Introduction
Before starting with the guide, if you are new to Hive and you are not familiar with concepts such as Hive Keychain or any other subject, I recommend you to first review this

What is Crownrend?
Crownrend is an online strategy game, which progresses progressively and requires little player interaction. You will take control of a small kingdom in Calderan, a region ravaged by constant wars, with the objective of strengthening your kingdom by improving its production or plundering vulnerable kingdoms to get your hands on their loot. You start as a humble village and, as you advance, you will become one of the most powerful kingdoms in Calderan.
How can I start playing Crownrend?
To start playing Crownrend, go to the following LINK and follow the steps below:
- Enter our username from Hive and log in.
- Since you don't have a kingdom yet, you will be informed that you need to pay an amount of 10 dollars in HIVE currency to begin.
- After making the payment, you will be able to choose the name of your kingdom and start playing.
The Game Tokens
In Crownrend, we will find two types of currencies: the DENAR and the ORI. Below is a table explaining the characteristics of each.

After starting our adventure in the game, we are granted 10 DENAR, which will be useful for improving and strengthening our kingdom.
First Steps
After naming our kingdom, we find the interface without any tutorial. Therefore, I have decided to divide it into sections to clearly explain the function of each part.
In this section, we can see our Hive username, the name of our kingdom, the alliance we belong to, and a button to share. By clicking the button, we will receive our referral link, which will allow us to earn 1 HIVE for each registered kingdom. The link to the Crownrend Discord is also included.

- Orichalcum: It is our IN-GAME balance of the ORI token, used to upgrade our items and create an alliance.
- Denar: It is our IN-GAME balance of the DENAR token, used to improve the statistics of your kingdom.
- Unclaimed: It is the DENAR recently produced through the efficiency of our taxes or looting. It is at risk of being looted by enemy kingdoms if we don't claim it soon.
5.Claim Button: It is a button that is available every four hours of real time, it is the one that allows us to secure our DENAR UNCLAIMED loot.
- Players: User ranking based on the total statistics of your kingdom to obtain KP (Kingdom Power).
- Alliance: Menu where we can join an alliance.
- Wallet: From here, we can deposit and withdraw our DENAR and ORI to/from Hive Engine.
- Settings: It offers you the vacation mode option, explained here.
Army Stats and Domain Stats
After exploring the main part of the user interface, we come across the army statistics. These are very important, as they have a direct impact on the success of our raids and the defense of our kingdom. Every time we upgrade a stat level, its upgrade price will increase by 1.75 DENAR.

Next, we encounter the domain statistics, which directly affect our passive DENAR production and the storage of unclaimed DENAR. Every time we upgrade a stat level, its upgrade price will increase by 1.75 DENAR.

Once all the statistics are reviewed, it's time to use our initial 10 DENAR. The most recommended approach is to improve both the army strength and army toughness in a balanced way, to facilitate both attacks and the defense of our kingdom. It's also useful to improve the tax efficiency a little, but without overdoing it, as insufficient army toughness may leave you vulnerable to looting.

BATTLE HALL
For now, we will skip the ITEMS section, so let's move on to another of the most important sections of the game: the Battle Hall. This is where we can organize our raids on enemy kingdoms. In the interface, we will see a statistic called Charges, which decreases by one unit each time we attack.

The kingdoms available to attack will be displayed in card format and sorted in descending order according to the amount of DENAR available to steal from them. The system is balanced so that the most powerful realms do not appear, ensuring that there are always suitable options for our level.
Since the last update, realms with toughness higher than your strength will no longer be displayed.
After attacking an enemy kingdom and winning, we will get at least its unclaimed DENAR depending on the statistics of our army and luck. After attacking an enemy, a few seconds of protection is applied against attacks from any realm and then Battle Protection is applied against the attacking realm
I will explain how this attacks works in the next section.
How does the attack actually work?
Previously, I gave a basic notion of the army statistics. However, the system is more complex than that and I will try to explain it in table format.
To explain the examples well, I will be using my army statistics.

Now our objective is to get a victim to be able to plunder his loot from DENAR. I have chosen the kingdom that has the most loot and that has the same army toughness as my army strength, being sure that I will win.

We received only 0.20 DENAR . This is the big mistake that most people make at the beginning of the game, attacking the kingdom that has the most loot available and that you can beat. For this victory, we will only get 5% of DENAR unclaimed.
We should always look for kingdoms with a good amount of DENAR available, but it is essential that they have much less army toughness points than you have army strength. The difference between the two influences the amount you can steal. This works with the luck factor as well, I will explain it briefly in a table.

In case you didn't understand, for each unit that you get the difference, you will have the possibility of taking 2.5% more up to a maximum of 50%. However, this works like a dice roll, between the minimum and maximum, in this case with the best of luck I could have taken 10% of the loot. In this case, I could have stolen 7% of his DENAR unclaimed.
These calculations also apply to the morale that allows us to get double DENAR for each attack if we are lucky. Unlike the looted DENAR, the default value is 0% which is added according to the difference between stats. These probabilities are cumulative up to 75(now only up to 50%) of critical probabilities.

To conclude this section, what happens with morale also applies to Army Tactics and Army Speed, with a maximum cap of 50%.
ITEMS
We skipped the Items section, but it is for one reason only: they are an advanced part of the game and obtaining them is quite expensive.
The first thing to know is that there are three main types of ITEMS and each has another five sub-type of item:

We have a total of 15 subtypes, which is the number of ITEMS we can have equipped at the same time. The items can provide us with these temporary statistics (as long as we have them) according to the type they belong to:

Currently, we have ways to obtain ITEMS, either by purchasing a chest of 100 DENAR to mint one at random or by buying them in the MARKETPLACE.

This droprate may change over time, so it may not be the same values in the future.
The items are quite interesting, as they offer valuable bonuses. I think it is important to plan to obtain them in the long term.
ALLIANCE
One of the latest additions to the game has been the new alliance system. To create an alliance, it is necessary to have the amount of 0.25 ORI, which can be quite expensive, considering the price of ORI on the market today. This allows us to have an alliance of only two members. The tempting thing about being part of an alliance is that it gives us a bonus of +5 strength and +5 toughness.
As I have seen, there are plans to add an alliance war system in the future, which generates a lot of hype.
OTHER CONCEPTS
- Trade Power:
The Trade Power can only be obtained through items and significantly influences our income:
Trade Power Bonus = Base Income × 0.30 × Trade Power 0.00003 denar/s = 0.00001 × 0.30 × 10
- Vacation Mode:
This option can be accessed from “Settings”. This slows down the realm production and the regeneration of attack recharges. This is useful, if you will be absent for a few days and want to escape the penalty of not spending DENAR for three days.
- Battle Protection: After attacking an enemy kingdom, a cooldown of four hours is applied until it can be attacked again.
- Unrest: In case you have not spent DENAR in the last three days, it generates discontent and unrest in the kingdom that will increase as time goes by. It starts to affect your earnings every hour until it reaches 100%. That is why it is very important to use the Vacation Mode, in case of inactivity, or to have DENAR saved, so that when the time comes, you can spend and lose the negative bonus.

- Kingdom Power: It is the sum of all our army statistics. It serves to be positioned in the Ranking. I also suspect that it determines which available kingdoms you can attack, so that the game is more balanced.
- DENAR In-GAME: The denar IN-GAME is the one we get when we claim our unsecured DENAR, this is used to improve our army and domain statistics. In the wallet section we have the option to withdraw it to Hive Engine or in the opposite case, we have the option to deposit the DENAR we have in Hive Engine.
