Greetings Hive Gamers. This week I was encouraged to hunt coyotes since I had a pending mission called fauna control, it consisted of killing a couple of coyotes in Cheelah, I tell you a little about this and something more.
Hunting coyotes is quite difficult because they detect me from more than 100 meters away, they are very fast, they have an excellent sight and smell, sometimes they are solitary, other times they are in pairs or in groups of three. The times I have seen them in groups have been at the feeders, but I have almost always seen them alone.
By the way, I have learned that I can hide very well with the branches of some bushes, this has served me very well and it was the technique I used and have been using to hunt everything.
I heard the warning of a coyote in the distance, about 130 meters away, I hid in a bush and used the hare decoy to lure it, in this you have to be very patient as the coyote is quite cautious. After several calls I heard the animal's footsteps but could not see it. I could tell by the sound of hurried footsteps and branches that it ran away for some reason, so I tried again with a lot of patience. After a while I saw it very close in front of me, I took my rifle and fired. He died instantly because I hit him in the head, he was a 21 kg male, he barely gave me a trophy because I hit him in the skull and damaged the piece, but my intention was to accomplish the mission. The truth is that I was very happy to discover this technique of hiding in the branches because I could then hunt other coyotes effectively, so I put it into practice and I was able to accomplish the mission and also hunt many others.

Saludos Gamers de Hive. Esta semana me animé a cazar coyotes ya que tenía pendiente una misión llamada control de faunas, consistía en matar un par de coyotes en Cheelah, les cuento un poco sobre esto y algo más.
Cazar coyotes es bastante difícil ya me detectan a más de 100 metros de distancia, son muy veloces, tienen una excelente vista y olfato, a veces están solitarios, otras veces andan en parejas o en grupos de tres. Las veces que los he visto en grupos ha sido en los comederos, pero casi siempre los he visto solos.
Por cierto, he aprendido que puedo ocultarme muy bien con las ramas de algunos arbustos, esto me ha servido muchísimo y fue la técnica que utilicé y he estado utilizando para cazar de todo.
Escuché la advertencia de un coyote a lo lejos, como a unos 130 metros de distancia, me oculté en un arbusto y utilicé el señuelo de liebre para atraerlo, en esto hay que tener mucha paciencia ya que el coyote es bastante cauteloso. Luego de varios llamados escuché los pasos del animal pero no lograba verlo. Pude notar por el sonido de pasos apresurados y ramas que huyó por alguna razón, entonces volví a intentar con mucha paciencia. Luego de un rato lo vi muy cerca enfrente de mí, tomé mi rifle y disparé. Murió de forma instantánea porque le di en la cabeza, era un macho de 21 Kg, apenas y me otorgó un trofeo porque le di en el cráneo y dañe la pieza, pero mi intención era cumplir la misión. La verdad me alegré mucho por descubrir esta técnica de ocultarme en las ramas ya que podría entonces cazar otros coyotes con efectividad, así que la puse en práctica y pude cumplir la misión y además cazar muchos otros.
The strategy I use is the following, if I hear the warning sound of a coyote, I look for a place to hide and use the "hare in trouble" lure to attract them, the biggest disadvantage of this is that I have to wait several minutes and if the wind is not in my favor the coyote will run away even if it does not see me because of my foul human smell. However with a lot of patience it has been working for me.
Once I hit a coyote while it was running away, I shot it walking to see if I hit it, when I checked the place I saw traces of blood that indicated a superficial impact, even so I decided to follow the trail because I saw a lot of blood. I spent several minutes following the blood and I could tell that the coyote was losing a lot of health, after a while I found it dead several kilometers away.
I have been practicing rabbit and duck hunting. I was able to kill a few and that allows me to understand the behavior so I can be more effective in hunting them. But this topic I may address in the next post. Turkeys I was not able to get on this outing.

La estrategia que utilizo es la siguiente, si escucho el sonido de advertencia de un coyote, busco un lugar donde ocultarme y utilizo el señuelo de "liebre en problemas" para atraerlos, la mayor desventaja de esto es que debo esperar varios minutos y si el viento no esta a mi favor el coyote huirá aunque no me vea por mi olor asqueroso a humano. Sin embargo con mucha paciencia me ha estado funcionando.
Una vez le di a un coyote mientras huía, le disparé andando a ver si acertaba, al revisar el lugar vi rastros de sangre que me indicaban impacto superficial, aun así decidí seguir el rastro porque vi mucha sangre. Estuve varios minutos siguiendo la sangre y pude notar que el coyote estaba perdiendo mucha salud, después de un rato lo encontré muerto a varios kilómetros.
He estado practicando la caza de conejos y patos. Pude matar algunos y eso me permite entender el comportamiento para poder ser más efectivo en la cacería de ellos. Pero este tema tal vez lo aborde en el siguiente post. Pavos no pude conseguir en esta salida.
I spotted a Roosevelt Wapiti with spectacular antlers, it was calm in a resting place, I was lucky to have the wind in my favor so it did not sniff me. I had a clear view of the animal but it was lying in front of me, I could not aim at a lung, nor at the heart, it was very difficult to hit any of its organs, so I decided to shoot it in the neck. Death was instantaneous, the shot fractured the middle of his neck, this allowed me to leave the antlers intact and win the Gold trophy. A beautiful 441 kg buck, I forgot to take pictures of the antler measurements, but look at this beauty.

Avisté un Wapití de Roosevelt con una cornamenta espectacular, estaba calmado en un lugar de descanso, tuve la suerte de tener el viento a mi favor para que no me olfateara. Agachado me fui acercando poco a poco hasta llegar a unos 100 metros de distancia, tuve una vista clara del animal pero estaba acostado de frente a mí, no podía apuntar a un pulmón, tampoco al corazón, estaba muy difícil acertar alguno de sus órganos, entonces decidí dispararle al cuello. La muerte fue instantánea, el tiro le fracturó el cuello medio, esto me permitió dejar intacta la cornamenta y ganar el trofeo de Oro. Un macho hermoso de 441Kg, me olvide tomar captures de las medidas de la cornamenta, pero miren ustedes esta belleza.
It was a good day of hunting, I also killed several blacktail and whitetail deer, completed other missions I had pending, plus daily and weekly Hunted Beta Club missions.
I'm getting together to buy a bigger bag and then a quality hunting bow and arrows, I've managed to get pretty close to groups of animals so I think I could get more out of it by using a silent weapon. This game is a lot of fun for me despite being repetitive, for some reason I feel relaxed and calm at the same time I get excited and upset depending on the shot or the animal XD. Recently I was 7 meters away from a big Roosevelt Wapiti, after spending several minutes changing my position so the wind wouldn't give me away, I hid very well but the animal saw me just when I was about to pull the trigger and ran, not satisfied with that it came back to hit me with its horns and then ran away. I was annoyed and from a distance while he was running, I shot him. When I checked I could see that I made a superficial impact but this had become something personal and I dedicated myself to follow the trail, then, after an hour walking I returned to the same place where it all started, so the animal disappeared by magic, I had no choice but to close the game to pass that bitter pill.

Fue un buen día de caza, también maté varios ciervos de cola negra y cola blanca, cumplí otras misiones que tenía pendiente, además de misiones Hunted Beta Club diaria y semanal.
Estoy reuniendo para comprarme un bolso más grande y luego un arco de caza y flechas de calidad, he logrado acercarme bastante a grupos de animales por lo cual creo que podría sacarle mayor provecho en utilizar un arma silenciosa. Este juego me divierte muchísimo a pesar de ser repetitivo, por alguna razón me siento relajado y tranquilo a la vez que me emociona y me altera según el disparo o el animal XD. Hace poco estuve a 7 metros de un gran Wapití de Roosevelt, después de pasar varios minutos cambiando de posición para que el viento no me delatara, me oculté muy bien pero el animal me vio justo cuando iba a accionar el gatillo y corrió, no conforme con ello se devolvió a golpearme con sus cachos y luego se dio a la fuga. Yo estuve molesto y a la distancia mientras él corría, le disparé. Al revisar pude ver que le hice un impacto superficial pero esto se había vuelto algo personal y me dediqué a seguirle el rastro, pues, después de una hora andando volví al mismo lugar donde empezó todo, así que el animal desapareció por arte de magia, no me quedó de otra que cerrar el juego para pasar ese trago amargo.
