sería mi videojuego perfecto. Nunca había imaginado tantos detalles al respecto, simplemente decía cosas como: "Sería divertido jugar algo como..." o "podrías imaginarte un juego de terror en el que..." y no pensé más allá porque todos sabemos lo difícil y costoso que es para los desarrolladores de juegos crear uno con tantas expectativas, así que sé que no soy la única que paró de imaginar sus sueños por la realidad, ¿o sí?
La comunidad de Hive Gaming y su concurso de esta semana me alentaron a encontrar la excusa perfecta para hablar sobre mis ideas aburridas jajaja así que si quieren participar pueden revisar aquí.

I do not consider myself a gamer person since unfortunately I have not played enough games due to my limited budget to buy consoles, suitable PC or smartphone, but I have had the pleasure of playing some videogames thanks to generous friends who have shared their consoles with me to complete games (I love you guys), and even though my opinions about gaming are basic or cliché, I enjoy when I discover new games.
No me considero una persona "gamer" ya que lamentablemente no he jugado tantos juegos debido a mi presupuesto limitado para comprar consolas, PC o teléfonos adecuados, pero he tenido el placer de jugar algunos videojuegos gracias a amigos generosos que me han prestado sus consolas para pasar juegos, y a pesar de que mis opiniones sobre juegos son básicas o cliché yo disfruto mucho descubrir nuevos.
My favorite genre not only in videogames but also in movies is horror and I am afraid of hospitals because some doctor or nurses friends have told me their paranormal experiences there and it is scary for me. I know there are a lot of hospital horror games, but mine would have more playing options, and the plot, just imagine you got a new job at a hospital with low budget to hire enough employers, so when you have to spend your first night there to take care of your patients, you find the place empty, cold and dark, you are feeling something is wrong there, then you start facing demons and ghosts, but also trying to keep your patients alive while you are figuring out things about the past of the hospital, in which the owners are involved.
Mi género favorito no solamente en juegos sino también en películas es el terror, y le tengo miedo a los hospitales porque algunos amigos doctores o enfermeros me han contado sus experiencias paranormales allí y eso suena aterrador para mí. Sé que existen muchos juegos de horror de hospitales,pero el mío tendría más opciones de juego, y la trama, solo imaginen que obtuvieron un trabajo nuevo en un hospital con poco presupuesto para contratar suficientes empleados, entonces cuando tengas que hacer tu primera guardia nocturna para cuidar a tus pacientes, te encontrarás con un lugar vacío, frío y oscuro, comienzas a sentir que algo anda mal allí, luego comienzas a enfrentarte a demonios y fantasmas, pero también tratando de mantener a tus pacientes vivos mientras averiguas cosas sobre el pasado del hospital, en el que los dueños están envueltos.

You must be wondering, "it is not survival at all, what is this girl talking about?"
I know, if the enemies are ghosts, it does not sound like survival, but here's the thing, as the game progresses the ghosts and demons will become stronger because you will provoke them since the previous workers always quit due to the paranormal activity, but you are the main character you are supposed to be different, brave and all of these protagonists stuff, you are there willing to change everything, so the paranormal activity will be progressive, and you will also find out some humans are your enemies too, because they know what is happening and it is their fault, so they the information about the place can not be revealed. Further you will have to hide, fight or run to survive, what you think it works best for you.

Lo sé, si los enemigos son fantasmas, eso no suena a supervivencia del todo, pero aquí va la cosa, a medida de que el juego progresa los fantasmas y los demonios se volverán más fuertes porque tú los provocarás ya que los trabajadores anteriores siempre renunciaban debido a la actividad paranormal, pero tú eres el personaje principal, así que se supone que eres diferente, valiente y todo ese tipo de cosas de protagonistas, estás dispuesto a cambiarlo todo, así que la actividad paranormal será progresiva, y también encontrarás a algunos humanos son tus enemigos también, porque ellos saben qué está pasando y es su culpa, así que no quieren que la información se revele. Más adelante deberás esconderte, luchar o correr para sobrevivir, lo que creas que funcionará mejor para ti.
Before giving more details about the plot let's talk about the options to play it. I like games with options for different tastes, for example, in Call of Duty: Black Ops II you can play a game multiplayer, single player, zombies or you can pick the story mode. I would like to add these options to my game, if you play a new game as a single player you can pick a character, you can be a patient, a security guard, a doctor or a nurse, the objetive of this mode is fight against demons and ghosts. With multiplayer would be the same, your friends could pick the character they want and you could play all together online or on the same console if you decide to meet in person for a friends night.
Antes de darles más detalles sobre la trama, vamos a hablar de las opciones de juego. Me gustan los juegos con opciones para diferentes gustos, por ejemplo, en Call of Duty: Black Ops II puedes comenzar un nuevo juego de multijugador, solo, zombies o puedes escoger el modo historia. Me gustaría agregar estas opciones a mi juego, si comienzas un nuevo juego solo puedes escoger un personaje, puedes ser un paciente, un guardia de seguridad, un doctor o un enfermero, en este modo de juego lucharás contra demonios y fantasmas. Con el multijugador sería lo mismo, tus amigos podrían escoger el personaje que quieran y podrían jugar todos juntos online o en la misma consola si deciden verse en persona para una noche de amigos.

Now let me get more dreamy; on the story mode we could have two options, a single player story mode, or a multiplayer story mode, but online because I would like the game to be in first person with more freedom despite this crazy option. I'll explain you more clearly, both stories (single and multiplayer) could have the same objective but the way events unfold would change, of course. On the multiplayer option both players could share episodes side by side like CoD multiplayer option, and also have episodes in which both must be separated with different missions. I really love multiplayer games because it reminds me of when I used to play CoD with old friends, those were nights unforgettable.
Ahora permítanme ponerme más soñadora; en el modo historia podríamos tener dos opciones, un modo historia individual, y un modo historia de multijugador, pero solamente online porque me gustaría que el juego fuera en primera persona con más libertad a pesar de esta opción tan loca. Les explicaré un poco mejor, ambas historias (individual y multijugador) podrían tener el mismo objetivo pero la manera en que los eventos se desarrollan cambiarían, por supuesto. En la opción de multijugador ambos jugadores podrían compartir episodios lado a lado como en la opción de multijugador de CoD, pero también tendrían episodios en los cuales ambos deben estar separados para hacer diferentes misiones. Amo los juegos con multijugador porque me recuerda a cuando jugaba CoD con mis viejos amigos, esas fueron noches inolvidables.

I would like both story modes to be deep and sad, the main character is gradually figuring out that the ghosts and demons are ancient patients and employers who had the worst of the experiences in that place, and it is their resentment which is creating this creepy atmosphere. When the main characters face the enemies they can see their flashbacks and suffering, if these are weak spirits you can help them to find the way to rest in peace, but if these are powerful and dangerous the only option will be destroy them fight against them cunningly. Besides this, you will have a life out the hospital, and even inside this you will have to take care of your patients and deal with the deaths of some. The horror will start when you spend the night there, making the choices: survive or die. It would be a very long story mode, I know.
Me gustaría que ambos modo historia sean profundos y tristes, el personaje principal averigua poco a poco que los fantasmas y demonios son antiguos pacientes y empleados que han tenido las peores experiencias en ese lugar, y es su resentimiento el que está creando está atmósfera espeluznante. Cuando los personajes principales enfrentan a sus enemigos estos pueden ver sus flashbacks y sufrimientos, si estos son espíritus débiles podrás ayudarlos a encontrar el camino para descansar en paz, pero si estos son poderosos y peligrosos la única opción será destruirlos luchando contra ellos astutamente. Además de esto, tendrás una vida fuera del hospital, e incluso adentro tendrás que hacerte cargo de tus pacientes y lidiar con las muertes de algunos. El terror comenzará cuando pases las noches ahí, haciendo las elecciones: sobrevivir o morir. Sería un modo historia muy largo, lo sé.

Now I have to explain how would we protect and defend ourselves. Despite I like shooting games, here it doesn't fit at all. Our supplies will be most of the time surgical instruments and we could also make our own weapons, such as homemade pumps like The Last of Us motolov cocktails, taking resources of the hospital and choosing wisely which enemies to use them with. Sometimes hide, crouching or crawling will be the best choice.
Ahora debo explicar cómo nos protegeríamos y defenderíamos. A pesar de que me gustan los juegos de tiro, aquí no quedaría muy bien del todo. Vamos a usar la mayoría de las veces instrumentos quirúrgicos que tendremos que suministrar, y también podríamos hacer nuestras propias armas, así como bombas caseras como las de The Last of Us, tomando recursos del hospital y escogiendo inteligentemente con qué enemigos usar cada una. Aveces esconderse, agacharse o arrastrarse será la mejor opción.

About the graphics, design and style, I don't care if it doesn't have the best graphics, if it is similar to Silent Hill or Beyond to Soul it is okay, it is still scary if the illumination is gloomy and the ghosts are ugly, actually I do not want them to look fantastic, I want a mixture of psychological Japanese horror style and demons similar to the simplest monsters in Silent Hill.
Con respecto a los gráficos, el diseño y estilo, no me importa si no tiene los mejores gráficos, si es parecido a Silent Hill o Beyond to Soul está bien, sigue siendo espeluznante si la iluminación es sombría y los fantasmas son feos, de hecho, no quiero que se vean fantásticos, quiero una mezcla de estilos de terror psicológico japonés y demonios similares a los monstruos más simples de Silent Hill.
The soundtrack will help a lot with fear, listening a breath back on your neck, sounds like a wailing cry or something/someone crawling could make you feel in there, but if we are talking about music itself, I'd like dark music resemble to the slow movements of Shostakovich's String Quartets, and piano songs for touching or overwhelming episodes, resemble to Chopin Nocturnes.
La música ayudará mucho con el miedo, escuchar una respiración justo detrás de tu cuello, sonidos como un llanto de lamento y algo/alguien arrastrándose podrían hacerte sentir ahí, pero si estamos hablando de la música en sí, me gustaría una música oscura semejante a los movimientos lentos de los Cuartetos para cuerda de Shostakovich, y canciones con piano para los momentos conmovedores o abrumadores, parecidos a los Nocturnos de Chopin.
And now, how to overcome some quiet missions? Easy. Puzzles, similar to those of Zelda to use our brains, remember, the main character is trying to figure out the true about the place, its past and its owners, not everything will be run and fight.
Y ahora, ¿cómo superar las misiones tranquilas? Fácil. Acertijos, similares a los de Zelda para usar nuestras mentes, recuerden, el personaje principal está tratando de descifrar sobre la verdadera historia de ese lugar, su pasado y sus dueños, no todo será correr y luchar.
