Today is hunting Monday, so I have put on my camouflage clothes, cleaned my guns and headed to Roonache Heights. Today I have a goal to kill only male animals, I read in a forum that having good shots and killing only male animals increases the probability of a legendary animal appearing and thus, increases the chance of getting a Diamond trophy. Maybe it's all a lie, but the challenge of respecting the sex of the animal seems interesting to me.

It is still dark and I have plotted my course to the north of this area, look at this beautiful view. My faithful companion Rasputin accompanies me and he is very happy to see me.
We were walking for about 30 minutes and we never saw or heard anything, no animals, it seemed very strange to me. I stopped at the border with Mount Kraken because I could see in the distance some white-tailed deer eating. They were females so I was not interested in them, however it is good to discover that feeder for future explorations.
Very close to that feeder was another moose feeder, I could see an adult buck with big antlers, I slowly approached, crouching down so he wouldn't see me, and using the bushes as a hiding place, but he kept moving and moving away. I lost sight of him, I got up to see if I could see him in the distance and I did not find him, I continued on my way and the female white-tailed deer did not stop bothering me with their warning calls.

I heard a turkey in the distance and I went to see if I could hunt it, when I got closer I could see that it was running away, wow, from more than 100 meters away it detected me, the truth is that it is very difficult for me to hunt turkeys. The thing is that in the distance I could see a very quiet moose very similar to the one I had lost sight of before, I think it was the same one, so I focused on him. I got a little closer and shot it trying to hit a vital organ, I needed to hit a lung.

The pool of blood on the ground indicated to me that I hit a vital organ, I was about to give the order to Rasputin to follow the blood trail when I heard another elk very close, so I lay down, I heard his footsteps quite close. I crouched down and saw him about 10 yards away, I got a little nervous because he was a very big buck with giant antlers. I took out my rifle and lowered the scope so I could aim at close range, I could see him with total clarity, I crouched down, he was in an aggressive tone but he had not seen me yet, he was looking for me, I shot him in the belly trying to affect some vital organ, he ran fast and I lost sight of him, I got up and reloaded my rifle just in case.
I gave the order to Rasputin to follow the trail I had in range while I marked the place to go back and follow the trail of the other elk I had just shot, I had also hit him in a vital organ. We went in search of one of them and a few meters away we found the two moose, very close to each other, when this happens I love it because there is no need to go back to the initial place to look for the trail.

One of them gave me a silver trophy, with a weight of 492 kg, I was able to hit him in the right lung. The other elk had a weight of 534 Kg, the shot pierced his liver, stomach and intestines, an excellent shot, his antlers are beautiful.

After this, I spent a long time at a wild turkey feeder, at one point several arrived but I could not see them, I only heard their footsteps, I moved a little to see some and I only saw the shadows on the ground because they flew away, I was very sorry, I had been waiting for them for a long time. Then I went to an elevated observation post, I spent many minutes waiting to see if any animal came across and I didn't see any, I only heard some wild turkeys in the distance that I preferred to ignore.
For today I will leave my hunt until here, as I have been playing for many hours, even though I have only been able to hunt a couple of animals, they have been two moose males that have given me good trophies, and I have fulfilled today's challenge. See you in a next episode of this wonderful game The Hunter Call of the Wild.
